Where do you guys keep your boxes etc.?? I chuck out most of my packages (I had a massive TF package purge in 2005), but even among the packages I choose to keep... well... see for yourselves! :p

I used to keep everything.
About 3 years ago, I purged the bubbles off of all the BW, BM, Armada & Energon cards.
It saved heaps of room. I'm now able to hang the cards on 1 nail per series.

I keep all instructions/bio cards & all reissue boxes/original G1 boxes/MP Boxes/Any really nice boxes (usually Japanese :))
Every other type of packaging gets thrown out :) (sorry, I couldn't find the option that best summed this up)

I throw the bubble of carded figures. Everything else (except twist ties) is kept.

For the smaller figures I keep the cards (although at first I cut them up), for larger boxed figures I normally only keep the back, and through the rest away.
Never keep bubbles and plastic, waste of space.
I do however keep Japanese and re-issue boxes complete.

Everything goes to recycling minus twist-ties. They come in handy in the garden. :p

Haha if you've been here long enough, you would know that Icy and I hardly let our TF's breath, so yeah EVERYTHING is kept intact actually. :D But for the rare times they come out, I keep everything as well from the small transparent rubber bands, metal twists and even small cardboard pieces, all is kept.

I'm getting out of the packaging game, its all gonna go (except G1 and res-issues)
as pretty as the Takara packaging is I don't need it rotting in a cupboard somewhere.

Or you could just sell that unwanted Japanese packaging to me. :)

I would love to keep all my boxes, but they take up too much space. The only reason I can think of keeping the boxes is re-sale value. I would probably never sell my collection anyway.....

I keep it all, and store it in my storage shed along with my sealed transformers. Takes up a lot of room, espy the bulky wasteful American packages. Which is why I have been trying to purchase loose complete recent items, but its not as easy as it should be.

Does anyone know for certain that the plastic bubbles from Hasbro toys are recycleable plastic? Do people just assume it is? I assume it's not because they don't have the PET recycling symbol on them so I'm not sure and throw it all in the rubbish bin (and feel a bit bad)

I assume it is and I've been chucking them into the recycling bin. *shrug* Maybe that's something we can add to the questions for Hasbro thread?

Put a lighter to some of the bubble plastic and watch the results. If it's a clean burn, then it's most likely PE/PP, (what milk bottles are made from) or if there is soot, then most likely PS.
