Looks fantastic, not sure about the roof panel that's black, I think it may switch around but otherwise it looks fantastic. someone in the thread in the link says it is mentioned that he's about 21cm high. cool.

Yep it says he is 21cm tall and sized well with the other Mp cars that is 16-18cm tall.

Same boat here, earlier pictures I was a bit meh, I like the look of a certain 3p (V....) but the price is a fair bit higher than I expect this to be, and these new pics have almost sold me. Damn my getting a new hobby and slashing into my tf budget.

Look at those hands, they're just like the seekers. Thats what i expect from a masterpiece. If not articulated fingers at the bare minimum the hands should be able to do open palm.

It just adds so much emotion in poses.

For some reason it annoys me that Ironhide gets a jetpack. You only saw it briefly in one early episode and has never been an accepted part of the character. Yet the Sideswipe figure got no jetpack though he flew in several episodes, its an accepted part of the character - we just didn't seem to get it as the only time you saw it visually was when he handed it over to Optimus to borrow.

oh, i agree. These one shot bits of fluff from the cartoon making it the norm as accessories like Prime's Axe, Starscream's Tit Rockets....

Give him a mini-Megatron if the toy really needs a collector nod to something from the 80s... at least that happened more often.

I'd be surprised and very impressed if it was interchangeable, especially if it was interchangeable with Sideswipe.


I really like the idea of Starscreams coming with a Megatron gun.

There certainly seems to be a demand for these one shot accessories though. Some additional ones have been included as exclusives (e.g. Amazon JP, Hasbro Asia) such as Wheeljack's "lunchbox," Lambor's chisel-type piledrivers etc., and there does seem a lot of people who deliberately seek these figures out for these bonus accessories. I ordered a lot of my MPs from Amazon just because it was a cheap option for me, the bonus accessories were only that - a bonus. I'm happy to have them, but I wouldn't be fussed if they weren't included either. Aren't there even third party add on kits for similar one-shot accessories? At any rate, I think that given the specialist collector-centric nature of MPs, it seems to be the appropriate line to include such obscure accessories. Granted they'd probably spend a lot of time sitting in storage for most collectors. :p

With the declining value of the AUD, I've decided to preorder Ironhide from PC, as at least the AUD price is set. Feels like too much of a lottery with the current exchange. :o (I'm just hoping that my Amazon pre-ordered MP Tracks & Road Rage won't get too expensive <knock.on.wood> :o).

It's a pretty faithful update of the G1 toy and cartoon character. Which was a pretty awesome feat to pull off actually. You get ole ironhide in all his gruff and tough persona from Saturday morning 1980s TV viewings. You also get that pretty weird but still awesomely cool toy with all its nifty little features and accessories and wot not.

It takes me back to my 8th birthday when I woke up to getting this figure and taking him to primary school that same day for battles in the sandpit at recess.....

Images of a grey-scale prototype have surfaced, revealing another nod to the original toy (like the weapons base that looks like the toy's weapons unit)... a face in the windshield in vehicle mode (http://news.tfw2005.com/2015/09/15/masterpiece-ironhide-prototype-images-g1-easter-egg-revealed-301373), which might not be too visible if the toy has a smoky windshield like the official images that were recently released.

I think they'll have the van on it's side in the box instead of right side up like the cars have been.

Thats gonna be sure so I was hoping for they will only change depth (D) size. Well that is a little bit selfish speculation so I can stack Ironhide (and Ratchet soon) with other MP Cars' boxes :D
