Good, a big expensive set that holds little to no interest to me. The minifigures and vehicles look great but the size and design of the bat cave and climbable wall to the manor are awful.

Even if it was sold for the US$ price here I would give it a skip. Not $400 worth in this set at all.

Timing and price... i've got fingers crossed this will be Targets Toy Sale crown jewel this year.... (Only $20 more RRP than Ewok Villiage)

And Doubtful, but GBHQ the BigW 2 per store $#%&*!!!!!

Yeah. It's such a shame as I had high hopes for this. Not liking the 'Bat Cave' or the Helicopter or the building. Even after a closer look at the Batmobile, I don't even find that all that great. I will definately wait to see if Target will sell it since they sold the Tumbler. And wait for one of their 'glitch' sales.:D

Out of the Lego game for a long time, do these big "collector" sets typically come to retail here?

Yep sometimes. Myer, BigW and Target will generally have some of these sets as their exclusive. Like the UCS Tie Fighter, Batmobile, Slave 1 etc. not all of these "collector" sets will make it to retail though so it's hard to say which sets will appear (and usually 3-6months after the initial release).

Love the Catwoman minifig, the vintage vehicles are quite appealing as well. Expensive set though.

Anyone seen these in the wild yet ? I have been told Target has had these in limited numbers like 1 to 2 and apparently they flew off the shelf.

Just what this Batcave needs. A TV series Mr Freeze free with any order over $100 from Lego's online store this month:

Seeming the Lego release date (online and in Lego stores) was AFTER you asked this, and there has been no one on any Aus Lego website saying it's been seen in Australia.... I'd say someone was pulling your leg....

But never fear.... Mid year sales are coming.... Hoping its in there somewhere

Sounded too good to be true when I heard it but yes lets hope so :)

not sure if this has been posted but I just checked the current Toy catalogue from Target and on page 3 and 4 it has, The Lego Super Heroes Bat Cave listed for $399, UCS Hoth for $399 and the UCS Tie for $279.

I then quizzed the door girl about how long these sets listed above have been on sale at that particular store but she had no idea.

I then had a quick look through the shop in the Lego department but none were to be seen so they have either sold out or will be rolled out in the coming days/weeks.

They have been out (and selling) for the last few weeks. I got mine 2 weeks ago. Some Targets are not putting stock out until the catalogue starts. Others have. And they are available to buy online too.

Thanks Omega, I hope Target have a sale soon on those items I might save my money until then and swoop in and get a bargain if they last that long.

Unfortunately there's no discount on Hoth or Batcave. You are probably better off buying it from Lego S@H during double VIP and get a free gift too. I used $200 worth of FlyBuy Dollars and staff discount so only paid $180 for my Batcave.

There's a lot of bad reviews for the UCS Hoth set. To me it looks like they threw a bunch of smaller sets together in a box and slapped a UCS badge on it. $400 for 2000 pieces seems way overpriced and I'll save my money for another set.

I've seen them in some stores, others have small tags saying to enquirer at layby or the service desk. Neither is very impressive in person.

Thanks Omega, and gee that sucks about no discounts, so it looks like I will have sift through Gumtree because already there's some lady that has one for sale for $350.

It's only a matter of time before one of these vendors, who lets just say acquire these sets from questionable sources, will off load one in the high to low $200ish range. :)

Felt the same, so will be skipping this. Hopefully they bring out more starships with Rogue One at the end of the year.

Finally picked this set up. Was looking to see if this would go on sale at Target but not sure if they will still have their X% off toy sales anymore with their everyday "low" prices.

Thanks though to a post by SuspectimusPrime, bought for 15% off via Target's eBay store. :)

For those who may be interested, this is currently on sale at Target for $349 (save $50). The Hoth "UCS" is also on sale for this price.
