I might give this a try after my replacement Ramjet arrives. Though still doesn't look easy getting that pin out.:(

It's probably better to get a watch pin removal kit -- cheapest one on ebay was about $1.50 (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Adjustable-Watch-Band-Bracelet-Repair-Tool-Band-Link-Pin-Removal-New-/161884184960?hash=item25b10ca180:g:wxsAAOSw14xWQqf H) without all the extra bits.
