Most annoying G1 character

I was watching some G1 about 20 mins go.. I wasn't paying any attention to what eps. But I realized that there are a few bots that really annoy me. just the voices and personality's of the characters.

Such as, for me, Cozmos. His voice really drives me up the wall... I don't know why. I just hate it. And as a bot.. Huffer. He's so negative and never enthused about anything.. His voice also $h hits me..

Your opinion.

Blurr wins hands down. I hate him in the G1 cartoon. Much prefer the Animated incarnation.

It's "Cosmos" and his voice is supposed to be a Russian accent, which Michael McConnohie admits was a painfully difficult voice to do because he had to really careful not to let it slide off into a bad Mexican accent. ;)

Wild random thought: Cosmos' alt mode is an Adamski UFO (hence why Cosmos' Japanese name is "Adams"), and George Adamski was originally from Poland. Poland neighboured the U.S.S.R. during the Cold War (and during the time of G1)... so perhaps in an act of American ignorance they decided that a Russian accent sounded the same as a Polish one?? Probably not. :p

Otherwise, I don't see what's wrong with Cosmos. He's actually fairly high-spirited considering how lonely he often feels as a result from the fact that his station requires him to be isolated for extensive periods of time. Not quite as lonely as WALL-E or Kim Jong-Il (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDBcGzHAt5Q), but still pret-ty darn ronerylonely. :D

Not really... he does get into doing things, but he won't admit or show it. Same with Gears actually (so I'm surprised you haven't lumped the two whingers together). But both are dedicated Autobots who do their job.

But I don't see anything really wrong with either three of these Autobots. They all make reasonable contributions to the story/continuity.

The annoying thing with He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named is that he never really contributed anything of value to Transformers continuity, other than guiding the Dinobots to find Hot Rod and Kup in TFTM... but that was pretty much it. If you could assassinate He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named before Season 3, it would not really alter continuity. If you removed Huffer, Gears or Cosmos from continuity, it would dramatically change the course of events... for example, the Dinobots may never have been recovered from the Savage Land!

I'm gonna say the most annoying character in G1 aside from He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named is Daniel Witwicky! :p

Seaspray's voice always grinded on me but I love the toy. Pretty much felt the same for Cosmos. Huffer was a whiny little bitch as well.

cosmos's voice always made me laugh, the accent was always so... different? haha.. but to be honest none of the G1 characters really annoyed me to any great deal, apart from the obvious, he-who-shall-not-be-named as said above.. and no, its not voldermort..

He was pretty annoying in the comics too. Even his own commanding officer once attempted to sabotage his own reconstruction! But there is a cool side to him... his arrogance is backed by the fact that he is pretty cool in terms of being the only Autobot car with a flight mode and being able to confuse enemies with his cloud gun. And again, Tracks did significantly contribute to continuity.

Nah. I don't really find anyone from G1 annoying. Yes, even Wheelie, though I tend to watch more episodes from the first two seasons rather than the third one, so I haven't seen much of him aside from the movie.

I'm in trouble here: the Dinobots. Despite the attempts by the comics to fix them, I just cringed every time they came on. Even worse was the fact that the Autobots built them and they ended up so bad.

They shouldve just left Danny die in that godforsaken planet. Even with Sixshot around , he wouldve run out of energon and ceased to function and Danny wouldve ended up a sacrifice for them rock creatures. That'll learn him for be such an irritating little t@$%.
Fortress concerned of what Spike would say why Danny was lost... I say hey its a war Buddy no place for some irritating kid.. Casualties occur! And what kind of a father is he anyways letting a kid go of in space like that sheesh. :mad::mad:

Gah I hated that episode (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/My_Friend_Sixshot%21)! I would have had Sixshot vaporise Danny into dust but instead they have Sixshot playing a protective parent, showing his caring side... :rolleyes:

Those numbskulls! Sixshot is a killing machine - he's not supposed to have a freakin' heart! :D
