So, let me guess. To buy these figures I'll have to subscribe to the club for a year, which will get me Thrust. Then I'll have to buy the subscription service with over priced international shipping. I really want all of them plus Skywarp but it will cost a small fortune.

Subscription pre-orders start later today (11th August in America), until 1st September... which is about 3 weeks before the cut-off.
Not sure why they didn't announce the price, unless it is that bad that they want you to log into their website before you find it out.
I guess we'll find out later today when they open up pre-orders, but it should be about US$300-320, plus about US$80 postage... which could end up being about AU$570 for the 7 toys (6 Deluxe, 1 Voyager).
The group-shot image of the photo-shopped mock-ups was posted on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/151255348266785/photos/a.152760178116302.31570.151255348266785/947592398633072/?type=1), but I can't see it, so here is a mirror of the image (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-news-rumors/1048990-full-reveals-tfss-4-0-toys.html#post12834320).
The image confirms that there will be three new headsculpts - Bludgeon, Impactor, and the Combiner.
NOTE - these are "made to order", so you won't miss out no matter how last-minute you order. Order early if you want, but be aware that there is no rush with Subscription toys... and if you are a member who is getting a set, maybe see if anyone else in your area is interested (despite the high price this year, thanks to the exchange rate).

plus shipping, plus online processing fee, plus conversion rates/fees....
looking at my account there, it seems that paying in installments has worked out to be around about AU$200 per installment, probaby just under $600 for the lot (if the dollar stays the same atm) working out to be about ~$85 per figure all up including the "bonus" seventh figure. Which doesn't seem too bad for exclusive figures, definitely not retail cheap, but still cheaper than buying them aftermarket.

according to XE it picked up pretty quickly again? I'll just stick it out, I kinda prefer to pay upfront where possible, rather than hoping I remember that I need to put money aside for something I ordered up to a year ago.
That way, when something shows up in the mail it's a surprise. "Oh yeah, I ordered this ages ago"
(also gives me an excuse to the other half who keeps harassing me over my purchases, "No, this isn't a recent buy... It's just been on order for ages...")

Bludgeon
Decepticon Electric Warrior
“To test your limits, you must encounter a foe willing to test theirs.”
Although trained in multiple forms of Cybertronian martial arts in the combat pits of Direlsium, Bludgeon is known best as a master of Metallikato – the deadliest of all cyber-fighting techniques. It is also through the cultivation of this technique that Bludgeon has become a devote follower of an ancient cult believing most Cybertronians never achieve their true strength, a strength that remains locked deep within the Spark. Attempting painful and sometimes atrocious rituals on himself and the other followers in the cult, Bludgeon remained just as fruitless in his endeavor to free his strength as ever. That is until an encounter with the energies of an hoary, all-but-forgotten artifact charged Bludgeon's exoskeleton and imbued within him the power of combination. Now able to merge with the other members of the Decepticon Mayhem Attack Squad into a towering monstrous beast, the true strength of Bludgeon's spark is laid bare for all horrified Autobots to witness.
Voyager Class Bludgeon action figure comes battle-ready with two twin “high-voltage” cannons as well as two cyber-blade swords. Convert from robot to vehicle to take on individual Autobots or combine Bludgeon with the other members of the Mayhem Attack Squad to form a massive robot to destroy your entire Autobot army! This figure will feature TWO all new head sculpts, one for robot mode and one for combiner mode. Image depicts early mock-up. Final figure may vary.
Windsweeper
Decepticon Air Defense
“There are only two types of Cybertronians – True Decepticons
and smoldering wrecks.”
Windsweeper is a Decepticon to the darkest core of his Spark. As malicious and cruel as he is to any Autobot that he encounters, Windsweeper is even more vile when he finds a Decepticon with weakened resolve. Long-range infrared scanners sensitive enough to locate the smallest scrap of evidence allows Windsweeper to be an exceedingly effective tracker, although he prefers all-out aerial combat in which he can meticulously sweep the skies “clean” of all enemy combatants. When combined with the other members of the Mayhem Attack Squad, Windsweeper contributes this animus to the gestalt mind, which gives the resulting beast a thorough hatred of anything and anyone on the battlefield.
Deluxe Class Windsweeper action figure is equipped for extermination. Carrying a double-barreled “laser” cannon and a hand-held lock-target missile launcher, Windsweeper is a scourge to all Autobots. In just a few steps, Windsweeper can convert from robot to plane mode, and then turn into a limb for the mighty Mayhem Attack Squad combiner figure! Image depicts early mock-up. Final figure may vary.
Spinister
Decepticon Aerial Assault
“Respect the enemies' abilities, but let them fear yours.”
Spinister prefers to remain in the shroud of enigma, as this eerie air of mystery allows the Decepticon to spread fear and despair amongst all those he would face. Seeking silence and solitude, Spinister does not afford even his own Decepticon teammates a chance to know him. The only exceptions are his two Targetmaster partners – Singe and Hairsplitter – but they are just as tight-lipped as the Decepticon helicopter himself. Even when connected to the Mayhem Attack Squad's combiner mode, Spinister still shields his secrets from the probing consciousnesses of his cohorts. It is only Spinister's deadly effectiveness that allows the rest of his team to trust him, although there are certain members of the Decepticon hierarchy that do not share that trust.
Deluxe Class Spinister action figure comes with Neuro-Dissolver dart gun, “laser-guided” Heatblast Demonwinder missile launcher, and Targetmaster Singe and Hairsplitter accessories. Equip Spinister with the entire arsenal to attack the Autobots in robot and helicopter mode and then change into limb mode and combine with the rest of the Mayhem Attack Squad. Image depicts early mock-up. Final figure may vary.
Ruckus
Decepticon Combat Assault
“I may be beat up, but I can't be beat down.”
Looking as though he has just dragged himself from a demolition derby, Ruckus prefers to forgo repairs to the scrapes and dents in his armor plating as he believes the battle scars to be a show of his brutish brawn on the field of combat. Each one of the charred, mangled wounds is a story of glory and courage... and how Ruckus had been manipulated by his fellow Decepticons. With hubris thirsting for ever more triumph, Ruckus charges into a battle without asking why. He constantly puts his life into the hands of his superiors as he crashes into the fray blindly. When combined with the rest of his squad mates, Ruckus often forms the combiner's sword arm as he is the only one that Bludgeon trusts can be controlled flawlessly.
Deluxe Class Ruckus action figure comes with energo-axe and “mercury-tipped” heavy-duty missile launcher accessories. Smash into battle in robot or truck mode and then convert Ruckus into limb mode to complete your Mayhem Attack Squad combiner figure! Image depicts early mock-up. Final figure may vary.
Needlenose
Decepticon Aerial Warrior
“Get hip or get hit.”
Obsessed with fads and staying trendy, Needlenose is perhaps the “coolest” Decepticon to ever blast an Autobot. Desperate for others' approval and compelled by a need to fit in, Needlenose is often consumed by distraction. Only his fury towards the Autobots and the drive for revenge keep his focus on the fight at hand. His Targetmaster partners are just as conflicted as Needlenose himself with Sunbeam ever aloof and Zigzag as vindictive as the worst of the Decepticons. When in combiner mode, Needlenose is often seen as a leg since Bludgeon knows this limits Needlenose's sensory inputs and helps ensure that his wandering attention does not affect the combiner's lethal efficiency.
Deluxe Class Needlenose action figure carries Pyro-Melt Ionic Destructor rifle, Cryo-Coolant Concussion Cannon, and Targetmaster Sunbeam and Zigzag accessories. Load Needlenose with his weapons and in either mode, robot or plane, he is ready to fight with a vengeance! Needlenose can also change into limb mode and connect with the rest of the Mayhem Attack Squad figures to inflict maximum damage. Image depicts early mock-up. Final figure may vary.
Impactor
Autobot Heavy Destroyer
“When things look grim, I look grimmer.”
After their first encounter with the Mayhem Attack Squad's combiner mode, many of the Wreckers team were lost. Now seeking to avenge his fallen comrades, Impactor risks life and his remaining limbs to hunt down the Decepticons responsible and bring them to justice. It is his only focus – Cybertron, the war, even his orders, none of that matters. There are only the Mayhem Attack Squad and the ghosts of his friends screaming in his audio receptors. Impactor doesn't know how he alone can fight the massive monster that has caused so much mayhem, all he knows is that he must try. Or he will never find a moment's peace.
Deluxe Class Impactor action figure comes with a weapons pack of multiple hand attachments, side-mounted shoulder cannon, as well as a Messatine photon launcher accessory. This figure will also feature an entirely brand NEW head sculpt based on Impactor's appearance in Transformers fiction! Image depicts early mock-up. Final figure may vary.

I'm getting different shipping prices depending on if I choose two instalments .
Full payment total shipping for a single set is 276 Priority and 113 for first class, but instalment gives total of 92 Priority and 37.90.
I wonder if that means they bundle them to ship (meaning a delay)?

The smaller quote for the 3 instalment option is dividing the shipping by three just like it does for the Toys.

Looks like the usual FunPub "marketing" procedure of getting people to buy first and find out later what they are getting. (as people have already been signing up to the subscription set)
You'd think they'd have done all the reveals before starting the subscription period... considering they had the mockups done back in June for BotCon.

Posted over at TFW and might cause a bit of a stir by the FunPub critics... the background images of bombed out buildings on the first group-shot advertisement (in post #8 of this topic), is from the ongoing Syrian conflicts (https://indypendent.org/2013/08/29/syria-pace-quickens-%E2%80%94-towards-what).
I honestly didn't even see the background imagery in that first promo image (https://www.facebook.com/151255348266785/photos/a.152760178116302.31570.151255348266785/947592398633072/?type=1),* so I don't think they should have used anything at all.
And if they did have the background image be more obvious for some sort of destructive/mayhem theme, I guess no matter where they get "war" images from online, it might be seen as being tasteless to someone out there... so I don't have a big issue about this one (but it is likely to bring out the FunPub haters though, who look for any reason to jump on FunPub - I don't need to find reasons, as I have enough legitimate issues against FunPub already).
It's not like FunPub used photos that prominently showed dead bodies that could then be seen in their own promo image.
(* it's a bit like those "Nerd Test" joke images (http://dudelol.com/usrimg/nerd-test.gif) that have a sexy lady with something nerdy (http://static.fjcdn.com/large/pictures/2f/7a/2f7af8_2542509.jpg), with a caption inferring that nerds' eyes would be drawn to something techy first before noticing the boobs (http://rs1img.memecdn.com/nerd-test_o_2349501.jpg)... well, on this occasion I didn't notice the "boobs" :p )

griffin
18th August 2015, 03:10 PM
Hence the disclaimer of "actual product and colors may vary". :(
I don't understand... if this was the one toy that was designed to be Ruckus BY Hasbro before changing it to Offroad, then why not use Hasbro's colour scheme.
And if Hasbro didn't have a colour scheme planned out before changing their minds on that toy, then FunPub are trying too hard to match the Gen1 toy.
So far the entire front of the vehicle and the arms (sides of the vehicle) of the toy have different colours on different sides, so it will require a lot of paint, which costs a lot. They don't need the cream colouring inside the front of the car section, because having it behind the robot head is not a priority. It's there to homage the shoulder guns of the original toy, but since this toy doesn't have shoulder guns, it will look wrong having that colour sitting so far behind the head, where it can benefit from a dark colour to be ignored (like the Japanese Nightbird toy that has the car parts behind the head black, to keep the eye focused on the thin petite female robot in front).

I just had to google Ruckus to see what he was like after all these years as I thought the clubs toy looks awful. I can see what they are trying to accomplish, but I think they should have changed it a bit as the vehicle mode just looks like trash. The beige roof, but not the beige roof by the hinge, just looks a bit half done.
Mayhap they should have gone for the Universe/comics colouring instead? (http://www.seibertron.com/comics/universe/supplementary/?tf_id=ruckus) ANd I would have made a mock up of both, in case people whinged about them not being slaves to the toy colours.

Images of Spinister are now up on the Transformers Club website (http://transformersclub.com/TCC_FSS4.cfm).
Note the eyes, as there appeared to be enough demand for separate eyes painted on the visor of that head mould... leading to a call out on twitter (https://twitter.com/RID_NightViper/status/634417324968308736) by one of the Club people to see if the eyes should be painted on a black background or an aqua background to match the face-plate and Gen1 toy.
The image on the Club website has the aqua version, but I think the black version looks nicer... and if they aren't giving it blue eyes like the Gen1 toy, I don't see why they need the rest of the face painted like the Gen1 toy.

Since some people have been getting replacement parts for this year's toys (not sure if they had "insurance" though), the details on what their Insurance covers...
Insurance includes delivery confirmation and signature required if available.
** If you elect not to take the insurance offered we have no responsibility for replacing lost, damaged, non-delivered or misdelivered items.
Looks like the terms relate to postal insurance, so I think the "damaged" means from transit... so if you didn't elect to have insurance, you should still be covered for a faulty toy that wasn't obviously damaged during shipping.
For this year though, it is probably recommended getting insurance anyway, because if you lose one in the mail, it is likely to cost twice as much to buy a replacement later (based on BBTS prices, which will set the trend for minimum secondary prices like on ebay).

The colouring of the robot mode has changed a little from BotCon, as there is no pink/purple on the hands and shoulders now.
Looks good, I am looking forward to the reveal of the combined mode head. I bet it looks like Thunderwing

I'm really liking the 4.0! :D
At this stage Bludgeon will be the one G1 character I'll own most of the multiverse versions of but not the original itself

Impactor looks good in robot mode but I think they could have chosen a better alt-mode than Rooks. Guess they are determined to use the CW line though and this was what they thought was the closest. I reckon a retool of Brawl would have been better

Image of Impactor can be seen here from Allspark website (http://www.allspark.com/forums/uploads/monthly_08_2015/post-245-0-64643300-1440772243.jpg).
I don't think it has been explained why yet, but it comes with the four weapons from Generations Arcee (two swords, two guns).
FunPub are still forcing people to see their images through a certain website instead of putting it up on their own site, or just including the image with their announcement tweet.

To be fair, no one is forced to do anything they do not want to do. People can choose to not go there. I feel for those with weak bladders.

I think you are supposed to affix the gun/s to the top of the alt-mode, turning it into a quasi-tank rather than just an odd coloured SWAT vehicle

I know they aren't forcing anyone, but when there is a tight schedule with these images, or just from curiosity, or even people wanting to see the images while they are a topic of conversation, they are being told to go to one fansite instead of FunPub's own website or twitter. I just hope that they have taken a hit on their subscriptions this year because of this selective outlet decision... but I think they'd be too stubborn to do anything different.
For members of Seibertron, it's probably a great coup, but for those who aren't members, or have had past issues with that site, it is as if Hasbro had struck up an official exclusive deal with one fansite instead of using their own site for their news and press-releases.

I guess if they have a special display format for a toy that they can't replicate from colour photoshopping, I wonder why they don't think about doing up a hand-painted custom for things like this special vehicle mode.
After seeing two of their hand-painted figures at this year's botcon of two of their boxset toys, it's certainly possible.

You gotta hand it to 'em though, each year they keep pushing the envelope with the added features and changes.
If it includes the die-cast matrix from MP Rodimus, of maybe 1000-odd units, that's quite an achievement to secure from Hasbro. Plus having weapons from a different toy mould (Arcee & Go Prime) that isn't included in the set (all seven are noted as being Combiner Wars moulds)... similar to this year's subscription toys having Microns and Kreo, it can't imagine that it would have been something Hasbro would have been keen to do in such limited numbers without some considerable expense... especially if moulds are at different factories (China & Vietnam) for them to be transported to a single location for packing (if in bags like BotCon toys and on card like Club store exclusives) and THEN sent to America.

I think the combined mode chest wings should be mostly grey or at least more like Thunderwings black shoulder pads.

The cost of shipping one box of 2000 plastic guns would not be that high surely.
the matrix is a nice touch.

It's not just the shipping, it's the logistics of only producing 1-2 thousand at a factory that is geared for hundreds of thousands, and moulds that have multiple parts, not just the guns. So the added hassle of picking out parts from whole toys would add to the cost of the factory being able to do it... plus the cost of specially shipping that small amount of parts or toys from different factories to the one location for construction or packing.
A closer look at the Combiner head (https://twitter.com/The_TF_Club/status/638364477306609664), sculpted to look like Gen1 Thunderwing.

true it's a small run but I get the impression that weapons are commonly gated on moulds these days, unless they are entirely separate. the big expense would be the setup overhead for the mould and plastic for the short run. It's obviously something they can afford to do though.
I do like the combined mode head, it looks like that's a actual photo given the comments which is impressive, it looks very crisp.

About a day and a half left people - as the pre-order period ends at about midday our time on Thursday.
I placed my order today... and it is funny when recycling of webpages and order forms leads to specific details of an earlier version that were not updated.
Thanks for your participation to our second offering of a Transformers Figure Subscription Service! Don't forget to check the club store for other great items
Sorry... it's the fourth offering. :p

out of curistory, how much did it cost when converted to Australian
dollars?
I don't have the exact amount yet.
The NAB Visa card charged me at the actual rate (equalling AU$2099.10), but will charge a transaction fee of about 2-3% later (usually within a day and back-dated to the transaction's date).
I had estimated 2% when telling the other three people that it should be AU$530 (last night after the purchase, to reassure them that it was done), but looking at a recent transaction's fee today, it could be up to 3%.
If it does end up being that high, it would be AU$540 for each of us, which is still less than the estimated $547 I posted up in the group order topic (each person had paid above that amount, so it will go towards posting the toys to them - which I won't estimate until the first toy arrives, as postage rates could be different, or the weights of the boxes could be different to this year).
It has been big news today that the AU$ was just under 70 US cents today, but it wasn't due to a big drop today (it would have only cost me an extra $4.50 today). Today's rate resulted from a gradual slide in the last two days, so when I placed the order yesterday it was only 0.3 of a US cent difference to today's low.
A week ago the rate was 2 US cents difference, which would have been a AU$30 difference on my order, compared to today's rate.

(Tomorrow should see an image of Impactor and the combiner Thunder Mayhem)
And a promo for the 2016 Club magazine (https://www.facebook.com/151255348266785/photos/a.152760178116302.31570.151255348266785/1011904995535145/?type=3), which will have a comic story featuring the Mayhem Attack Squad, titled - Of Masters and Mayhem.
Still no clarification on what is happening with the Club for 2016, as to why the membership is ending December 2016, and what that means for people who's membership expires mid-2016 (do they pay the same as those paying from January and only get part of the year for the same cost, or do they have to pay in January like everyone else and lose the overlap of months they are already covered for?).

The current issue of the Club Magazine has apparently noted that the fourth Subscription set (Thunder Mayhem & Impactor) will start shipping in April (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-news-rumors/1060797-tfss-5-0-pretender-optimus-prime-paradron-medic-revealed-10.html#post13344172) (after BotCon which is in the first week), with each toy being send out 3 weeks apart... which could see the full set posted out by the first week of August.
I just got my club magazine and there's some info up front about TFSS 4.0. It says that toys will start shipping in April and will be sent out about every three weeks. Presuming this schedule holds (presuming also a late April since Botcon is 7-10), that would have the last 4.0 shipment in mid-to-late August (example, if they start shipping on April 22 and we have exactly three weeks between each, the last shipment would be sent out Aug 5). So, giving FunPub a week to get back from the convention and get back to their usual routine, these are the likely postage dates for the fourth set...
Toy 1 - Week starting Monday April 18th
Toy 2 - May 9th
Toy 3 - May 30th
Toy 4 - June 20th
Toy 5 - July 11th
Toy 6&7 - August 1st
