Just wondering if anyones partners have ever had any interest in Transforming aka playing with you TF's?
I ask as mine does tranform a lot of my new ones fresh from the box with the instructions.
But right now is doing Classics Ramjet for the first time without instructions and is very proud of herself.

when i got octane/tankor she transformed it first, then i had to transform it into one of the other modes for her :p
shes and engineering student to, so she should be good at it :P
sadly though, she doesnt share the same passion i have for them :(

She thought they were cool & luved fiddling with them (but she couldn't understand my interest in "those really old ones" :D).
I, on the otherhand, had no interest in playing with her stuffed animal collection at all... (She could never understand my lack of interest in them :D)

Wow Warp! She's a keeper!
Mine OCCASIONALLY will have a stab at one, but typically she just makes mental notes of each one so she can tell when I've silently acquired a new one ("I haven't seen that one before..."). That and she gives each one a quick review, e.g.:
"I like that one."
"That one's a bit unnecessary"

my missus transformed Punch/Counterpunch, Springer and Grimlock in one breath. She wasn't very good at placing their weapons on them.
She definitely knows which are the valuable ones to 'liquidate' should we ever 'need the money'- MIB C-114 Fort Max, MIB Scorponok and MIB Overlord are dead centre in her sights. hahaha...

Every time I get a new TF my wife's first question is "how much?" :p (she's an ex-accountant which might explain why)
She likes looking but isn't really all that interested in fiddling or playing. During our earlier days of marriage she would sometimes move a TF from one shelf to another to see if I would notice... and I would. I'd walk into my TF room, spot the misplaced TF, then put it back on its original shelf. At first it was because she'd knock one down while cleaning the room and unsure where it came from just put it back on any shelf. After a while she'd try it on purpose, but I'd still catch her out. So now she doesn't try (that and the fact that I clean my own TF room now too - now that we're living in a 2-storey house she doesn't like dragging the vacuum cleaner upstairs so I get delegated with vacuuming upstairs :p).
She used to find it really strange when she would catch me playing with my toys, i.e.: she could hear me making noises and doing voices from downstairs, and occasionally walk in on me playing (NOOO!). She'd be like, "what are you doing!?" But she's used to the sight of a grown man (her husband no less) playing with toys now. :D Sometimes she sits in the TF room while I play and she'll read a book or something. Ehehehe. She was doing some study and listening to classical music in my TF room yesterday when I took those Beast Wars Volcano Base action shots. :p There's some irony and coolness to posing BW toys while listening to the Swan Lake theme (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzpqM4THqZ8). :)

My missus does the same . Only she takes them completely and hides them somewhere, usually her bag. And then she asks me which on is missing, although she usually just takes a mini-con so I can just check all the teams and partners are there.
She also doesn't like it when I get new ones. It is always "how much did you spend?" and then she scolds me...
She does like playing with them though, just trying to transform them back and forth. She isn't to bad at figuring it out, even without a reference too. But that is as close as she will get to them.

My wife doesn't do that, but she does the next most scary thing- she continually offers to buy me any Transformer I want and she asks which is the most valuable and hardest to obtain.
I'm not about to take her up on her offer because I believe these are my Transformers and I want to be buying them myself. So I told her that she shouldn't buy me any Transformers just in case she mistakenly buys me one that I already have and that would be a waste of money, heh.

:)My wife used to keep hassling me to play with Fort Max "Sorry but that is a MAN only toy" I would say, then i would wake up the next morning with new bruises:p:D. She did think my Optimus Prime helmet was cool but the dogs go berko when someone is wearing it so that is now in retirement:D.

My ex was (probably still is) a transfan.... however she used to mildly disapprove of me spending money on TFs. The silly part was we didn't have anything even remotely resembling shared finances.

My missus is pretty good with it all, I'll get a look or a small complaint when I go and get a heap of figures all at once, but she also understands that I mostly only buy in groups to maximise savings at sales. Most of the complaints come when I buy figures around Christmas and birthday times, which is fair enough.
Then on the flip side she encourages me to buy figures when they are not on sale, or when I am not sure I want it, and even buys me figures (and lately lots of TF shirts) for no good reason.
She has begun to threaten me with melting of particular figures when I annoy her too much, but I know she never will, as it means that I then ahve tog et a replacement figure! :D

My boyfriend would look over and take a glance because it's once in a blue moon that I actually DO open a TF (there are all behind plastic prison!!! hahaha :D) and if the figure interests him, he will pick it up and have a look and that's about it until I BUG him. :p
I will try and transform the TF figure myself. If my patience gets the better of me, I then chuck it to him and ask him to do the transforming (he's the more patient one in the r/s). :o So far Ultimate Bumbee and MP-nono are the longest and hardest to transform. Took us about 30 mins to an hour.

I've forgotten how to Transform heaps of my TFs! That's nothing to be ashamed of! Especially the movie line!
My fiancee will not play with them, partly out of no interest and partly to avoid breaking them. My friends have had a go (I had a transforming competition at my birthday party last year!).

No offence was taken guys, don't worry. I thought something "serious" had happened when dirge called me and asked if I was unhappy with the post. It was actually more of Pulse's "pathetic word" which he felt was discriminating. :p But it's all good...
Can I put in my mum is awesome too? She actually reads catalogues and tells me about toy sales (she's here in OZ for a visit now!) and whenever she sees Transformers she's thinking if I have that or that and should she get it for me. This is when she's back home in Malaysia when out with my dad. :)
