As per TFW: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-masterpiece-47/next-toys-r-us-exclusive-masterpiece-figure-is-starscream-182142/

From a US TRU database (I would assume);

Trnsfrmrs Mstpc Strscrm
Item: 376475
Vendor Style: B4702

I'm guessing it will basically be like Thundercracker, Acid Storm, or Sunstorm - no cape, etc and the MP-11 mould.

I was thinking Hasbro would never do a MP-11 Starscream because of how long its been since the mould was released.

Guess my Rumour was accurate. :)

I shouldn't have bought mp-11 but I got it cheap so doesn't matter as the cape and crown would be ok.

The colours though I suspect would be proper white. And by now it will hit stores at $140 maybe.

You could almost assume that Thundercracker and skywarp would be up in the next few years.

And if we wait a bit more Optimus is bound to show up as well.

"TRU Sideswipe

TRU Starscream (I am just throwing in a seeker, it can be anything)"

These were my rumours, I thought they were quite obvious ones though we all know bluestreak is coming out first.

Hopefully it looks good and is affordable like the others. I would prefer the coronation set, but it's not the end of the world if it doesn't have it.

Well Screamer has just gone up for pre-order on the US Toys R Us website.

$59.99 USD - not a bad price.

A tad under $180 would be my guess.
Bluestreak is $129.99, sooo...

Blue streak is 59 in the U.S. (Same price as screamer) and is 129 here. It'll either be the same price as streak or somewhere between 150-200 (I'm leaning towards 200)

I got the re-issue of coronation Starscream for something like $185 delivered so it doesn't bother me if this comes out since it is likely to be $150 or so.

$185 was a good price... I would have gotten mine for $190 delivered but I bought MP13 Soundwave first and the cassettes instead of SC.. Now price has sky rocketed to at least $250

With Hasbro MP sunstorm as reference, this should just be below $200 IMO

Unfortunately, that was before the AU$ plunged, which saw $30 added to the Autobot Cars - so expect at least that much added to MP Starscream.... probably about $50 more, because the AU$ has dropped even more since the $130 Autobot Cars came through the system.

I gotten mp-11 at $159 so I expected this to be white but does not look much different. Kind of let down.

I am actually quite confident skywarp and thundercracker will be hasbro sold next year and after. Seems like they just rolling the seekers out one at a time.

Didn't know this, thought it all looked the same.

I noticed the decepticon logo is reversed from the box picture.

I wouldn't be worried if you guys here cannot get a pre order as I believe there will be heaps like sunstorm.

That pre order at us tru was limited to 5 per customer

Wow, so undetailed compared to the last Hasbro one. I think it was Hasbro, I bought it on clearance years ago at toyworld. Been sitting in plane mode on my bookcase forever. All of those lines are painted, has "scorch" marks, different wing tip details, a crown paintred on the sides, the little pilot figure, etc.

I am not a fan of the older hasbro version.

This is cleaner and nice for me just like the takara. Just wished it was white.

I think both the older and newer MP Seekers have their pros and cons. The older version is definitely better in jet mode, although the newer retool is better in robot mode. I'm personally not a fan of the more cartoonish head in the new version, but that's just my own subjectivity. :p The original MP3 Starscream was the weakest version of that mould -- literally, not just figuratively. Thankfully both Hasbro and Takara improved all subsequent versions, using superior quality plastic.

But all MP Seekers stem from that same MP3 mould and invariably suffer its fundamental 'flaw'; they're just not great action figures. They're more like transformable and poseable models rather than proper playable toys. :(

Another thing to bear in mind is price. As far as Takara(TOMY) are concerned, the old Seekers were cheaper. Remember when MP07 Thundercracker came out and people were complaining about how expensive that toy's RRP* was? I remember deliberating over whether or not I wanted to pay that much for Thundercracker, but ultimately decided to bite the bullet and get it. I wasn't thrilled with that price though. TakaraTOMY's MP Seeker prices have gotten silly expensive recently. :(

With the exception of Sunstorm ($145) and Ghost Starscream ($250), most MP Seekers have been sold here at reasonably good prices -- Starscream, Skywarp, Thundercracker and Acid Storm all sold at around the $100 mark AFAIK/IIRC. It'd be good if this Starscream were sold at this price, but who knows. TRU AU have demonstrated that they're more than happy to charge pumped up prices even for Hasbro MPs over imported Takara ones (e.g. MP Bluestreak at $130 ).

----------------------------------------------------
*10500JPY (≈$120). MP03 Starscream and MP06 Skywarp were 10290JPY (≈$115) each.

I say starscream is going to be the same as sunstorm price released here.
To me, their faces all look the same. Is just a repainted seeker.

Seeing PC sold them at $95, I don't think it's going to be very expensive.

I am almost tempted to offer people here to trade my takara starscream mp-11 with this hasbro one plus a top up of $60, as I don't mind this hasbro without the Cape .

Me too, I don't display mine with the cape so I would rather have the money in my pocket than a cape and crown in a box put away.

It's not. The blue nosecone is toy-accurate, but not show-like. If people want a more show-like grey nosecone, then they might like to consider getting Hasbro MP3 (http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/e/e4/Hasbro_Masterpiece_Starscream_toy.jpg) (or the "clean" Takara version (http://www.sirmiles.com/blog/images/IMG_5128.jpg) if they don't like Hasbro's scorch marks), or the original MP11 Starscream (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/new-masterpiece-gallery-mp11-starscream-new-destron-leader/24576/). Or they could just repaint the nosecone themselves (or possibly just strip the blue paint off).

Masterpiece Starscream has now been found at US Retail (http://news.tfw2005.com/2015/09/03/hasbro-masterpiece-starscream-found-at-us-retail-300813), so could show up here soon.
They were found for only US$60, which is cheaper than the last Masterpiece Autobot car... so either that is just an introductory price by TRU in America, or Hasbro (at BotCon) took on board my feedback about the price hikes in Masterpiece (and other exclusives) since MP Soundwave.

(the Hasbro rep seemed unaware that the prices of certain regular exclusives had dramatically increased in the last few years, and was blaming ToysRUs... despite it happening in all countries, and not just ToysRUs... but he seemed genuinely interested in the feedback because the toys were pricing themselves out of the market - he seemed to understand my reasoning that, if you could import the exact same Japanese version for less, than why buy the *Hasbro* version at your local store)

Well.....I was at Innaloo yesterday and they don't have it. I am not in any panic mode or anything as I have the Takara one. And I also believe they will be heaps coming in.

The price was reported to be $149.90 I think.

I would be very surprise if anyone cant get one as Sunstorm was piled up like over 10 boxes in TRU at one time. Seeing TRU US had limited customers to 5 and NOT 1, I think there is plenty to go around. Just need to be patient.

There are tabs on the wings you bend out that connect to some grooves on his back, stops them from flapping.

Watch from here, you will see him pop the tabs out, and he will explain and show that they plug in to his back.

Has it appeared in Perth yet, as it was first sighted in Sydney almost three weeks ago (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=21697).

ToysRUs keep asking why their collectable items aren't selling, but don't make sure that stock is in every store when it is sitting in the main warehouse.

Hi all, first post here, thought I'd be helpful

Just picked up a TRU Masterpiece Starscream from the Cannington store. They weren't on the shelf, but with a smile and a polite enquiry to one of the staff members at the counter, she managed to find one in the back for me. She said there appeared to be 2-3 more of them in the back.

And that was just posted.:)

Yeah I mean TT starscream is at US$220

You missed thundercracker if you didn't get one and they are at $330 au

And there is no guarantee of their paint work either as my mp-18b had bad scratches. So I don't think you can say one can be better than the other

Yeah dunno why TRU don't display them, their MP's tend to be displayed in the glass cabinet so maybe limited space??? Either way I guess it pays to actually ask a staff member if you don't see any. That's how I got mine.
