Masterpiece Tracks in-hand photos

Photos have surfaced of the Masterpiece Tracks toy (http://news.tfw2005.com/2015/09/23/masterpiece-tracks-in-hand-images-301766), fully boxed and ready to sell... just two days before its old release date. (which makes it strange that it has been delayed to November 14th if it is ready to go now - maybe it was only delayed for Japan, and the HK version is still being released this week)


The toy looks so beautiful with that metallic blue... I can't wait for mine to get to me.

Think you may find it's not a wheel but the swivel part the wings are attached to. At least it looks that way I think

It feels like the QC had a "can do" attitude and just chuck it in when the toy is not in ready state.

Well, for a Masterpiece line, I expect less of such errors.
It is slightly disappointing.

I have a Wheeljack with a slight dent on the tail light and now scratched paint job.

I hope Tracks is not like this.

Which I tried to exchange, but the toy was completely sold out everywhere. Legally I could've also demanded a refund, but uh, I'd rather keep a two same-handed Scavenger than not have one at all. :p Fortunately I've since managed to acquire a spare correct hand.

In the case of CW Ultra Magnus, I bought this toy from another member who'd purchased it from Robot Kingdom. The toy was missing a wheel, and the person who made the original purchase contacted RK and informed them of the defect. RK then sent a spare wheel and all was good. :) I'm assuming that RK must've sourced the spare wheel from Hasbro. Online sellers who supply TakaraTOMY Transformers should be able to do the same, however, complications may arise if they are not based in Japan. The toys that I've sourced replacement parts for were from Japanese based sources (e.g. Amazon Japan etc.), so I don't know if they would still honour the warranty if it were purchased outside of Japan. Although Hong Kong based stores may be sourcing their toys from Hasbro Asia (hence the inclusion of Asian exclusive stuff like the MP coins), and so they might still be able to source replacement parts from Hasbro Asia (which is based in Hong Kong). I don't know for sure as I've never tried it, just speculating. :o

Well in the older days some shopping centres seal wrap the product and that to me is the real misb. Taping it is just a cheaper way , I can imagine my frustration now if I open mine and still find bad paint flaws since this is the excuse for the additional tape

Looks like NY never updated their shipping quote when they listed MP tracks. Takara Tomy Mall has listed a bigger box size (United Warriors box size) as a mistake that when I confirmed that to them they updated the listing that it is the same as MP cars box size.

Little nitpick but with mine, the side mirrors won't stay on when in robot mode. They stick out too far and puts too much pressure on each other. So i leave mine off. Not like you can see them in bot mode anyway :p

Well no fault with the paint apps this time for me just cant get the bonnet flat closed, slightly sticking up, as well as stress mark on the one of the little exhaust pipe...anyway it is the bot mode that count and i cannot fault except some joints or tabs are too damn tight whew!

To be real frank, I don't mind if they are a bit late and they were very well priced.

Been using amiami for almost 5 years for MPs and action figures, and they've been fantastic. With the their standard air parcel shipping, it only took 4 days for Tracks to arrive:eek: (shipped last Friday and much to my surprise, got here today!) which is a new record

Back to Tracks. He's kinda underwhelming. Not solid like all the Hasui cars in bot. I'm not a fan of those lines on his face, and all in all he doesn't scream cartoon Tracks to me like the previous MPs did. Some things are real subtle but he just doesn't quite capture that G1 essence. I hope Kobayashi got into his role better with Shockwave and Hot Rod.

Apparently you need to push them in further so it's flush with the bodywork. I haven't tried it yet but Hursty told me that. Just be very careful and try pushing on the base of the mirror rather than the mirror itself, as could break it

I have tried that but it doesn't seem to go in far enough. Make sure you open the door and support it from the back.

It's a stiff plug in I'm told. Much like, at least for me, the plug that holds the front end together. I'll be giving it a go when I get home too.

Got my Tracks yesterday... Managed to Transform him without looking at the instructions... :p

I was playing Transformers with the kids (my Daughter was using her My little Pony) the kids loved Tracks and wanted to watch some G1 episodes that Tracks was in. They loved how he was a flying car and asked me to transform Tracks into his flying car mode and they each took turns flying him around the lounge room.

It was a really fun night and my kids got to stay up past their bed time watching Transformers. :p

That's why you should get the local TRU exclusive releases and their English language instructions! Their prices are just so reasonable too!

I had a cool standing pose. But now I have him using the stand he comes with. Now he looks even cooler. I will find a way to post some pictures later

I have tried that but it doesn't seem to go in far enough. Make sure you open the door and support it from the back.

Will have a bit more of a fiddle with it.

Yep, turns out it "plugs in" when you push it further in to sit flush with the bodywork of the car

Well I had a fiddle with mine, and all in all so far I think he's pretty good. Empty spaces in the hood and backpack area, but what else could they do really? His shoulder could be an issue I guess, but the ones on mine wore way better than Sideswipes.


I got Tracks today. I feel like he is by far the most complicated new MP mould in a while, I'm sure some people will like that, but I'm a little over complex transformations. Otherwise I really like him.

I know you just mean in comparison to some recent MP's he's complex, but I actually think he's just the right level of complexity. I've found most new TF releases to be getting too simple to the point I've lost interest in most lines. MP's like Tracks and Ultramagnus are just right for me, intuitive and inventive enough to hold my attention.

Mine rocked up the other day. Not bad delivery time from HK to Mackay I guess, considering they were advertising delays etc. Can't really say that I was overwhelmed with Tracks. Personally I feel that his bot mode is better than the alt mode. On mine the hood panels wont line up correctly, and there's a gap on one side on the front windscreen and the hood. I love the characters Tracks, and "Make Tracks" was one of my favourite episodes... guess that set me up for disappointment with the alt mode. Don't mind the Robot mode though... my 2 cents worth... :cool:

He definitely has his issues like clearance around the shoulders and wings. Although its not too bad if you adjust the backpack.

I still rate him highly because his proportions are just beautiful, best out of all the autobots. Articulation is what i expect from a masterpiece and the transformation has some great engineering.

I haven't got it yet, so there was no point for me to say something. From the pictures, I only questioned the pin at the window in alt mode, didn't look good in some ways.
