If you are looking for something in particular, then it is best to use the search bar... and try a few combinations/words if it doesn't show up.

It's from the QTF shorts on youtube (They're only up for a few weeks because they sell the season in a DVD). I'm pretty sure it's the first episode, but Lockdown, Bee and Optimus are talking about making transformers appeal to more people and one of them suggests plush toy transformers. These look a bit like the plushes in the cartoon.

I wish there were more plush transformers, they're awesome. :p

And these should be the new Decoys (http://www.hlj.com/product/TTA83238/Fun), but there are 15 in the box for a set of 8, which means one will end up being a chase. Price ends up being about AU$1 per rubber decoy.... much better than the AU$5 price tag of the RID Tiny Titans (which are about the same size).

No... so it could just be a random 7 to make up the 15 (I don't know why they keep doing that... it really bugs me with the Kabayas, because I'd be more willing to buy cases if it gave complete (extra) sets to sell off (which is easier to do if they are complete sets).

I'm not 100% sure if that is the decoys though, but I pre-ordered it just in case, and will wait until they reveal a photo or it is confirmed somewhere... and cancel it if it isn't the decoys.

It's been delayed twice, and now it is being listed as discontinued, and my pre-order wasn't fulfilled.

It's very confusing of HLJ to list the item's current status from the publicly listed page, on your actual orders page. Considering they are known to not meet all their preorders occasionally, seeing something listed as discontinued isn't reassuring.

The Kabaya Block Wars (combiner) model kits are already on Order Stop, just a few weeks after being listed. Considering how rare the original toys were, I guess a lot of people were getting these to fill that spot of the collection.

And for some odd reason, Legends Skids is still Order Stop after selling out really early. Not many of the Legends toys sold out that fast (I think Arcee was the only one), so I wonder why Skids is so popular, or did TakaraTomy just produce a lot less of it because it isn't a significant character and wasn't significantly recoloured either.

I remember (years back) I ordered something that was listed as "Backorder" from them and eventually got an email saying they weren't able to source it for me.

It's different if it it was "In Stock" when you ordered it and later the item listing changed. Having it go from Backordered to Order Stop to Discontinued is not very promising.

I don't have it, but it is something I would buy if I found it in person on a trip and cheap. The face just keeps putting me off really wanting it.
I'm surprised it is still in stock at HLJ, as it was apparently released way back in 2007.

There were two Animated ones (http://toys.tfw2005.com/transformers/other-lines/kre-o-built-to-rule/transformers-kre-o/other-transformers-building-sets/) released as well, in 2010, of Bumblebee & Optimus.
Those ones I am more interested in, but they are really rare. (when I try to find them)

HLJ is a Japanese website, and ONLY sells Tamkara versions.... With a few us imports as exceptions every now and then

A Toy Story combiner with Woody, Bullseye, Rex, Slinky and Hamm. Looks like a rather interesting transformation as can see Bullseye forming up a fair bit of the upper body, side guns as well as the right arm.

Having 7 figures and only selling boxes of 6 doesn't make any sense. Maybe they are packing two of the smaller Big Powered figures together, as they've never had a master carton that is smaller than the number of model kits in the set... and the last three waves (and the next one) have given us master cartons that have complete multiples of the number of models in that set.

I can't imagine that they'd be going backwards to the bad old days of master cartons that five incomplete sets for people to be stuck with.
I guess we'll see in November.

They are still 4-5 months away from release, so it would only be a concern if it was 2 months before release (like they do with the Adventure/RID toys).
I think it was only a month ago that they put up the November Legends toys, so it could be soon for the December ones, and possibly another month for January's items.

To sell out that early, means they didn't have many units to begin with, and then not being able or willing to increase their order with TakaraTomy during that time, is very unusual, because they are obviously very popular, and HLJ would be missing out on a lot of money from people who have since pre-ordered elsewhere during those four weeks.

Not as bombproof as BBTS with wrapping all around, but they do use those plastic bubble pillow buffer things.
Depending on your items, sometimes they wrap the items on a large piece of cardboard with plastic wrap, and then place that in the shipping carton and pad out the sides. The boxes they use aren't cheap and flimsy either, so you shouldn't have any dramas.

So that led me to use Nippon-Yasan. They do a fantastic job packing, always use bubblewrap and other material. There has been the odd collector complaint that they jack up the shipping cost when an item becomes in stock. My only gripe was they charged more for Tracks on preorder than when it became in stock. But other than that, as a mostly MISB collector I've been very happy with them.

Best thing to do is give them a try on a small order and see for yourself. Yes they both combine pre orders and split them. This is where the cost can get closer to PC's pricing.

For example, I just pre-ordered Artfire today. Then I combined my existing pre-order for Frenzy/Buzzsaw, which only added 495 Yen (~$6) to the shipping cost. The cost of shipping the cassette's on their own was going to be almost 2,000 Yen, so it was well worthwhile combining. Best to combine for preorders due within a month or two of each other.

They have Paypal payment available among other options. Can also pay at anytime until just before it comes in stock. I sometimes pay it early if I want to lock in an exchange rate. Just never pay in A$, their conversion rate is terrible.

Yep they are the best in the biz IMO. I use them from time to time for figures that I'm catching up on. But unfortunately with where the US$ is it's quite expensive, particularly compared to ordering straight from the Japanese sellers.

I've only had two orders from them, but the boxes were mint, better than anything I've bought from stores (dents etc) and they empty space was filled with those packing air bags. Like car air bags but smaller, so transformer sized for their little heads while they are in transport in the back of astro train or Jetfire.

Just got another thing from them today.

The cardboard boxes they use are really sturdy, it's thick and durable (errr...) like the ones they use for some medical supplies that I regularly unpack at a local hospital. I've worked in a few factories and handled a lot of boxes, you get the thin stuff that collapses real easy, and this wavy more rigid type you can drop on the floor and kick across the room and 9/10 times the contents will be fine. They use to use that stronger type for 20 KG boxes (solid block that gets cut up by sellers) of cream cheese at my old work, it can take a lot of beating, and is more resistant to moisture thanks to the thicker cardboard.

You can see in the images they put a slip sheet of clear plastic over the toy box, and a cardboard backer in there to keep it sturdy.

In larger packages they put in air bags, peanuts whatever so that packages are not slopping around in empty space (1 of 2 common causes of damaged shit in the mail, the other being boxes dropped / thrown and kicked by handlers, no I am NOT JOKING AT ALL) :eek:

I hit pre-order the second time as it blew out on initial pre-order during my lunch break, usually 50/50 chance they get it.

That said surely by now they'd email you and tell you if they'll get it or not, they emailed me about my storm collectables scorpion figure...was a sad day, 3 days after it was released I believe it was discontinued, then got hlj'd cancellation email :c

This sucks, as a collector I rather be told is not available then hanging on a hope while missing out when another stores sells it.

I can't quite remember if I got it in right away or it may have been later that night the day they went up

Either way I have not recieved any messages from them about it at all.

But what's great is they give same day replies and I can cancel the order anytime. So no skin off my nose.

Cancelled my order today with them as i found it at amazon.jp - it's advertised at 10748yen but when you go through check out - the price dropped to 9952yen (assuming it was tax deducted for oversea customers??)

All in all i paid AUD136 for it shipped to me so that's a good deal. You should consider it!

They will also for US and Australian customers be opening the box, popping a (removable) orange plug in so as the toy complies with Australian laws and should be happily let through customs!

In the email they caution you to not remove it, indicating that it is indeed able to be taken off otherwise no warning would be needed.

The problem isn't local state police, but rather federal customs which seized all of the last MP Megatron, which WAS shipped in robot mode and even when transformed would be comically oversized in gun mode. Local police were awesome, and helped me fill out a license application. They thought customs were overreacting too.

Mine was seized and even with a non-firing replica weapons license, customs only released mine on the day on which they were required to present it before a magistrate. If you can buy it from a local dealer that has gotten/finessed it through customs, you bypass all he hassle.

Their allocation of Transformers from TakaraTomy seems to be really small now, and if TakaraTomy aren't allowing for increases in orders anymore, HLJ should have a better idea by now how much Transformers stock they need, as they know how quickly their Transformers items have been selling out in the last year.

I never used to miss out on anything on HLJ, but this year I've now missed two items that were sold out in just hours, and will have to source them from somewhere else.

Im my experience HLJ used to send stuff to Australia on Specific days. always seemed to ship on Thursday for me, so sometimes If I pressed the send now on Friday it would wait till next Thursday.

I haven't ordered enough lately to see if it is the same. but back in the day it seemed that way. but then I used to order like in bulk so *shrugs*

I know that a truck arrives every afternoon to HLJ to collect packages though.
