Finally Fortress Maximus IS arrived with Master Sword!

The Sound effect was so cool with the theme song of Japanese "The Transformers: Headmasters".

Yes, the legs no longer open up.
It doesn't look like glue, like heat the plastic and attach together!

it's glued, a lot of collectors in HK got them open after lots of heat (hair dryer) and lots of forcing.... kinda do it at your own risk scenario

I got this a few days ago, and must say I am really underwhelmed by it.
While the robot mode looks good, no effort was put into the 'alt' mode at all. All the play features from Metroplex have been removed, and none of the play features from the G1 toy were incorporated.
This is one of the rare instances of the G1 toy being better than the update.

Glad I decided to pass. The hasbro one was the one that made my decision easier.

I have heard that the takara version is made of better materials so it is much heavier than the hasbro version. The joints are more tight as well. Not sure if it is true?:confused:

quite possibly just unconscious justification for the extra price there?

I'm still waiting for mine, but got a good price at PC with a $65 points code, so 'm happy with what I paid

A long as it's not going to a PO Box, they've stated they can't deliver to them and need a physical address

Where did you order yours? from PC? They've been out-of-stock for quite a while a think...I was wondering how much the LG31 cost (plus shipment cost) from PC initially?

When did you place your order? Still haven't received? I knew there was a pre-order for LG31 but clearly I missed it. $240 including postage is a very good deal mate...I have been trying to contact PC to see if they would restock LG31 but no one answers my question...

Did PC provide a reason for not posting LG-31 Fort Max to an AusPost parcel locker? Why does it need to be a 'physical address'?

Interesting. That's Auspost's own courier, so they can used Parcel Lockers etc, ah well, just got an email saying it'll ship next week, my next post in this thread will be a review

Just as I was about to head upstairs for a nap before a work function, there's a knock on my door.

Fort Max had arrived.

This guy is big. Chunkier than Metroplex, but a little bland before the stickers are added. Knowing not to expect masterpiece level quality, I'm satisfied overall. Will post a more detailed review when I've had time to play
