The nosecone in between his crotch is unfortunate, but aside from that I think he looks even better than the original official shots. Notice that most of the poses are from a side profile? That might be the best way to pose him.

I'm looking forward to this a lot. G1 Ramjet was what my mum got me when she couldn't find Starscream back in the day and became a favourite.

That said, i can tell already those mega kneeguards are going to bug me lol. I'll forgive them if they made the body lock into the groin better when they were remoulding bits and pieces :D

You're right, it probably is just the angle as the outside part of the left leg could very well be obscuring the hinge folding the wing back and just by sheer luck it looks like it's attached to the waist.

wow that looks great! another one to envy :( i actually have my G1 ramjet complete in the garage at the moment, he's pretty yellow etc now. so far the only one of my childhood transformers i've been able to locate! i really would like this one but seems pretty unlikely now.

I was slow too until yesterday. Also, I believe only the front/face side of the cone is painted black which will look weird but maybe the backside needs to be white for the alt mode.

it's beautiful! G1 ramjet was my first seeker I ever bought.

He's probably one of the first tfs I bought brand new...though my memory is super fuzzy on that. Either him or cyclonus...can't remember which one I got first!

I hope they do the rest of the cone heads at similar or cheaper prices :cool:

That's interesting, he seems to think it causes the same difficulty i had with the wings connecting to arms in jet mode. But i wonder... cause the shoulder point he highlighted is about the spot i think is responsible for the chest locking securely now too, so i'm not sure what's intended!

well starting from Tracks and all new molds are from Vietnam while redecos using old molds are China. interesting they never moved the seekers mold just for the sake of the coming coneheads

They must have more repaints or retools planned if they're not moving old molds to the new factory, otherwise, what's the point in keeping an old factory open?

Makes sense. It is 80-90% existing moulds.

The only new parts are the nose, wings, and weapon pods. Rest of it (legs, arms, torso) are old moulding.

Nope, the lower legs are new tooling too. Compare them to the regular seeker mould's pair, the coneheads have legs more accurate to their more original toy accurate animation model

Yeah, I ordered MP-29 as well (first round also), so was a little surprised they didn't ship the two together.

I haven't got any sort of notification for MP-29 though...

EDIT: Wait to see what happens tomorrow or next week -- they said they had a big shipment of various things come in, so they're probably still processing orders. Really, I wouldn't worry at this early stage -- start worrying when more people get them in-hand and you're still waiting for a shipping notification.

A lot of people are doubting TFSource and according to an email response from BBTS (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-news-rumors/1053886-mp-11nr-ramjet-339.html#post13520887) they're not aware of any recall:

Hi - We have received many inquiries as of late about the Takara MP-11NR Ramjet figure and we wanted to update you about this situation. We are not aware of any recall on this item. We have contacted our suppliers and they are not aware of any recall from Takara. BBTS certainly has not been contacted directly by Takara about a recall on this figure or about any other subjects.

It appears a small, but still meaningful percentage of the Ramjet figures do have a quality control issue with the shoulder assembly. This issue prevents the arms from easily tabbing in place in jet mode. We recently made the internal decision to open each MP-11NR box and visually inspect the figure (without opening the plastic tray) to make sure the shoulder assemblies were correct. We then slid the unopened plastic tray carefully back into the box and re-sealed the boxes. Our full order is accounted for and we felt this quick inspection and re-taping of already double or triple taped boxes was reasonable so that our customers could receive a correctly assembled product.

Any order shipped on April 11th or later has been quality checked and should be assembled correctly. A relatively small number of orders shipped out before April 11th and some of those may have improperly assembled shoulders. We will gladly exchange any misassembled figures for a new figure that has been quality checked. We apologize for any inconvenience associated with this situation, and we will evaluate each situation on a case by case basis and come to a solution that you are satisfied with.

That's weird... definitely would like to see the corroboration directly from BBTS though -- just to confirm whether there is a recall going on or not.

My Ramjet from PC has perfect shoulders, with the only problems being a bit of white paint scratch from transformation and the newly-found wing issue (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showpost.php?p=520322&postcount=37).

Mine's from RK, single taped and was going to stay MISB til we knew if dirge or thrust were coming but decided to open partly to check QC and it's all good with the shoulder and wing, and I like him more than thought i would.

Mine came from RobotKingdom, was double taped and had bad shoulders. I have been in contact with them and waiting on their response to see what happens.

check the review thread. basically various QC issues. the main one affecting me is that the shoulder parts are on the wrong arms, which interferes in transforming to jet mode.

I'm supposedly getting a 2nd one from Ehobbybaseshop. They now seem to be aware of the issue now but not holding my breathe for a 'fault free' 2nd Ramjet. It's a shame cos it's a nice figure. Love it.

Any word on what RK is doing? While the shoulders are fine on mine the lower half of his body is a floppy mess.

interesting. what did you say and when kazza? i emailed them and in the back and forth so far they asked for photos etc but i haven't heard anything for a week or so.

Nah I didn't email customer service for a replacement, I bought it outright from RK. I'm not going to bother with the minor cosmetic issue any more.

Anyone having trouble getting him to stand properly?
The toes and heels on mine are a bit loose and they just splay out till the thrusters touch the ground and he falls over.

And I'm still waiting on my pre-order from PC.
They tell me they've got 10 more orders to fill and the last batch was sent to them by sea so they still have no idea how long it'll take before I get mine, but I can opt for a refund if I'd like...

Unless they have specifically said When their supplier has shipped then I would assume it may not have taken place. It takes two months to receive my Thrust by boat, and my friend is still waiting on his from PC.

I took the gamble and bought my ramjet at $10 more than what PC offered and asked for a store credit. However the downfall was the shoulders on my Ramjet were backwards and is a mission to correct it. I displayed it on Bot mode and left it as that.
