Apparently a Masterpiece sized version of IDW Jazz

I love all things Jazz, I don't know if I'm super impressed with the face, from this angle I really like the proportions of the body.

I don't know if I can support them because they called it J4zz.

that's my biggest frustration, I feel like their entire company should be set on fire just for the name of the toy.

I saw an unpainted prototype for this a while ago, not bad, but maybe a little too CHUG like for me. I'd like to see a more G1 Jazz, from Takara ideally, but if not hoping MMC or Badcube take a shot at him.

Full points for alt mode accuracy. That is spot on to a 911.

I don't like the finish. Looks too plasticy

Sure that's not chug scale? Looks way too plasticky and small framed for mp

Apparently it will be painted pearl white and be about 17cm tall bringing it more into MP scale.

Aaaaaaand it turns out I don't know my Porches nearly as well as I thought. It's actually a 991 GT3, not a 911.

They all look the same anyway :p

that's not IDW's design for Jazz (no door wings in their design) so looks like a slightly more modernised version of G1? Not exactly MP aesthetic

The preorder is up on PC.

I have no idea how this fits into my collection. Pics of it look very sweet. I find myself wishing the stripes were not there so that we could appreciate that alt mode in its full glory.

Generations Toys Devastator has looked pretty sharp. Their bots have great head sculpts. But this, I'm a little confused of where they're going.

It's a similar direction to TransFormMission's Stunticons. MP scaled IDW inspired designs.

MMC have said they are working on a MP Jazz, but I'll probably grab this too because I like the look of it.

So the J4ZZ on display at TFcon looks much nicer than the promo pics. The navy plastic parts are now black, the headlights are clear and the stripes look crisp and bright.

GT confirmed a while ago that the blue glass would be clear/black. Yeah, supposed to be out later this month. :)

No sigh of any of the G1 MP Jazzes at TFCon yet, including the much rumored MCC version. Maybe in the slide-show presentation in 4 hours...

So J4ZZ has been released and the reviews are good so far. :)

Now to see how many months/weeks it takes for PC to get their shipment... :rolleyes:

Have you checkout maketoys take on mp jazz? It's not bad except for the headlights.

Yeah, it's looking promising. :) I just like this contemporary version of Jazz as well.

I got this earlier this year.

It's a fantastic looking figure, and very playable. The joints onj mine were loose in spots but I used a bit of superglue magic to sort that out.

I enjoy the aesthetic, and I enjoy the scale. It's a dynamic looking figure and I've got much more interest in figures of this style at this scale with modern or comic faithful alt modes than Sunbow accurate MP figures.
