Interesting choices.

I think that the WFC Prime design is both far superior to the FOC Prime design and far more worthy of being given the trimmings of a premium release - it would benefit from being larger and more complex design work to get kibble out of the way.

Also interesting choices seeing as these precise characters are already being done/have been done by third parties in the last year (Skysnake (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-3rd-party-discussion/984123-shapeshift-inc-skysnake-foc-starscream.html) and SC-02 (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-3rd-party-discussion/1051095-second-chance-sc-02-voyager-foc-optimus-prime.html)).

It was about 11.5 months after the announcement that they'd decided to do their own version of Grimlock to its release so these would have to have been in the works for a while.

I'm picking Vulcun up from the post office today so will have a better idea of the quality of these figures soon (I've only heard good things so far).

I'll happily pick up the Starscream if it's bringing something interesting to the table - I have a lot more fondness for the deluxe HasTak FOC Starscream figure than it probably warrants.

SkySnake doesn't really count as that's Legends scale, but I do like Planet X's build quality

I'm pretty interested to see the size of these figures compared to the dinobots and the hasbro versions. The current FOC starscream seems to be the right size in comparison to Grimlock as I've posed grimlock holding starscream up by his leg. I understand that's only one scene from the game but its one of the best size comparisons between the two characters.

I can't see any reason to replace my HAsbro version. It's perfect as is. Skysnake at the legends scale is nice, but needs some null Ray's (nabbed from the generations commander Starscream, perfect fit)

So these are due out in the next couple of weeks. Starscream (Mors) is given a "mid October" release and Prime (Jupiter) a "late October" landing date.

I preordered Starscream last night. I can't go past an topic/non-token Cybertronian alt mode.

The comparison photos I've seen with Vulcun (PXs FOC Grimlock) shows they're perhaps slightly larger than a 2016 voyager figure.

Kinda wish they'd used the WfC design for Prime instead of FoCHonestly I think it's suitable that they are redesigning the FoC Prime, most of their other designs are based on that aesthetic and besides the official version of WfC Prime is pretty much spot on except for size, which can be remedied by getting a certain oversized figure that is based on the WfC mold

I really didn't want to buy sight unseen without checking a review... but there was none on youtube till now. I think it might be too late to nab one for Christmas though unless I courier it. I'm sorely tempted now though...... Its was just too big a purchase to make without a review and seeing it in colour.
