Saw that The Little Toy Company on eBay has both Battle Core OP and Menasor on their storefront.

Confirmed with them that Menasor is of the 5xxxx production code, so they have the revised hips.

Previously ordered Wave 4 CW (Optimus Maximus limbs) from them (among a fair amount of other stuff) and am happy to recommend them - quick responses to specific questions (such as the product code).

Ships from Melbourne and I believe has local pickup as an option.

For people that want to take advantage of the BigW sale:

Cash Rewards currently has an offer to buy (legit) bigw gift cards from the wollies website for 92 cts on the dollar. (http://www.cashrewards.com.au/big-w-store-egift-cards)

So if you're planning to buy victorion and fort max, you could save an additional $32 on top of the price sale.

You need to register but you can just delete the account once you receive your gift card.

Just used one to save an extra $8 off victorion, it's a bit finicky to use but just tell the cashier you want to use an e-gift card.

Totally took advantage of this. Bought a $200 egift card for $184. Took about 3 hours once paid to get the email. Used staff discount to chop 12.45 off the 249 bringing him to 236.55. That took Fort Max down to 36.55 left against my savings. Total spent=220.55.

The original saving of $16 from the online sale makes it slightly more expensive that Mightyape's current sale on him (249-16=233 compared to 229 inc postage); you just have to wait til next week for them to ship.

If you purchase a 250 egift card for 230 (8% off = saving $20), then you're paying 229 for Fort Max which is the matching of Mightyape.

My staff discount regardless would've made him 236.55. Had I bought a 250 egift card instead, I would've been left with 13.45 on the egift card. Buuut that meant that I would have to spend $46 (230-184) more which I don't really have this week. But I'd be saving (36.55-(46-13.45))=$4 in the whole.

Without discount;
If you had a 200 egift card (184), then you're also paying 49 extra, saving that initial 16 from the deal. Total spent=233.
If you had a 250 gift card (230), you've got $1 left on the card, and you've saved 30. Total spent=230. Plus your $1 left. 229 really.
Which is your $4 (4/50 = 8%) difference in how you choose to buy your egift cards.

But seriously. Take advantage of that egift card thing.

If this advertising? Or just convoluted maths?

AND:
MyerOne has a 10% off. If you can get them to price match, you can take that 249 down to 224.1 (if the 10% can be done with the sale?)

Too much maths for my head to even consider working it out. Well done on finding a cheaper price this early after release.

Wasn't sure where to post this, but Amazon seems to have some cheap(ish?) Studio Series TFs:

Transformers Studio Series 03 Deluxe Class Movie 3 Crowbar
$22.85

I would suggest getting onto Amazon help and asking them about making this available to AU store:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076QWG87D

The rationale I used is that they are already offering their Optimus Prime variant in the Global Store (https://www.amazon.com.au/Transformers-Optimus-figurine-Primes-Evolution/dp/B0721JXX6V/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1535932712&sr=8-1&keywords=evolution+optimus+prime)

... as well as the other PotP Leaders in the same series. Hopefully the more people inquire about it the quicker they make it available.

(Ironically I posted the initial post about it being available on Amazon AU, when there were 4 available. I didn't nab one and by the time I got around to it they were all sold out!)

In Jetfire's case, I wanted to make absolutely sure I got one and the best way to do that is to lock in a preorder with a company who will guarantee I will get the toy with minimal complications.

The Big W and Kmart near me have none of these larger toys yet, but that may just because the shipping is delayed for unknown reasons.

Good back up but still cheaper on Amazon with a Prime trial/membership. $44 for Megs and $47 for Optimus last I looked. $49 gets free shipping with Prime but one is from Australia and the other international so they don’t add together for free shipping but getting something cheap like some biscuits or something will tip it over. Bots and biccies, win!

That's a good spot.

Amazon Australia has as their own domestic stock, the Studio Series Bumblebee with Charlie figurine (https://www.amazon.com.au/Transformers-Rebekahs-Bumblebee-Charlie-Exclusive/dp/B07J1PGR46/) for just $41 (down from $52)... much cheaper than the Toyworld price of $70.
They also have the 5th wave of Tiny Changers (https://www.amazon.com.au/Transformers-Bumblebee-Tiny-Turbo-Changers/dp/B072MP9LK4/) at a great price of just $4 each - I bought some of these expecting the 4th wave (as those are the photos they have used on the listing), but ended up with wave 5 instead. The original listing on Amazon America (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072MP9LK4/) is for the 4th wave (for US$5 each, which is a lot more expensive) gives a redirection link to that $4 Australian listing that gives you wave 5, so if you want the two waves that haven't been found in a live store here yet, you can buy up a fair few from both sites and see if you get lucky. (I've bought 35 of wave 4 so far, and am still missing Megatron)

For a limited time, if you apply the discount code POPPER10 before checkout, it will bring it down by 10%, which in my case meant it cancelled out the shipping fee and gave me a tiny discount after that.

It was said to be in stock at Amazon Australia in September, but I was hoping it would be much earlier in the month, not in the final days. I was almost about to buy one off Amazon America.

Aaaand it says it's now out of stock (the Australian stock held by Amazon Australia)... but that might have just been the first batch, as it shouldn't have sold out so fast. (and it notes that more are on the way)
I'll wait until they get the next batch in before posting it as news.

If when you had originally placed your order and it said that you were buying imported stock at the time of payment, it will stay as American stock, it won't be fulfilled with Australian stock (even if the Amazon Australia gets their stock before Amazon America).
The price of the American stock was pretty good if they had it available through an .com.au address (because it included tax and shipping)... but ordering it through the .com address would have been more (tax and shipping were extra).
Mine ended up costing AU$252, but have to wait for it to come from America though.

This appeared briefly on the Mighty Ape site (which would have been Australian stock sent to New Zealand), but if anyone has actually ordered this and got the Cheetor toy (in other words, it isn't a mistaken listing), then that means we got another of the various 2019 exclusives here in Australia... not that it was one many serious collectors would have been after, but it is so far the only official toy of a major season 2 cartoon character.

My guess is that they are getting these through a wholesaler like Entertainment Earth, as they aren't from Hasbro Australia, and they are too "cheap" to be from a partner retailer from overseas. Particularly since they only seem to have the online exclusives that weren't exclusive to specific retailer like US Target or Walmart.
(in case anyone was hoping that it could mean seeing these final Siege toys and exclusives here)

Maruten
21st January 2020, 09:10 AM
Yeah, while I don't want to derail this into a LTC-bashing thread, them taking pre-orders really doesn't actually let you know what's coming, so you wouldn't actually be gaining any meaningful information.

If they've moved to just listing stuff when it arrives, well - that's great. Maybe they've sorted themselves out.

Cashie

I bought a Skytread from them a few months ago when they were hard to come by.
Sent right away and it arrived in a couple of days.

Pre-ordering Hasbro/Takara from small Australian online outlets is going generally going to mean delays because they get screwed over by overseas distributors.

griffin
21st January 2020, 11:12 PM
Pre-orders by Australian online stores are definitely problematic, particularly if there is insufficient communication from the online store to its customers, and an easily fickle fandom (thanks to the prolonged car-crash that was premium collectables). But it is also a big risk for online stores to order in items at a guess (without reservations through pre-orders), as they might end up being stuck with stock that they have to discount, or can't sell at all.

reillyd

No they're still taking preorders for many products, including Marvel and DC. Just at the moment they've paused on Transformers.

Amazon.com.au has Omega Supreme on a limited time deal of $180 at the moment (approx 25% off). If you were on the fence but don't want to pay Toyworld/ToyMate's prices, might be a good time to grab.. They also have many of the online exclusives (e.g. Cromar) at cheaper than TLC too: 24aud vs 35

Yeah... Popcultcha is usually at RRP and that's full RRP for that figure. I think he was 50% off on Amazon Japan at one time but I missed out on it - typically a few months after release they try to clear stock that way. Otherwise really not worth buying due to QC issues, TT have admitted to using different materials for him and haven't officially stated any plans to fix it.

Sometimes it is because the retailers here can only take on a certain amount of exclusive items each year.
Sometimes it is because there is no stock left in a production run for smaller markets (countries) like ours to have.

I have wanted a Rotorstorm for years between LSOTW and the colourscheme of late G1 figures, but I wouldve strongly considered passing without the new head. Maybe for $40 I wouldve lived with it, that thought was thinking Id have to pay ridiculous import prices and a new head was the difference between yes I will do that and I will have to consider if its worth 40.

As it is Ive just ordered them, will have to quickly decide if I can afford the other two but for all the exclusives Im missing out on Im glad to get this must have

Robotoyz had sold out, but now has the preorders for the 2 pack of Earthrise Ramjet and Dirge and the autobot alliance 2 pack (Ironhide and Prowl) back up. They are $169.95 and $119.95 respectively, a little pricey for local, but still lower than from an ebay scalper.

Mighty Ape has Cyberverse Arcee (build-a-figure Maccadam) up for $35.

Also loving Snapdragon :)

Must have sold because it?s no longer showing. But hopeful news, as it means it will be shipping to other retailers

Amazon AU had Earthrise Snapdragon in stock this morning. It was on sale for $42.50 I think. They had four in stock at the time I got one and they were all gone by midday.

Sorry I didn't get on here to mention it earlier but still worth mentioning as they will probably re-stock soon...

Mightyape just put up pre-orders for Generation Selects Hubcap and Greasepit. Wonder if they'll put up pre-orders for the other figures because I'll bite if they do. Also does anyone know if the Earthrise 2-packs will come to Amazon AU like with the other exclusives? I put off pre-ordering from Robotoyz because their delivery service has always been trouble for me and it seems too pricey.

Not sure as to why but the price fluctuated while these were up.
I checked out at $39.36.

Amazon prices tend to be affected by stock levels especially when there's only a few left in the system.

The Seeker Villains 2pk is very unlikely as I believe it is a US Target Exclusive. You may be able to pick up from a HK or Singapore reseller though or Ebay if your desperate...

Yep, I ended up caving to Ebay for both Seeker sets - they're too important to me to miss out on. I managed to get lucky with Skywarp/Thundercracker and got it through a seller that didn't quite understand what they were sitting on. But Dirge and Ramjet were close to double RRP.

And honestly, I got screwed worse on the Seacons through local retailers so whatever. Value is relative, and having all 6 seekers (eventually) in Voyager scale is worth a lot to me.

Oh no, I bought the target exclusive Seeker villans on Anime Export. I'm just wondering about the Coneheads and Ironhide/Prowl 2-packs being available on Amazon AU as previous 2-packs came.

Naturally, EB Games as well. That's certainly unexpected.

It's strange that they have listed wave 1 Deluxe, but wave 2 Voyager and Leader.
Their prices are typical of EB Games... so nothing special, but also not a huge markup.
It is tempting to jump on Snapdragon, and at least it is definitely in the country, so should be showing up at retailers that stock Voyagers as well.

That's certainly unexpected.

It's a surprise, but not the first time this has happened, as they had a one-off shipment of Titans Return figures show up at stores a few years ago, and then nothing.
