Generations Wave 4 Deluxe out in Australia

A sighting was reported from a Toyworld in the ACT for the Deluxe Prowl, Sunstreaker, Mirage and Ironhide.


Toyworld now has CW Prowl, Ironhide, Mirage and Sunstreaker. At least one full set still on the shelf.

No photos yet, so if you see them in-store, post up a photo.

That just leaves the Battle Core Optimus from wave 4 of the smaller size-classes, and a big catchup on the Leader Class (wave 2 Thundercracker, wave 3 Ultra Magnus, wave 4 Starscream).

It's weird that the leaders haven't appeared. Then again, has anywhere except Target and TRU actually carried the leaders? It might be that retailers are wary of the odd position leaders occupy between the smaller affordable and large Christmas-present sized toys, especially since the AOE leaders seemed to shelf-warm a bit.

Kmart and Myer may or may not stock them. I haven't payed any attention since the only Leader class figures are the Megatrons.

AFAIK wave 2 and wave 4 Motormaster are exactly the same deco, just fixed hips and a new stamp according to tfwiki.


However, Wave 4 included a version of the figure that incorporated improved ratcheting joints, with the gears having their cogs shifted half a position, making the combined mode much more stable. The improved Wave 4 Motormasters have an embossed date code on the rear of the box starting with a 5, indicating a 2015 year of manufacture. A similar code can be found on the toy's left foot. These toys shipped with Battle Core Optimus Prime, which also included this update which was first found on the Unite Warriors version of Motormaster/Menasor.

If that was the case somebody on TFwiki would have mentioned it. Also we have seen pictures of wave 4 Motormaster on the US fan sites with his fixed hips and the deco hadn't changed.

Ryan the owner of Seibertron gets in multiple cases of every wave of product, cherry picks the best samples for his galleries and sells the rest on ebay. He already has had wave 4 Motormaster in hand and has done galleries of all of wave 4 but hasn't mentioned any changes and if anyone would notice he would. Plus take a look at his wave 2 Motormaster gallery, Motormaster is lighter than he is in the stock images http://www.seibertron.com/transformers-toys/gallery/generations-combiner-wars/motormaster/3567/1/ Note the pictures of G1 Motormaster against CW Motormaster.

It may be possible that there was a colour change, but they would need to be side-by-side, as individual images can vary with their shading and contrast.
And I haven't heard anyone in America or Asia yet, say that the colour on the wave 4 Motormaster was different to the Wave 2 Motormaster.
The ratchet joints are a running change, but the colour being different is yet to be verified.

I just ordered blackjack and the twin pack of the wave 4 BC optimus / motormaster from bbts.

Will let you guys know about the colour, also anyone interested in the BC optimus? I'm thinking it will most likely be surplus as it doesn't really fit against the leader megatron to me.

I know ei... I got my order delivered and it took only a week this time.... it's nice but then It should be that "express" considering it's US$100 postage charged for 1 box. Unlike before that I pay at most $70 and that's for 2 -3 boxes within the same delivery.

Hmmm thinking now if I should get this new Motormaster. I gotta read more of this improved ratcheting.

I saw them for the first time at Myer at Parramatta today. I'm not too keen on them since they aren't on my must have list, besides I already have Prowl, Ironhide and Sunstreaker as CHUG figures. Now if they will make Sideswipe, Windcharger and Jazz CW figures, then I'll buy them (along with mirage)
