That's an awesome collection, Johnny!

There are several figures there that I wish to own some day.

I like how you have a double set of Dinobots for displayed in both modes.

Thanks Kup. Yeah the dinobots are cool. Jetfire is also a fav. Which ones you after? As I wrote in another one of my posts I started doubling up so I could display them in both their modes. Then came the triple changes, it hurt but I did it for them too. Then the Six changes made me cry so I stopped. I have a fair few parts/doubles if you want some let me know, but the again looking at some of the other collections, im sure there are plenty spare ... Lordy!!!!

if you want to rid yourself of some spares don't be shy, plenty of buyers here, including me!

Ditto! You have 15 Transformers I don't (but none from your doubles) - although my Grimlock and Snarl are busted up so if you ever feel like selling your doubles of those, LMK!! :D

Also, your Hot Spot is mistransformed (the chest plate should be up, not down) :)

Otherwise noice!

Also, where did you get that that Ulysses 31 box set and what I really want to know is does it have the original language track or is it English dub only? I so want that show on DVD but I only want it in its original French w/ English subtitles.

OH MY GOOOOD!! awesome!!! You've got double of Squawktalk and I can't even find one measly figure anywhere! I can see why you've asked for the display cabinets... you really do need it so you can properly display these figures in all their glory. Really impressed. hey if you've got spares - parts, guns (personally, Sixshot and Pretenders) and otherwise your willing to part with, sell them here. Plenty of buyers here, including me. Man can't get over that squawktalk... lucky find!

Luv them dinobots too. For Swoop if you want to display him in Dino mode (flying) i can recommend that you get a display platform for Gundam - it costs $10 in hobby shops. Put up pics below for your perusal...

Ha ha. Nice pickup. Ok Hotspot is now fixed, not that he deserves it, he got way too much on air cartoon time.
Had a look at Ulysses. Sorry its the English dubbed version.

*nods* I agree. I do that when possible. It doesn't mean that I actively go out seeking doubles - and I have very few true doubles. But sometimes I have variants (e.g.: originals with reissues) and in such cases I'll have one of each displayed in each mode. Sometimes I will display repaints of the same mould in various moulds - e.g.: my Cheetor and Tigatron are in robot modes, but Shadow Panther is in beast mode, my BT Grimlock is in robot mode but BT Wheeljack is in car mode. I reckon it's a neat thing to do if you can (and have the space) and it's kewl to see others doing something similar (great minds think alike and fools seldom differ, eh) ;)

...when I get my Encore Omega Supreme I'm gonna be displaying one of my Omegas in rocket base mode - I recently removed my G1 Megatron and Megaplex off one my 1984 Decepticon shelf, which is right next to my 1985 Autobot shelf so I'm probably gonna move my '84 Decepticons over to one side to make space for Omega Supreme in rocket base mode. :p :p

I got an idea for a cool display
Im thinking that instead of grouping them in Autobots or Deceptigons, or as most people have groups of TF's made in the same year, im going to reproduce a few of the scenes in the movie. That way I get to use some of my doubles, and well its a bit different. I just finished watching the TF movie (widescreen edition) and im all excited again. Good reason to watch the Headmaster series again, and the whole series post TF movies too. Ya!!!
And I know just the scenes!!!

Also I never noticed gut snarl does appear in the TF movie, for around 1 second. Just 1 frame of him, but he is there im sure of it. I wasn't allowed to reverse and freeze frame because gf wouldn't let me but I know I saw him.
can anyone confirm this?

Johnny

Had a quick look and yeah I can confirm Snarl is there Maybe (im sure) old news for you guys but I never realized it :)

Snarl appears on screen two more times. We could tell/show you where but it might be more fun to find them yourself? :) It's an Easter Egg hunt!

I display my collection in chronological order and divided by faction. I use up my "doubles" (mostly variants of the same mould). You can see pics of my collection on the old board here (http://otca.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=2966). :) Using doubles to make dioramas sounds like a cool idea if you have the space for it... also, making landscapes looks expensive (I've looked at the price for some of those miniature terrain accessories... phwoar!). But hey, if you have the funds and the space - go nuts! (and be sure to show us piccies) :)

+1. :) But if you really want to know read post #18 onthis thread (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=17&page=2) :)

Hehehehe Snarl had a bit of an attitude, and was often drunk on Energon coladas and was sent by the director packing on the shoot days of the movie so they edited him off in the battle seen...:D:D:D

Its a where's wally thing for snarl in the movie :D:D

I once heard Tony Martin say that one of the disadvantages of looking like Wally is that people come up to him on the streets and say, "FOUND YA!" :)
