Talk about last minute notice - it is noted as being released next week (November 3 to 10) at one pop-up BAPE store (in Isetan Shinjuku), and I guess soon after at the regular BAPE stores. Probably just the Japanese BAPE stores.

This one, like the green one last year, looks to match the smaller versions done 3-4 years ago... which might mean a grey Masterpiece toy next year to finish off the three.

Considering the expense of the green one last year (and I think it was KOed quite quickly), this one will probably just as rare and expensive to chase up.
(and that Eva purple one last year as well... if you were a Masterpiece collector or a collector of that mould, it is becoming a very expensive task)

I tried to get the green one from the BAPE store here last year. Unfortunately it sold out almost immediately despite its huge price so I'm not even going to bother trying to line up for one this year. As much as I love the mould and would collect these in a heartbeat it just isn't worth it.

And as for the clothing... the pricetags for the BAPE Transformers line made my eyes water! (Think AU$100 for a kids t-shirt!)

Looks nice but I'm going to have to try to save me from myself by imposing a new collecting rule. No Mp10s without trailers! I hope I can stick to this rule...

Mostly for boasting (owning an uber-rare toy) if they keep it, or for the value of it (to resell for big profit within a few weeks) if they had no interest in keeping it, but grabbed it before an actual fan could get it at retail price.

Green Bape was about US$350 from the store here in HK (but as I said it sold out so quick it wasn't funny).

When I was looking around for one just after release they were at about US$500 but I can't commit that kind of $$ to a figure I only want because it looks like Optimus in Camo...

I like the mould which is why I would have an interested in getting one but for those kinds of prices I'd rather put the money towards an original G1 Optimus...

I say you end up paying about 96,000jpy in total.

This guy was released in Hong Kong on Saturday in the BAPE Causeway Bay store.
You had to line up from 10 am to 12 pm, get a ballot token and hope when you got to the counter you were lucky. A few people got a token that allowed them to purchase 2 instead of one. As you'd expect he sold out VERY quickly.

He was sold for HK$1699.

Unfortunately I was helping out at the Hong Kong Pedal Kart charity event on the other side of Causeway Bay so I couldn't go.

Yesterday he was being offered up locally by resellers for HK$2500 (the cheapest one anyway).
Too rich for me when he doesn't have a trailer... and after seeing some action shots I kind of prefer the green version...
