Wada Kouji, the singer who performed the Transformers Car Robot opening theme, Blazing Overdrive (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxrN9QZMEJo) has passed away just last Monday (http://news.biglobe.ne.jp/list/033/009/%E5%92%8C%E7%94%B0%E5%85%89%E5%8F%B8_%E6%AD%BB%E5% 8E%BB.html). :(

Agreed. He's not much older than those of us who grew up with G1 in the 80s. :( I don't know if Wada's death was caused by his smoking, but considering that 75% of throat cancers are attributed to smoking, it wouldn't surprise me if it was a contributing factor. Still a tragic loss, and condolences go out to his friends and family. :(
