Other than the fact that this is a Hasbro release (notice the "21steps" in the middle that Hasbro have on their Platinum releases?).....why is it bad? Other than your own personal feelings, that is.

Some Hasbro Asia releases like Horse Optimus Prime or Goat Soundwave I can ignore. Black box releases like Gold Megatron are more difficult.

None of the local stores (for me) that normally have these Asia Exclusive pre-orders have this available yet, but if it comes in at around the Robot Kingdom price (which is normally more expensive than local stores as RK target international not local markets) then I think this will be what my husband gives me for Christmas this year. ;)

The YOT [insert animal here] line is different to these Asia exclusives.
The Asia exclusives can be hard to source even here in Hong Kong as not every store has access to them so I'd be very shocked if a department store like Myers was able to get this. Did they get Ultimate Edition Optimus Prime or the Barricade/Shockwave set?

Toys'R'Us HK, for example, get the YOT line but not the Asia Exclusives sets.

From what we have seen so far it looks to be in the same style as YOTG MP Soundwave. I'd love it to be the Takara MP style but it doesn't look likely.

I dig the shot of MP-10B with the trailer.

And as for lack of chrome, at least it will wear well. I've already had a bit of chrome wear on MP Ironhide and I've only handled it a couple times.

Maybe is a licensed colour and hence we are stuck with this combination .

For what it's worth maybe a metallic black on the chest may help but hasbro like what they done. Some people are actually saying the Ko looks better.

This is a Hasbro Asia release, not TT. That said, I don't disagree with your sentiment, the colours look too plain in-hand, not as sharp as I was hoping.

While this is Hasbro Asia, i'm quite sure their bean counters are factoring in the costs of raw materials and what the TT factory has on-hand when deciding a deco, particularly given the short turnaround time this figure has from announcement (September) to release date (December).

Got word that any future releases will revert back to silver. There was an acute global shortage of silver but they just need time to melt down Kim Kardashian's jewellery.

Eva prime was not silver and till date the only mp 10 that is well painted. Not cheap plastic looking.

I think the overall looks dull due to unpainted plastic. It doesn't pops as it could be well done.

I quite like the packaging, especially the book style. Curiously though, the "Masterpiece" branding is conspicuously missing from what I can see of the packaging. I wonder if that means future Shattered Glass releases won't necessarily be Masterpiece redeco's?
