I like a lot of what I see.
Fort Max is a yes, may even display in base mode with all those figures that interact with him.
Blurr looks great, as does the artwork for a rainstorm, but he may not replace the voyager version for me...
Alpha Trion, Hardbead, Skullcruncher, Mindwipe and maybe Scourge will be bought on site.
Not so sure about Sentinel Prime, even though it's his first toy for this version of the charscter, and Astro Train might be a "wait for Takara's" as I like my Gen. Asia version's colourings.
Chromedome looks very G1. Won't replace the TFSS version in my Lost Light crew, but might get him to stick with TR Brainstorm around Fort Max. And two Rewinds to display with both Chromedomes.
Blaster a a probable. Soundwave less likely, but still an option. Powermaster Prime doesn't really interest me too much, but as a base component for Fort Max, maybe?
Will most likely pick up all the legends figures as they're new/unique characters to my collection, and Wheelie does look pretty sweet. Will probably pick up all the disembodied heads/Titanmasters to populate Fortmax as well.

I had a look through all of Seibertron's galleries for TR and I'm sold on the entire line. Looks like a great year for CHUG.

I'm impressed. The explosion of good product launches ... but why does the butt end of Galvatron's alt mode remind me of FOC Grimlock?
The Platinum Edition Boxes have the 30 year Movie anniversary logo.

I wonder how many people would army build the little Titan master guys? Particularly when they are heads for bigger robots we'd actually want!
Still some nice looking deluxe bots in the mix. I quite like the Wheelie too! Will try and get that RID Platnium set for Grimlock.

Fortress Maximus has much better robot mode proportions than Metroplex. I doubt it'll happen but I hope Hasbro or Tomy will sell an edition with only Cerebros and Emmisary. No space for the fortress.
The display of HeadTitanmasters reminds me of the 1987 toy catalog. All the deluxe Titanmasters are well-articulated, and even Wheelie looks amazing.

On my definite want list:
* Fortress Maximus
* Chromedome
* Skullcruncher
* Mindwipe
* Powermaster Optimus Prime
* Wheelie
* Sentinel Prime
* Eject/Rewind
I'm currently not planning on getting Astrotrain, as my Henkei version still suits me fine. But then again, I said the same thing about Generations Jetfire, and I still ended up getting him, so... :p #neversaynever
Fortress Maximus has much better robot mode proportions than Metroplex. I doubt it'll happen but I hope Hasbro or Tomy will sell an edition with only Cerebros and Spike. No space for the fortress.

The RID line looks dead going by whats at Toy Fair.
Does anyone know if the small packs of Headmasters are extra (replacement) heads of completely different heads?

It seems Victorion is a better lighter shade of green, more like the art. Is an improvement. Could just be the lighting?
Does anyone know if the small packs of Headmasters are extra (replacement) heads of completely different heads?
The little guys with a little transforming action masters style vehicle partners? They are the heads of the second year headmasters Nightbeat, Siren, Horri-Bull and Squeezeplay that you can put on any of the bigger toys.

The RID line looks dead going by whats at Toy Fair.
•Revamped packaging
•3 more warriors (1 being remould 1 a possible new mould or an extensive remould and 1 a season 2 con)
•2 new legions (1 a repaint, 1 a new mould)
•2 new battle packs (1 new mould 1 repaint. Both with new minicons)
•Another minicon multipack
•3 new one steps (3 new moulds from what I can see)
•Another repainted 3 step bumblebee
•A platinum edition set
•A new large Optimus Prime
•And a boatload of new Minicons (both repaints and new moulds)
If you ask me RiD looks like it's going full force in 2016
and I am very happy about that. Bring on all of them. And what we else you have in store.
As for Titans Return. I am really torn on these guys. Some look cool. But I've always found the Headmaster concept silly. So it lowers my interest that they essentially parts form by removing their head to transform.
That said some of them look pretty neat.
Mind wipe looks epic, Galvatron is pretty cool. Skullsmasher looks really cool. And surprisingly articulated in Gator mode.
Blurr while lanky and very very blue. Actually looks a lot better than I expected.
Scourge is just Laughably bad.
I am so upset about that Chromedome though. I so badly wanted an IDW Chromedome for my Lost Light collection. But this is so G1 that it just won't fit in there. Which given how nice the Legends Rewind looks makes me really sad.
Speaking of Legends though Rewind looks awesome, and him turning into both a data slug AND a super space tank is so perfect.
The rumble remould looks good except for the bright red turret. That just looks weird.
Out of al the TR stuff on show here though. Wheelie easily steals the show (hey that rhymed) wheelie looks so great. Nice robot mode, perfect car mode. Can be piloted by Titan masters. He's a definite buy for me.
Fort Max is a maybe I missed out on Metroplex so wouldn't mind getting a use of the mould
All in all reasonably happy with what we got from this toy fair. With Windblade, Scorponok, Wheelie, Groundpounder and Mindwipe being the highlights for me.
Our next round of reveals would come from Botcon yes? Or is there another con before then?

They don't often show store exclusives at Toyfair (unless it is something significant to add to the visuals of the display), because the toy companies are trying to sell/pitch their products to all Retailers (so don't need to waste space promoting something that is already signed up to just one Retailer)... so the obvious absences of the Combiner Wars boxsets (Gen2 redecos, Computron & Liokaiser) probably means that they are store exclusives, and as such, we won't get official confirmation/reveal of some of them until Hasbro feels ready to do it through their website/facebook/twitter.
We might not even see them until BotCon in April or SDCC in July, if they aren't scheduled for release until after the middle of the year.
The Platinum Edition RID 2-pack is a surprise, and if the retail pricing isn't double of their equivalent regular release toys (a Voyager & a Deluxe), I will get that, as I missed out on the Japanese Grimlock... which demands US$50+ these days.
The Rescue Bots Display looked more impressive than the RID display to me... making it look like a winding up of the RID toyline. And the RID display didn't seem to have much that impressed me either. Only one Decepticon Warrior, one Decepticon Legion, and one Decepticon gimmick toy (one-step Bisk)... all the rest of the Decepticons are Minicons. How boring. Talk about going overboard on a gimmick.
It's weird, but after all the existing reveals (from Octobers' NYCC & Hasbro announcements) and the recent leaked artwork, I was actually expecting more for the Titans Return reveals. I know that the first wave doesn't get released until about June/July, so Hasbro usually only promotes products for the next 4-6 months (and they don't have too many toys ready in physical form beyond that).
I guess with the really early reveal of TR toys 4 months ago at NYCC in October, and FortMax and Deluxes already revealed by Hasbro or leaks, it really only left Wheelie, Rumble and Laserbeak as the only "new" toys revealed... and that kinda ruined the hype for me.

Link please, I've only seen photos of a couple of figures. There are only 4 photos of RID on Seibertron. Not exactly a ton of figures.
EDIT: Oops, forgot to click through to Seibertron's full gallery. Better, but mostly remoulds and repaints.

Some nice reveals this year, and some so-so stuff. Fort Max looks a lot more promising than Metroplex did, though I wish they could have given him a foot tilt so he could hold more than a base standing pose easily.
Blur and to some degree even Scourge look better than I expected. Still not sure about Galvatron, the cannon mode is just so lazy. Mindwipe's robot mode is great, but his bat mode bugs me.
And Wheelie looks cool, how often do you hear that on a TF forum? :p

There looks to be some nice products in there.
I'm sold on Scourge (he's a tad boxy and the headmaster gimmick is a bit naff, but he'll do nicely as my long-awaited 3rd Sweep), Skullcruncher/smasher still looks great, and while they've lost me on Mindwipe (robot mode looks great, bat mode looks awful) they look to have done a nice job on that Chrome Dome.
Shame about Mindwipe, the wings-into-legs transformation is pretty nifty, but the bat mode just kills it for me.
Blurr looks good (especially in vehicle mode), but really needs more paint.
Victorion looks much better with the more subdued shade of green. It's still an awful choice of colour scheme (seriously, can Hasbro not afford a colour-wheel?), but it's much better than the previous take.
Wheelie looks good, if I didn't already have an Odieverse Wheelie he'd be bought on sight.
Powermaster Prime looks good too, nice and chunky and powerful.
A lot of the little guys (vehicles & Titan Masters) look pretty sweet too.
Probably my biggest issue is with the Cyclonus-and-Sweeps pack...really, clear plastic, used there? On joints that are heavily involved in the transformation? That's just asking for breakage down the track.
Shame, 'cos it looks pretty, but clear plastic just always gets so brittle so quickly.:( Keep it for weapons and parts that aren't used for joints @Hasbro. Maketoys pretty much nailed the how-to-use-clear-plastic factor with their Quantron release IMO - accents and single-piece weapons, but not important movement/connection pieces.

The RID Season Two trailer at today's presentation is now viewable on the LATimes website here (http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/herocomplex/la-et-hc-transformers-robots-in-disguise-trailer-premiumvideo.html).
It goes for 72 seconds, and shows a fair few Decepticons running around, including several new ones (that we probably won't get toys for).
The second season starts February 20th in America, on Cartoon Network.

The items revealed or displayed at the New York Toyfair from the links above in post #10, which will then be added to the 2016 Toy Checklist later.
Unfortunately, Hasbro have stopped labelling their displays at these sorts of events, so unless there is packaging in the display, official images given out with their names on the filenames, or a mention in the presentation, there will have to be guesses made or blank spaces. Anything noted with a question mark, is something that isn't yet known.

For the Rescue Bots fans, BWTF have posted up the press release (http://www.bwtf.com/news/toyfair2016-rescuebots-product-descriptions) and official images (http://www.bwtf.com/news/toyfair2016-rescuebots-official-images) for that toyline, revealing a lot of new names of toys that were on display at Toyfair.
It reveals the purple/grey race car as being our first transforming Morbot toy... just not like the one in the first three seasons. :(
It also points out that there is another Salvage garbage truck toy, just a year after the first one. (why??)
And we have a new Hoist toy to go with Medix, who were the two characters who had toys in the first year (in the larger size class), and now we have them in new smaller toy forms, despite not being in the cartoon. Why not spend that money creating two new characters if they are not going to be on the show, like they've done with the new Sideswipe toy (if it isn't going to be in the cartoon).
And the human with the Firehouse headquarters set that's in a fireman suit, is apparently Cody, which might actually relate to the fourth season, as an early trailer showed him looking a big grown up (at least mid teens).
BWTF has also posted up Press Releases for RID (http://www.bwtf.com/news/toyfair2016-rid2015-product-descriptions) and Generations (http://www.bwtf.com/news/toyfair2016-generations-product-descriptions) (which confirms the name change of Skullcruncher to Skullsmasher, and the existence of Ravage.
I've been updating the listing a few posts above with the new information.
One more demo video, of the three Power Surge RID toys - Optimus Prime (http://www.bwtf.com/news/toyfair2016-powersurgeop-demo) and Bumblebee & Sideswipe (http://www.bwtf.com/news/toyfair2016-powersurge-bee-demo).

Max looks amazing, really happy with how they've done him!
I thought it actually looked very dull in colours.

Aren't Chromedome and Mindwipe in wave 1 and Skullcrusher and Hardhead in wave 2?

Agreed, he looks sensational and has an amazing blend between the original G1 toy with modern detailing.

Hardhead and Skullcruncher/smasher were revealed at NYCC in October as Wave 1 (with two spots left secret at that time), and the Toyfair Presentation noted Blurr and Scourge as the remaining two for wave one.
That leaves Chromedome and Mindwipe for wave two.

Maybe some more blue in places but other than that I think they've done a great job.

So I'm wondering if Hasbro were going to do any reveals for their Masterpiece line, they would've done it by now?

Maybe not, as the MP line in the US is usually a store exclusive. Events like this one are to show off to as many retailers as possible...

Yeah that was what I read though I also read that Hasbro Soundwave and Acid Storm were revealed at previous NY Toy Fairs.
Either way, I reveal here would be great to get fans interested, not just potential retailers.

I'm trying to cut down just to Masterpiece, Lego Star Wars and 6 inch Black Series Star Wars, but damn, this looks like the best line (IMO) ever, other then MP! :eek::eek::eek:

I think I'm going to limit myself a little bit to stop wallet explosions:
*Legends Wheelie because he looks awesome and can hold a Titan Master.
*Deluxe Chromedome looks really G1 and not IDW and I like that, and he can hold his Titan Master fully enclosed.
*Voyager Galvatron. SO AWESOME AND G1!!!! Also, look at my Username :p.
*All the Titan Masters, because I love the fact you can swap heads and they will be cheap :p (well, for Transformers anyway).
*Deluxe Blurr, pretty much the same reasons as Chromedome.
*I want Fort Max, but I'm trying to limit myself, and I think I'd need to sell my Metroplex to get him.

Are there any photos of the Trypticon early design? All the sites are mentioning it, but I can't find any photos or even a description of it :confused:
It may have been a "no photo" part of Toyfair, but its surprising that no details at all have been mentioned (that I can find.)
Having the same problem.
Overall I'm really happy with what's on show, though I'm not a massive fan of the Headmaster gimmick, I personally greatly prefer Targetmasters.
But considering how cool CW was and how great lots of these figures look I've really gotta take my hat off to Hasbro :)

This fair is great! I saved my wallet a lot this year. No MPs , a dull fort max which didn't get me excited as what I thought it was going to be. And seeing all these head masters means no MPs for those in future too.
All in all I am good. Pretty sure news in two more months we get some MPs for August and November

Really?
I mean... fair enough.... but.... really?!? :eek:
You know what? I'm not bagging you out at all over this man, I'm really not. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and if you don't think much of this Fort Max then you are perfectly valid to think that way.
But I'm just a bit stunned, I mean... what were you expecting? :confused: Especially since it was announced ages ago this was going to be a retool of Generations Metroplex.
There are a few things one could nitpick at I'll grant you:
*The city mode doesn't really look like the G1 version
*The robot mode is quite lanky in the legs like Metroplex. A shame considering the original Fort Max had such stocky ones.
*No Gasket and Grommet
But there is so much GOOD stuff here!:
*A pretty cool reimagining of the city mode while still having plenty of elements of the original!
*Size - he's as tall as the original Fort Max!
*A battle base/space cruiser mode that frankly looks better than the original!
*Faithful colour scheme!
*Cerebros as a Headmaster!
*Cerebros has his own Headmaster!
*Giant Fricken Leg Cannons!
I'm not sure how they could have done it any better - I know I couldn't have! I'm genuinely curious to what you find lacking about this figure and what you think they should have done differently. Admittedly I trawl the other TF forums very little but this is the first I've heard of someone not liking the new Fort Max so my interest is piqued.

Urm yes really. If it's excites you be my guess, I am happy for ya.
Hey I am not upset though. I am just glad it was not exciting enough for me and hence saved me money.
The colours for me are way too dull. FYI I have asked other collectors opinions and they felt the same .
Anyway I am not here to bash fort max. You are entitled to be excited and be happy. I am happy I saved cash from this fair.
FYI I can get fort max basically free and I am not going to do it.

9 times out of 10, they don't show store exclusives, unless it is something impressive to pad out the display (and not actually pitch to retailers). In the past we've had some of the Masterpiece toys included in the Toyfair Displays (like Grimlock a couple years ago), and the Masterpiece line is usually mentioned in their slide show presentation (as one of the items aimed at the older demographic), so it is telling that they didn't include it anywhere this year.
Something I'll have to remember to ask at the Australian Toyfair this year.
At least for Australia, if Hasbro (America) stop producing Masterpiece toys (because ToysRUs overprice them to the point of being unsellable), we should still have some of the Japanese ones be imported here in Australia.

Ur no as is my free credits. I buy something I want when I see it.
Yeah I get it. And I don't mean to offend anyone either. Fort max isn't my cup of tea this year. Typticon maybe metroplex was an instant hit for me.
Don't worry I am not going to be in a fort max thread bagging it. I stay away from things I have no interest

It is indeed surprising that no one has at least given us some sort of commentary on Trypticon, like if it looked very Gen1, or over-simplified to make it cheaper to produce (there's not much redeco/remould potential as Gigastorm is very obscure, so I'd be surprised if even TakaraTomy do it).
I asked the owner of BWTF site about his thoughts, and he said it was "very G1-centric", and seemed impressed by it.
Hasbro should show off the designs again at BotCon in two months time, so if anyone is keen to see it, there's at least one reason to attend. :p

They do look good for what they are . I am just lucky that I have no attachment interest in them. But yes the headmaster are not a bad come back and I think target masters and power masters may make their way in as well down the road.
