Official, non-photoshop images of Generations Leader Megatron (Armada and G1), as well as Wave 2 of the Deluxes are on Hasbro's US site.

G1 Megatron appears to have metallic silver all over and is smaller than your average Leader figure, judging from the box.
Offroad also has grey and red paint, instead of the photoshopped darker colour on the airbrushed versions.
Strangely, no pictures of the carded deluxes. Could they be putting comics in this time around?
DISCLAIMER: Megatron does not combine. He is just part of the subline of Generations known as Combiner Wars.

Good to see blackjack seems based off of his g1 Micromaster self. I really hate those Megatrons though. Blaaaaaaaaaaaah!

More interested in Off Road and Blackjack than anything else. The line's simplified transformations are more fitting for upscaled Micromasters :)

Does this version of G1 Megs turn into a gun or a tank?
Super pumped for this lot - the Stunticons were my first ever gestalt group as s kid so always had a soft spot for'em :)

Tank (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-generations-classics-30-35/transformers-2015-generations-leader-megatron-official-images-two-megatrons-180471/).
They've just coloured it green for the Armada Megatron, and given it a new head.

Awwww really? Bugger :(
That's disappointing - I usually don't care about toys that homage non-G1 characters but I really loved Armada Megatron - he was an awesome damn toy with tons of play value! One of my fav ever! Don't know if I will be able to justify buying both (though knowing me I will :o)

My Cloud Megatron suddenly feels redundant now. :p
They all look pretty cool. Armada Megs doesn't personally interest me, but the G1 version looks cool. It looks to be a reasonable compromise at having a G1 looking Megatron robot, but of course we all know that for legal reasons, Hasbro cannot have him transform into a gun. The fictitious gun thing was already done w/ Voyager Classics Megatron (Nerf Maverick), so I can understand them going w/ the tank. And obviously it's given them the Armada redeco, which is something that is harder to pull off with a gun moded Megs.

I still somewhat enjoy the irony that Cloud/G2 Megatron is moulded after Bludgeon, when in the G2 comic he kills Bludgeon :p
They should have slightly remoulded Leader Armada Megatron so his cannon is attachable on his waist (ugly, and hated it, but this should have been his original mould!) or given him new weapon/minicon - maybe Dark Star Sabre.

If I were designing a Mini-Con for this Megatron mould, I'd make it a G1 Seeker. Paint it purple and call it Hotlink for G1 Megatron, then paint it grey and call it Leader-1 for Armada Megs. ;)

I like the look of "g1" Megatron. He looks well designed having good proportions and details in both bot and tank modes - I just can't get past the idea that g1 Megs is a Walther P-38.
The Stunticons look great though!

I'm really digging that Megatron. I thought it was just going to be Hasbro Grey but turns out they're using that sleek silver instead.

Finally get a classics leader Megatron and it's a combiner wars?
Is the Jetfire remold Leader Thundercracker the only real leader class figure announced for 2015? What are the odds we'll see others?

Megatron does not combine. He's just part of the Combiner Wars subline, which is just basically your run of the mill Generations line.

The Megatron (and Armada Megatron) are Leader Class like Jetfire.
One of the Megatrons was originally aimed to be released with Jetfire last year, but something must have forced them to hold it back for 2015.

Same. When I first heard the news of Gen1 Megatron, I was jumping out of my skin. To find out that his alt mode is a tank curbed my enthusiasm.

...but... what else were you expecting? HasTak's options for Megatron are either:
Make Megatron a Walther P38, in which case the toy would be banned in most Hasbro markets. TakaraTOMY could do it, however, some Australians may require permits (and conform to safe storage requirements) or be completely outlawed from owning this toy, depending on where you live. This would probably not be a feasible option for Hasbro though.
Make Megatron a fictitious unrealistic looking gun. HasTak have already done this with Classics, Henkei and United Megatrons (Nerf N-Strike Mavericks).
Make Megatron a significantly undersized Walther P38; so small that it cannot possibly be mistaken for a real gun. This is how Hasbro were able to make Reveal the Shield Megatron. Toys like Smallest Megatron and Choro Q Megatron are also perfectly legal in Australia; in NSW these toys do not need to be placed in safe storage unlike G1 Megs, MP Megs and Browning.
Make Megatron transform into something else other than a gun. As has been the case for most Megatron toys for over 21 years now.

He has a ridiculously powerful fusion cannon on his arm. Why would he bother transforming into a pistol that needs someone else to use? Was it so others can fondle his trigger?
As a child, Megatron was one of the only TF's I had no interest in getting. Mostly because he didn't have an alt. mode that could interact with the others.

I'm the exact opposite. I would love getting something like Megatron that I could interact myself with as a kid. It would be worth the sacrifice IMO. I guess that's why I've always wanted a G1 Shockwave, because it would be totally rad to have a lights and sound laser gun based off a favourite character.

People mock the Roleplay toys from the last 10 odd years (since Armada had Laserbeak and Star Saber), and yet, the leader of the Decepticons from the very first year of toys was essentially a roleplay toy (as noted by Demonac - it was way out of scale to properly "interact" with the other toys of that year, making it unrealistic to play with the other toys when it is in gun mode... it was more for the kid to play as a real gun in that mode).

I agree. Shockwave was never released in Australia, but I grew up playing with "Shackwave," which I absolutely loved. Ditto Soundwave, Blaster and the cassettes, as well as the Insecticons (who did mass-shift in the G1 comics). I used to pretend that these toys had shrunken down in their alt modes and that I would be some unwitting human that stumbled across them and used them, and through me, gain access to certain places. e.g. I'd pretend that I was a scientist, and say I'd "find" Soundwave and carry him with me to my "lab" etc. :D And I did exactly the same thing when Real Gear Robots came out. :) I quite like role play Transformers. But yeah, they're certainly not interactive with other Transformers. ;)
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y227/goktimusprime/avatars/madboard02.jpg
But honestly, during my toy-to-toy play, I would just use my imagination when they "transformed" to their shrunken down forms; kinda like what Peter Jackson does w/ human-sized actors who play Hobbits and Dwarves; IRL they're not smaller, but I would imagine that they were to scale w/ each other. e.g. transform Soundwave to alt mode and put him to my left, pretending that he was inside say the cockpit of a Decepticon Jet, while on my right I'd have say Skywarp in jet mode and imagine that he was flying with Soundwave inside the cockpit. But in my imagination Soundwave was inside Skywarp. ;) But this was nothing compared to when I played Robotech! The only Zentraedi soldier that I had was a "Micronised" one (did they ever make a bigger one?), so for example, when I'd have Max Sterling running away from my Zentraedi soldier, I'd put the Zentraedi right in front of my eye to make him look bigger, with the human at arm's length to make him seem smaller and "super impose" each other when they interacted (e.g. Zentraedi picking up the human). Okay, sure, they'd never both be in focus with each other, but hey... I made do. :p And heck, even with the larger toys (e.g. Breetai), they still weren't exactly to scale to the 10cm human figures, so I still had to do some "super imposing" (just not as bad as w/ a 10cm Micronised Zentraedi :p). And I would do the same when I played G.I. Joes w/ Transformers too. :o

I kind of liked the Galvatron route - having him turn into a space Howitzer/mobile artillery battery, but not actually a tank (which has already been done quite a few times over).
That said, I don't mind G1 Megs becoming a gun either, but as noted it's a bit impractical for a wide-scale toy release in Hasbro markets these days. What I would like to see is characters like Shockwave and Sixshot given Legends toys that can be used by the Combiner Wars gestalts. Sixshot could probably get away with being a standard 2-mode TF or triple-changer if he could be used with, say, a Combiner Wars Abominus.

Megatron as a pistol was one of the many mistakes of Transformers when it was created that didn't really manifest until it became bigger. Having him as a gun, while iconic, is utterly devoid of feasibility for the reasons Goki mentioned.

Although impractical, Megatron's gunmode was always one of the special, magical parts of G1 Transformers for me. It was a pretty badass animation in the show.

No doubt but that's largely nostalgia talking. There's a reason why all recent media have done away with such blatant levels of mass-shifting. The worst is Prime Arcee and that's still tame compared to original G1.
Honestly, G1 centric toys are incredibly restrictive, which is why you don't get absurd things like tape-players anymore.

I'm not sure what to think of those Megs (both of them), G1's paint job and details rather cool, but there's is something very static and boring about the toys overall aesthetic in robot mode.
I wonder if they will do a G2 repaint?

G1 Galvatron does also have a space pistol mode (http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/8/85/G1_Galvatron_toy.jpg). While Galvatron didn't use his pistol mode in the G1 cartoon, he did use it in the G1 comics. Galvatron could mass-shift as Megatron would, allowing him to ride inside Cyclonus' cockpit. Galvatron II (plucked from an alternate future) didn't mass shift when transforming to his pistol mode though; it was just a giant flying space gun (similar to Shockwave and Straxus).

Oh no, not Arcee. Help us. It's just so incredibly off. I like huge mass shifts better than stupid things like that.

Yep, they mentioned that at BotCon last year (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showpost.php?p=422973&postcount=7)... telling us to block our ears if we didn't want to hear comic spoilers. :p
Leader Wave 1 - Megatron (Gen1-ish tank from Legends game)
Leader Wave 1.5 - Megatron (Armada tank - redeco with new head).
Working Treads on tanks. Gen1 Megatron will come with an Autobot Sticker for those wanting to replicate the IDW comic.
Gen1 Megatron was originally meant to come out with Jetfire in 2014, but was pushed back to early 2015.
