Guys just a quickie,
EMS post is not delivered by your local postman right?
Neither is USPS express mail international correct?
It is my understanding that for international mails, your local postman only delivers first class international and priority mails.
Comments, corrections etc welcom.

In New Zealand its all delivered by New Zealand Post. Other mail companies do not touch.
EDIT: Obviously FexEx parcels are delivered by FedEX. New Zealand Post was brougtht out by DHL, or owns DHL francise ... so those parcels are deleliverd by NZ Post.

Express Post International is the USPS term for EMS. It's the exact same thing.
Australia post do handle EMS - although as STL said, a lot of it is done through AAE (which is a joint venture between Australia Post and Qantas, using the resources of both). Whether or not EMS is delivered by your local postie depends on the contracts in the area - some postal delivery areas have contractors who only do regular parcel delivery, in some they do it all.
