For the next week (not sure of the end date), the imported Masterpiece Lambor (Sideswipe) at ToysRUs is on sale for $100 (save $50), but only if you have a VIP card... which is free to join.
The offer is also available on their website (http://www.toysrus.com.au/transformers-mp12-masterpiece-lamborghini-sideswipe_10486288/) if you don't have a TRU store near you or can't import one for less.

this is tempting.
But do I really need to open this blackhole?

On a related note, the Platinum Trypticon has a shelf-tag of $300 in-store, but online it is still at the original $400 price (http://www.toysrus.com.au/transformers-platinum-edition-collectible-trypitcon_10486288/). I'm not sure why it is different. Maybe they dropped the price to get it moving, but haven't yet updated the website price.

Yes, there might still be some cheaper options, particularly used ones, but $100 is within range of importing... and it gives you the ability to exchange it if it is defective.

I actually thought hasbro was eventually going to do sideswipe.
I am surprised they didn't

and that's where Hasbro missed out, I may/would have not mind especially with TRU 20% off at times. I think they are taking too long for their car line up and at this instance too slow compared to TT launching mps.
