Seems to be so, the 8 prequel comics (set before the movie) look to be all in the one (rather small) tpb.

Not yet, looking at a late December (possibly the 24th of December?) release for the G1 mtmte #2.

No, they are different. The UK ones focus on individual characters before the movie. The US one was a more general telling of what happened on Cybertron and how the Transformers came to Earth.
