This year I'm participating in Movember, growing facial hair to raise money for worthwhile causes.

Anyone else participating? I'm doing it with the guys in my office (which is heavily female dominated so it's kind of a bonding thing). I've never grown my facial hair so I'm a bit nervous how it will turn out but it's all for a good cause :)

I'm thinking of participating. I asked my boss if it would be ok because the company has a clean shaven policy, but she said she would have to ask her superiors.

on a side note, KrispyKreme is also participating, like they did last year, by releasing a movember doughnut where proceeds go to charity

thats funny, i used to work there, and they chuck thousands of donuts out per day. They chuck em out after an hour if they dont sell.

And they get iffy if you want to take more then your 6 free donuts per shift

I've wanted to participate for years now, but I've been told by HR that participating would be against company policy and that I cannot participate this year. However they are looking into relaxing the policy for next year, and perhaps even making an office comp of it in 09.

Probably a good thing, my mo' growing capabilities are nowhere near as good as my amazing beard and sideburn growing skills.

Work area is supportive of this each year so its no prob, prob is me, Im not a hairy kind of dude. :( MOst I can prolly get is a Ming the merciless :p looking moustache, which makes me look silly. Yah know, only long at the edges sparse in the middle like from some old Chinese action flick.
