NECA 1990 TMNT movie figures

Just saw this over at The Toyark. Looks like NECA will be returning to TMNT figures with 1/4 scale movie figures!

I have to say they really nailed the sculpt on Donny. Hopefully they keep it up for the other 4 turtles. Supposedly going to be releasing 1 figure each quarter, but no idea on price yet (a few people are speculating about US$100.) Which if true makes them a lot cheaper than the Mondo comic based figures.

Really looking forward to these ones, and hopefully a Shredder!:D

The tmnt figured I've allways wanted just at the wrong scale. I think neca is planing/finding a way to bring these out at a smaller scale then I'll be all over these.

Yeah the scale is a bit of a let down. I'm hoping they can release them in a smaller scale too. Apparently there are a lot of issues with specific scale contracts with other companies, etc. I'm not too clued in on it but it seems like its hard for them to get figures made in the more popular scales.

I know what you mean! The Figurarts Turtles look awesome as well! But the movie Donny just looks so well made and sculpted. I can't pass him up!

I haven't picked up any TMNT stuff since the original reissues in 2009 (I stopped buying them after Playmates put their ban on international sales out of the US - and while Aus was getting diddly squat.) So that's the excuse I'm using for myself to go a bit crazy with the recent cool TMNT figures ;)

Oh yeah, the movie Donatello is just too cool! And as much as I want to get him, for me it's going to come down to availability. PC has the Figuarts Turtles, so it's an easy thing to get without paying through the nose for shipping.

Now if those NECA turtles end up at PC... it's going to be carnage!

I wasn't expecting for PC to offer the Figuarts Turtles, so that surprised me. Not that I'm complaining - their prices are a lot better than any of the US sites. :p

So I'm really hoping they will get the NECA movie Turtles too.

Perhaps the scale of SH Figuarts Turtles are similar to that of the SH Figuarts Power Rangers 20th Anniversary figures. Wonder if they'll be packed with a serious face.

Its like they just stepped out of the movie. And Neca had one of the "pre-turtles" (their first stage of mutation) hidden in the Predator display apparently. So I wonder if those will get released too?

I'm surprised PC haven't gotten them. Considering they had the S.F Figuarts. And also sell other Neca stuff. I did ask them a few times but never got a reply and ended up ordering Donnie from another Aus store. It would be nice if they decided to offer them.

Yeah, it's strange that PC haven't offered them up yet -- they're offering other 1/6 figures (eg: Dream EX Shredder, Casey Jones and soon-to-be-listed Rocksteady and Bebop), so they know that anything Ninja Turtles is desirable!

Maybe we just have to wait a bit and see...

I love the NECA movie figures but really can't justify them at the moment (looking toward their release). Hopefully that changes, but it depends on what else is my collecting priority at the time.

That said, I just ordered the SDCC NECA video game turtles and cannot wait for them to arrive. Ridiculously expensive (limited to 2x 4 figure sets, each limited to 3,000 units) and only available at SDCC for pickup (due to an agreement with Playmates) but ho. Ly. Shit. I cannot wait.

Don seems to be pretty much sold out (for now at least. Not sure if NECA are doing another run), and Raph is on Pre-order now. So if Leo is the first one PC are offering, chances are they will only get Mikey if they decide to continue.

At full price, they are a lot of money. But they are so well worth it in my opinion! :D And I saw a few Don's on Ebay AU for about $170 during his release. So same thing might happen with Raph too.

I have Don. He is pretty amazing. The textured skin feels really cool and he is actually pretty poseable but make sure you work his joints out slowly, they are pretty stiff at first.
The large size and the realistic look renders him pretty awesome.

thanks to our new neca customers for the support given over the last 24 hours, we have almost pre-sold our leonardo offer and other items are getting some good support also,
1/4 scale figures seem to be a good hit and we will expand offers in future
