Did anyone else who has only recently been watching the entire RID cartoon immediately think of that Clampdown (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Clampdown_%28RID%29) when seeing the topic title
on the table, instead of this obscure pre-Transformers version of the Sideswipe mould.
The words "Masterpiece" and (RID) "Clampdown" caused me great confusion... until I looked at the posting. :o

Nah... TakaraTomy are being pretty good now at sticking to toy/cartoon accuracy, so I doubt we will get Breakdown from them, as the robot mode wouldn't match.

But there is still Deep Cover left to do...

That was the point of this photo I did up when the Gen2 version of Sideswipe was released... it was the fourth use of the mould, which had
me expecting the remaining two toys eventually being done as well.
And sure enough, Clampdown comes along.

As thundercracker is a normal G1 it can be released via hasbro.
This character however may be a one off release. So it may be limited by numbers

So since I don't have the cash to buy Clampdown from PC right now I've put in an order at BBTS and if PC still has stock when I get paid next week I'll cancel the BBTS preorder and get it from PC. My only problem with PC is having to pay upfront, if they work out a way to take preorders without requiring payment I'd be willing to buy from them more often. It's just a little hard to save for an item when it's announced one day and sold out the next.

I won't be getting any more variants unless is really some big difference and I like it, otherwise is g1 only for me.

Not saying this is bad buy though is probably more interesting than red bee for me.

As Griffin stated. I do not know how other people think etc....is their funds.
As long as you are happy with where your money goes and how you use it. I say that's good enough.

The item is still a limited edition despite Japan only has 2k units Asia has probably more.

I love the mp-18B and likewise some people may love this more.

Their QC has dropped considerably and no doubt if they are punching out thundercracker this ,road rage and ironhide, I expect some more flaws unfortunately.

my Defensor Devastator Road Rage and Red Bee is on its way but yeah i thought Clampdown will be in the package. i already emailed PC but still no reply. no news of delay though on their fb page

Thanks for letting me know. PC replied to me tonight and apparently they are all double taped because they came from HK Hasbro Asia. Yeh it's not the biggest deal and at least PC responded quickly.

Really there is no way for me to get these exclusives direct from Japan unless I set up a Tenso account.

My Clampdown arrived from PC today. It was double taped but that's okay for me as I open (almost) all my MPs. Paint apps were perfectly placed (looks fantastic!) and the coin is great too.

Mine arrived from a HK source and it was double-taped (along with the JP Defensor)... so these would be done at the source to all of them (to add or replace something), and not anything sinister from any of the online stores.
