News has reached the usual sites this morning of a possible reissue of Trypticon, Perceptor and Blaster from a Hasbro Asia event. No info on if it's a general Hasbro reissue or if it's just Hasbro Asia. Also included is a little info on CW Devastator

Trypticon is awesome but I finally got one (in very good condition) a year or two ago from a member here, so my need for a new one is not like it once was.
actually the same can be said for Blaster and Perceptor.
It's great that this stuff is being made available again but I might skip these releases myself.

LoL Blaster & Perceptor. Dragging those molds out for another go i see... poor guys, with the announcement of Trypticon, it feels like Ellen Degeneres & Roseanne Barr sharing a catwalk with Adriana Lima.

I hope Hasbro pulls through with Trypticon. I'll probably get Blaster as well.

Harsh, comparing Ellen to Roseanne, that's like comparing Human Alliance Soundwave to ROTF Scalpel. :)

Already have Blaster and Perceptor but have never owned a Trypticon. It is certainly tempting... although, space has become an issue for me.

Blaster and Perceptor have been reissued by Takara so I see possibility of this happening. But Trypticon .. he has not been reissued so I am thinking this is a massive rumor.
Hasbro would not reissue a figure before Takara

Trypticon would be sensational... back in the 80's Target was having a sale and Trypticon was going for $20 (or something like that... it was really cheap either way)!!! My mother wouldn't let me have it :( Of course now I am going to pay a premium but I will finally have him, YAY!

A varient of Trypticon was used for Beast Wars smething in Japan, so there must be some form of him kicking around somewhere.
Ooor, Maybe its a new Titan to go with new Metroplex?:D

Sounds as though G1 Trypticon reisssue is a very popular choice.
Out of curiosity, what was the RRP of G1 Trypticon back in the day?

He was $58 USD (in one of the US catalogues of the time - compared to a USD $23 Ultra Magnus). So in AUD, I dunno, $120, $150 or more maybe? (Source on reddit (http://www.reddit.com/r/transformers/comments/2bd1l8/1986_sears_catalog/))

Trypticon may not have been reissued, but it's not like (as far as we know) the mould is lost. It was last used in the 90s for BW2 Gigastorm. As to Hasbro reissuing it before Takara, who can say? Stranger things have happened.

We have never had the full set of Cone Heads reissued, yet it's confirmed Hasbro is doing them. I would like to know on all the reissues coming this year (confirmed or not) if there are any safety modifications. Much as I want a G1 Trypticon, Cone Heads and Insecticons safety modifications ruin it for me. That's why I've never picked up a Ultra Magnus reissue, Hasbro just loves to snip those stacks.

I'd consider getting a Trypticon reissue (my G1 Trypticon is missing a lot of accessories :p), but I don't need another Blaster or Perceptor. :o

Hasbro did reissue the Seacons which TakaraTOMY have yet to do. :o

I can't see Trypticon getting only a limited release; given that the mould's been on hiatus for so long. If there's a limited release, we'll see a wider release later (no doubt with some cosmetic changes).

I haven't ever owned these guys but they don't really fit with my collecting patterns (comic characters, masterpiece). Percy maybe as he's a big MTMTE fellow...

I personally see my Classicsverse figures as being more representative of IDWverse, whereas my G1s (incl. reissues) represent Marvel/Sunbow. :o But of course, I'll mix and match if need be -- e.g. if I want to play out LSotW, I'm gonna need to throw in my G1 Ironfist, Rotorstorm, Stalker, my-imaginary-Overlord etc. :p

Box art on the front has surfaced (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/new-image-for-g1-reissue-platinum-blaster-and-perceptor-set/32728/) from somewhere on Facebook (Seibertron didn't post up a link to a source again, so I can't say where it is from to give the original person the credit).
Looks a little 2-dimensional... and Perceptor is like a cardboard statue.
Where's the overdone action poses we used to have in character art.

It went the way of dull surprise. :p
Seriously though, I have to say that while Perceptor does look a little static, Blaster's pose is kind of crazy dynamic: the twist, the leg bend, the point, the open tape deck... it's all pretty exciting. I can only guess that the artist wanted to contrast Perceptor with that, but unfortunately the result is that he looks kinda boring.
Definitely keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be able to get hold of this set, but it's not as much a priority as some other stuff at the moment.

Ken Christiansen has been doing the pencils for combiner wars stuff, he did the Insecticons I'm pretty sure. I don't know who the colourist/renderer is because it's someone working for Dena/Mobage (TF Legends guys)

The Insecticons and Coneheads packaging art looks great, but this one feels a bit flat compared to the action shots on the others.

This was posted this morning on a Transformers trading page on Facebook.
Also posted more recently are 2 pictures of alleged MP-26 Road Rage. I'm not sure how reliable it is though or how to link to it.

Is it normal not to hear any leaked info with regard to release date for Trypticon? Hasbro is doing a mighty good job of keeping it contained.

Rise of the zombie thread!!!.... Grrr, argh....
Got the Blaster Perceptor set on the weekend.
Eject has a tampo bot symbol on his chest for the first time.... Which must be because he was asleep in the ratbat line and got PURPLE TAPE DECO!!!!
And there's a little more gold in blasters legs.... Undecided if I like it... But his bloody bot symbol is ever so slightly off centre and really annoying me!
Perceptor looks good, interesting way they found for him to wear his slides.... But haven't had time to work out what's actually in the slides yet.
Last two tapes... Wish they had bot symbols like eject....
Oh, and speaking of eject.... Blaster ejects perfectly!

If they reissue him in G1 Cartoon colours I might grab him. I bought the Takara version, but the electronics didn't work. Takara QC failed.
