With some recent items being short-sent by Hasbro, they probably didn't want to risk taking pre-orders on items that they knew were going to be really limited, and then having to cancel more orders, upsetting even more customers.

I ordered in stock Siege Jetfire on Nov 29, no updates since. Emailed a day or so ago to make sure no issues, both seeing as no update but also the figure has been completely removed from their site (as opposed to just changing to out of stock).

Update: Not a good first experience using OMP. Got an email back from them today, looks like they had stuffed up my order and it had been missed somehow which they apologised for, mentioned they only had 1 left in stock but with some damage to the box and asked if I was still interested.

I replied and said given it's damaged and 2 weeks delayed I'd only be happy to proceed if they were prepared to provide a discount, otherwise would prefer a refund. Got a refund straight away - no interest in discounting.

But....I'm now $10 out of pocket. I was charged at a $0.95 AUD to 1 SGD conversion at purchase ($180aud), but was then refunded at a rate of $0.99c SGD to 1 AUD ($169aud). What a rip. I replied to inform them of this and kindly requested the difference but haven't heard back.

It's an odd situation, seems extremely dodgy on paypals part, and understandably as far as OMP are concerned they received $170sgd and refunded 170sgd, but given I'm only in this situation because they stuffed up and weren't prepared to make any accommodations, imo it'd be poor form to leave a customer worse off for having attempted to deal with them. I'd at least consider buying from them again in future if it gets resolved without me having to go through a likely fruitless exercise in getting on the phone to paypal...

Yea, don't use PayPal's conversion rate, learnt that the hard way. Always try to use your credit/debit card's conversion rate, because it'll be closer to the actual rate, if you can.

I completely understand your annoyance regarding the refund but you unfortunately gave them the easy way out by saying you'd take the refund in your reply.

Hope you're able to find a Jetfire elsewhere.

This is the gamble we take any time we purchase items in a different currency. The dollar fluctuates on a daily basis, it's really good against the SG $ this week. good for some and not others. The same could just as easily happen purchasing from any other international online store.

Very disappointed with how OMP have handled this though - I only ended up in this situation because they stuffed up my order and had no interest in making even the slightest concession for the delay + having only an item with damage to send me as a result. And they've ignored my email informing them I've been left out of pocket.

I prepaid for the Micromasters but haven't heard a word about them. I did send them a message through their website, but that tends to be a bit hit and miss.

I also prepaid Sandstorm and G2 Megatron, and they were sent out together sometime last week.

Hi Everyone,

1) Optimus & Soundwave / Ironhide & Prowl are not released yet (also subject to stock cut, will only know when released)

2) Netflix Bumblebee will be arriving in 2 batches, still pending 2nd batch (Nov) to confirm the cut.

3) Think we missed out on sending the stock-cut notification for those who ordered with other items, will deduct the balance off from the other items when they arrive.

4) There have been some changes to Paypal recently, resulting in some paypal notifications not being sent via email, duplicate notifications, wrong currencies received and basically making processing abit more difficult for us.
Do let us know if there's any issues you've faced.

5) There's also seems to be some changes to Hasbro distribution based on our own experience.
Stocks which were previously quite abundant are now seeing cuts.
Also, by territory, there's also an increasing time lag between the release dates of regular releases (i.e. Scorponok).
While we don't expect cuts for these, if you rather not wait longer for them, do let us know and we can refund accordingly.

6) We are still increasing headcount to meet with the load but it's taking some time to find the right people.
We have a good problem (Work > manpower) but it's still a problem which we need to address quickly.
We have not re-opened our Store for walk-in (even though we are now allowed to) partly so that we can get the shipments out as quickly as we can.

The listing for it no longer appears on OMP's site.
On the 21st December I emailed to ask about it, but to date I've received no response.
The pre-order does still appear in my account, so I'm assuming it's still good, but I was beginning to worry (glad I found this post by OMP).
Have others received any notifications regarding Scorponok?

Mine just came through. I was actually glad for the short delay on this because I've had too many Transformers packages arrive in the last few weeks, drawing too much heat from the Mrs! Think I might see if they can hold off shipment for a week or two. ;):D

Edit: Just received an email from them, they've added another SGD 20 for shipping due to higher shipping rates. At least the currency has improved a lot since I ordered to offset this.

If there's anything missing from it then it's a QC issue from Takara. They asked my permission to send it unopened in the Takara shipping box without applying any extra packing to get it under the weight limit.

Since I recycle all my TF boxes I really don't care if the box is pristine or not when it turns up.

They spent a lot of time advertising here for free, but then wouldn't respond to people here... and after I gave them a temporary suspension of their free advertising here, just to get their attention to the growing complaints from various members here, they stopped posting here... and if they are intentionally ignoring Australians as retaliation, that would be disappointing, considering how good they have been in the past.

That?s a real shame that others have been experiencing issues. I just received a refund on my G2 Sandstorm, as they noted that they haven?t heard back from their supplier and are reluctantly cancelling preorders. Now while I?m a tad disappointed, its something I was able to easily source elsewhere (e.g. Amazon.com.au).

And I?m very thrilled with my Volcanicus preorder: substantially cheaper than it would have been through Zing.

Update: So, the good news is I got a response; the bad news is I still don't have ER Scorponok.

Back on 5 Jan, Dennis from OMP said the pre-orders were arriving in batches, and they were still waiting for the rest to be shipped to them. He apologised for the delay and offered a refund (I declined because I want Scorpy, and he seems to be sold out everywhere).

I messaged again on 2 April. He said they'd received no new batches since January. What he has gathered is that Hasbro China is holding back stocks to their suppliers due to parallel import issues(???)

The annoying thing for me is that there was a reissue of ER Scorpy, but that too seems to have sold out in most places. I just don't know if I should cancel my pre-order, bank the refund, and cop the aftermarket price hit, or sit tight and simply hope that I eventually get what I paid for.

(Meanwhile, I pre-ordered the DNA Design upgrade kits for Scorps from another supplier; at this rate, I'll have them before I have the figure they're meant for!)
