This picture comes from the Chinese hobby magazine 《模魂志》 "The Soul of the Model" or "Spirit of the Model", it's a first look at Toyworld's rendition of Jazz, named Blues. It's 18 cm tall, and looks like he's about as tall as Tracks. According to the picture, Blues and their Springer will be released in October of this year...the release date for their Optimus Prime (named Orion again, and 27cm tall) isn't in the picture.

Nope, I was thinking the same thing... a MP version of Springer would be awesome. In regards to Jazz, while it looks awesome I would prefer a G1 version.

I was thinking the exact same thing!

The feet look like theres too much going on for my liking with Blues. I wish TnR would come back from the dead and do hova just for a bit of choice.

Finally... the Jazz wars have begun. :D

The face sculpt looks a bit weird, like, his jawline is too narrow. Hard to be sure with the image quality though.

Qingtianzhu said that they have ordered the magazine, so they should have a proper scan of the page up in the next few days. Or TW might just post the images online.


In regards to Jazz, while it looks awesome I would prefer a G1 version.

What do you mean? :confused: Looks G1 to me.

You are right... for some reason I was thinking of the IDW style not Jazz... lol

I should mean to say that I am happy to wait for the Takara offical version :p

I'm hoping this is just the opening skirmish in the Jazz wars, I mean the toy looks fine so far, but I'd really like to see MMC or Badcubes take on him.

I wonder if there will also be a Springer war?

Bring on the Jazz wars, though based on recent events this tells me we aren't far away from seeing a Takara Jazz:D

I like the IDW style J4ZZ except for the colours, I much prefer black to the muted dark blue they appear to be using in the robot structure.

I think unless something really blows me away, I'll wait for the Takara MP, they've been hitting it out of the park lately.
