I reserve QTs for when I am overseas, they are very common in Singapore and Japan so great little pickups :)
I picked up Soundwave recently, the R35 GTR looks great QTified but I still feel the best QT remains Sunstreaker with his FD3S RX7 alt mode.

Started the year off with a chunky but hunky Starcream courtesy of board member Kazza. Good thing I also received MP Inferno from PC today to help cool down that ego. Also a couple of late Dec additions with good olde Gnaw finally making an appearance in Melbourne. Also found that legends Bee is triple changer and a very useful CD stand at that. Holds up real well a recently acquired 86 movie soundtrack featuring the smooth vocal stylings of Stan.

Got my LG super ginrai from ami ami yesterday, now I cant wait for god bomber.

Finally opened all my LG headmasters too after I got walgreens brainstorm last week, I'm particular about my aesthetic, got highbrow during the target price mixup but sold him off last week... wish I'd opened the LG one first to compare, the much lighter colour really stands out when the 4 autobot headmasters are together.

United Coneheads and loose Henkei Sunstreaker. Saw a $60 sealed henkei Astrotrain but decided against it for no particular reason. Looking at my classics checklist, Astrotrain and Shockwave (though Foc is in atm) are all I need for '85 Decepticons (with toys).

Haven't gotten home yet but they look great in the box already. I was originally looking for the Autobot set (no luck), but two places ended up having the Decepticon set, to my dismay (already have a Galvatron). This was a good second priority though, considering they're a big hole in my classics.

Turns out one of the wings on this Airwave is seized so I need another Airwave, Skyhopper, Countdown, Blackout, Spaceshot and Pipeline (I have Gusher).
I've been on these last half dozen for a while, just waiting until one turns up without the accessories.
I' could have bought them with their playsets a few times but there is usually someone who wants the whole lot so its better if they get them. I am a patient man.

Nice.:) Pity Goldie discontinued the line as some of the figures were excellent and low cost chibi interpretations of the G1 characters. My favourites were Shockwave, Magnus and Grimlock.

I've been back in Japan for about a week, have been pretty busy (sorry Tetsuwan Convoy, I'll try and see you soon!) but so far I've managed to score...

Update: The test shot didn't properly transform so I carefully took it apart, alongside my regular release copy of the figure, to discover an interesting anomaly about the test shot. I don't know how many of these were produced or if they all suffered from the same production problem, but the large cog on the inside of one of his legs has a slot which is meant to be slid into a notch on the inner edge of that leg. It looks like the metal bar holding the cog in the wheel was inserted through the legs and large cog, without checking if the wheel had been placed in the leg in a manner so that the notch slid into the slot. As a result, the auto-roll gimmick doesn't work on the proto.

Ordinarily I'd be disappointed as an error like that, however given the nature of the piece, it feels more like the kind of toy error where the wrong figure is packed in the wrong card.

Very happy indeed.

Edit: Actually I take that back - I'm not just happy; I'm highly entertained.

It turns out that this particular test shot was meant to be submitted for Quality Assurance and it wasn't even properly assembled. Ah Hasbro - oh how you make us laugh. :D
