Here's some images of the first Animated 2-pack... "The Battle Begins" with Prime (earth mode) and Megatron (Cybertron mode). I think they're both Voyagers... and now all those pics of Prime with 'battle damage' we saw a week or two ago make sense! ;)

:(None of this series makes sense:(, the toys seem to be well enigineered but they are not the direction i wanted to see the Transformers head into:confused:.

I quite like the look of them, although, i don't know squat about the series, the figures look good.

Pretty much the same for me for all the lines. My knowledge of most of the Armada, Energon and Cybertron lines stem purely from their cardbacks... if I actually remember them after reading.

Hopefully we will know if the 2 pack is heading to our shore before we all go out and buy the figures individually. We get ripped off far less with the two packs.

Battle Damage is very "symbiote" like.

Looks deluxe.

I'm pretty sure they're voyager sizes. I think they're just repaints, according to tformers' database (2nd and 4th from the bottom) anyway...

Thanatos: when I first read that, I thought you were suggesting that Prime should transform into a cicada. :p

Well I think it's safe to say that the 2 pack figures will be Deluxes

Gallery of 2 pack Megatron (http://www.actoys.net/bbs/read.php?tid-242273.html). Also has comparative pics to Voyager Megatron.

You're right! Well, there you go... So that means they're making 3 different versions of both Megatron and Optimus?

Actually, for what it's worth, I think that apart from the "battle damage" that deluxe version of Megatron looks better. For starters, the sculpt is more cartoon accurate, as are the colours, and the alt mode looks better, not to mention more like the cartoon. Plus there's less kibble on his back...

Alt mode (DLX version has the 'longer nose' like the cartoon, but still not 100% accurate)

Overall, I'm impressed! :)

IMO the battle damage looks crappy. I wanna get clean versions!

The battle damage looks wierd, but boy the sculpt is better than the clean Voyager version. The Voyager looks far more badly proprtioned and seems like it may have suffered from hasbro adding lame gimmicks.

Damn you hasbro, now If i want an animated Megatron I have to chose between an inferior mould or inferior paintjob, bah!!! Bah I say!!!

Perhaps Takara will give us the superior mould with superior paint job?
