Caught this on the news tonight Best not to buy from Toy Palace Australia (website now shut down)http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/national/consumer-cops-shut-down-an-australian-website-accused-of-ripping-off-parents/story-fni6ulvf-1227434067132?from=public_rss
An Australian website accused of ripping off parents and shattering the birthday wishes of children across the country has been shut down.
The move came after official public warnings were issued last night in Victoria and NSW about toypalaceaustralia.com.au in response to about 100 complaints from irate customers who have made payment but not received their goods.
The slick-looking site claims to have 30,000 toys for sale, including Lego, Star Wars and Frozen merchandise. But in fact it is run out of a Kennards storage unit in Melbourne.
On the rare occasion a refund is provided, 20 per cent is first docked for administration and “restocking”.
