An image of a black redeco of the Titans Return Leader PM Optimus toy has surfaced from China (http://news.tfw2005.com/2017/06/03/tokyo-toy-show-2017-black-convoy-hand-images-340443), sporting a Primitives Skateboarding logo... which is a company in America that sells skateboards, gear and clothing (https://primitiveskate.com/pages/faq).
An unusual source for a commissioned store exclusive, but considering there have been Linkin Park and Nike exclusives in recent years, and the history of BAPE clothing exclusive toys, this probably isn't that unusual.
But like those other obscure exclusives, this will probably be difficult and/or expensive to obtain outside of America.

At first I wasn't gonna check this thread out, coz I don't care much about skateboarding. Then I saw the picture, and a black PM Prime would be awesome. Wonder if they will do that for a proper release, and a Burning Convoy too. Damn I want them haha

Another PM OP variant to the list.
The pain is real.

So far this is an easy pass for me as it will probably be way over priced and it looks like it's essentially just a PM OP dipped in black paint.
If I do end up getting the Ginrai/GB combo in some form I'll have a spare PM OP so I can easily just dip it in a bucket of black paint for a similar effect to this lol

Where are PMOP's other two weapons? Or have they been left out as a cost cutting measure?

I don't know if it should be applauded for having a sk8r name, or be facepalmed for being an official Transformers name now... like, forever dude.

Official details and images have now been released (http://news.tfw2005.com/2017/06/20/special-edition-primitive-skateboarding-optimus-prime-342234), and not only does it have the radical sk8er name of Shreddicus Maximus for the Titanmaster, but this exclusive toy will come packed with two skate ramps, a skate rail, and a hoverboard/skateboard for the Titanmaster.
The bad news is that it will be one of the exclusive toys at SDCC next month from Hasbro, for US$50... but then again, that might actually make it easier to obtain than if it was being sold through the skateboard company itself, because SDCC toys are usually fairly common or easy to obtain through the secondary market, and if they don't sell out, they will be available from the HasbroToyShop website (if you or a friend can buy from there through a shipping agent).

and a hoverboard/skateboard for the Titanmaster.
It resembles Daniel's board from TFTM. Too bad it's the wrong color and probably too big for the MP Daniel figure.

I don't do black repaints but the colouring on that looks pretty good, especially in robot mode. The skate ramp and board for the titan master is a great accessory. Not for me but if I was into skating I'd be all over this.

Thanks to Hasbro Australia, who sent me a Primitive Skateboarding Optimus last month, in return for helping them do a Transformers toy commercial
earlier this year. Despite that, I still want to do a quick photo review for the fans, just so that I can make sure that I definitely earn this toy.
As noted in a previous post, this will be an exclusive at SDCC next week, for US$50.
Considering the regular retail price of Leader Class Generations toys are currently US$45, this is probably one of the best value SDCC Transformers
toys, for only being $5 more, but having a fancy display box and extra accessories.
Since it is partnering with an actual American skateboarding business, I would be surprised if it shows up in other countries (some SDCC exclusives
do, particularly in Asia, and occasionally in Australia - the last one showing up here was Devastator from the 2013 SDCC).
The box - very nice in black and gold... and the watermark effect on the front and back is actually embossed (textured to the touch), which is also a very nice touch.
The black eyes makes me think of the dead Optimus in the 1980s cartoon (post-movie episodes), and I think the eyes should have been done in grey or gold.

.
http://www.toycollectors.com.au/news/2017/071302.jpg
The toy is also black and gold, but under bright light (and camera flash), it looks more like the colour of dark chocolate.
A flip-lid, like you get with several past SDCC exclusives and the Japanese Combiner boxsets. The writing inside the lid is the bio for this toy.
The contents inside the box is the black and gold Leader Class Titans Return Optimus Prime toy, with the regular four weapons and Titanmaster,
plus two ramps, a skate rail, and a hoverboard. Those four extra items all appear to be newly created for this exclusive SDCC set, as they combine
to form a gun for the robot mode of Optimus, and attach to the other two modes in specific ways.
(one of the ramps had come loose in the box)

The tray of toy and accessories. With Optimus packaged in robot mode and the Titanmaster (Shreddicus Maximus) on the hoverboard, the head of
Optimus looks eerie with nothing inside the helmet.

The instruction sheet.
The descriptions listed with the "trick names" on the back don't make much sense, as they don't seem to describe skater actions or tricks.

The skate ramps and rail.

Truck mode, with the two Japanese toys from above (Super Ginrai and Black Convoy).
http://www.toycollectors.com.au/news/2017/071317.jpg
And with the regular Titans Return Optimus (with the Hasbro Asia stickers flaking off a little in some parts).
http://www.toycollectors.com.au/news/2017/071318.jpg
Another place for the skate accessories is to plug them onto the top of the truck mode, to turn Optimus into a mobile skate park, complete with half-pipe.
http://www.toycollectors.com.au/news/2017/071319.jpg
.
http://www.toycollectors.com.au/news/2017/071320.jpg
And the third mode, the base mode, the ramps and skate rail plug into the holes near the trailer wheels, to make it look more like a skate park, but
the ramps just end up hovering in the air.
Which is fine for a hoverboard, but not for a skateboard with wheels on it.
http://www.toycollectors.com.au/news/2017/071321.jpg
Speaking of skateboards... looks like word of this new skate-park on Cybertron has spread, and a couple have shown up to see if they can drop
in and do some tricks.
Actionmaster Jazz said that he and his turbo-board were too cool for this Primitive skate-park.
http://www.toycollectors.com.au/news/2017/071322.jpg
That's all for now.
Is there anything else I should photograph of this toy, or with something else?

I haven't actually tried to combine those two JP toys, but if Godbomber can't combine to the Hasbro Powermaster Optimus, then this would be the same, as this is indeed the Hasbro mould.

Armada Grindor and the green Universe recolour.
I wanted other Transformers skateboards in the skate-park photo and that was the only one I could think of (I wish I had the Japanse X-Dimension redeco too).
I only remembered the Actionmaster Jazz skateboard after I took that photo... and totally forgot about the Beast Wars Transmetal Optimus hoverboard. Then again, those two would have been significantly out of scale.

That really is an impressive showcase of photos Griffin, and I suspect will help ship a whole lot of sets. Being able to turn it into a mobile skate pakrk or half pipe really distinguishes it from the original mood and highlights the extra accessories. I will definitely pick up if it's affordable to track down

I was really surprised at how much people are really suddenly wanting this figure, just because of my photos of what the accessories can do. I didn't think there would be much interest after last week's set of photos from someone in Asia, but I guess they had a loose sample, so didn't know about the extra things you can do with the accessories from the instructions.
Looking on three American fansites and a facebook page that posted up the images, there are so many people now who are coming out to say that they now want this toy, but were previously on the fence or put off by it just being a mostly black Optimus.
I think Hasbro America might be happy about the increased interest, in what was looking like being a "shelfwarmer" for them (there wasn't a lot of people in those fansite news topics definitely planning to buy this toy prior to my photos)... but unfortunately for non-American fans (and I'm sorry about this), it might end up driving up the price on the secondary market if this does sell out or look to be popular to online dealers.

That person appears has lots of videos posted up, but they all seem to be copying other people's videos or photos.
I wanted to report it to youtube, but their reporting page discourages frivolous reporting of copyright, and their definitions of copyright doesn't seem to include photos... so I just asked the person to either credit the source or remove the video.

I have to say, at first I was disappointed this was did not turn into a skateboard. I really thought it was going to be like a caveman type robot that... yeah. Well, I'm an idiot. But the extra pieces for this is kind of cool. If I see this around for a good price in the future I think I'll pick it.
