Deluxe PotP Punch/Counterpunch

This was partly mentioned in the Deluxe-class Repugnus thread (link (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=25104)) however since more details have come to light this probably deserves its own thread.
There is a listing on Amazon (link (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077ZBCPDV)) that originally stated it was for a PotP Counterpunch but we now have more information.

It's is now listed as Transformers Power of the Primes Punch-Counterpunch and Prima Prime with the following details.
The pack is a "Special Edition" Power of the Primes Figure similar to TR Arcee and TR Grotusque.
It includes two figures, a Deluxe Class Punch/Counterpunch figure that can convert between Autobot, Decepticon, and sports car as well as a Prime Master called Prima Prime.
The package also includes 2 accessories which I assume are modern representations of his Twin Mortar Launcher and Photon Cannon.

No pictures as of yet.

But who knows could be a lot sooner based on the fact that they've released pictures of the toy.

It would really surprise me if they make this toy (and Repugnus) very limited and hard to chase up outside of America, because it isn't just a cheap redeco.... they are both either significantly remoulded, or close to a whole new mould, so should need more units produced to pay for it.
(then again, Grotusque was really limited too and hard to acquire outside of America, and it was also a heavy remould)

This, plus the fact that Repugnus has a release date of 1/8, and has had pre-orders come and sell out at Robot Kingdom within days, and no other retailer (that I am aware of) carrying it.

It’s an awesome looking g1 inspired figure but the packaging screams “special edition” to me. Hopefully it won’t tirn out to be a hascon or SDCC or NY toyfair figure (bit late for those announcements of it were, I know.)

I’ve got the club version before that with the Sudeswipe mold so I’ll be doing the same thing.

I used Shopmate to get Arcee and Grotusque from TRU, they overcharged me on shipping compared to over people that ordered the same two figures.

I've heard good things about Shipito though.

They are expected to arrive on different dates so I went with Shipito as they will hold purchases for 90 days and combine different packages into one shipment. Don't take this a recommendation of Shipito as I've never used them personally, but I have heard good things about them so I'm trying them.

Well it could just be Amazon US serves US customers first. I buy a lot of stuff through Amazon US (well until they geoblocked us) and I've always had to wait a few days for Amazon US to ship my orders and charge me. US customers on the other hand receive their orders in as little as 2 hours for some products. This is the first time though I've ever done a preorder through them so I have no idea how quickly it will ship out in that circumstance.

At least if it was back in stock, it should mean that they have covered all pre-orders. (it's out of stock again)

It is their exclusive in America, so it isn't about what they wanted to order from Hasbro (or even be able to order more), but how many units Hasbro had made for them in that single production run... and for Amazon to not presell over that amount. Hasbro won't have more on hand, because they can't sell them to anyone else.

If Amazon had run out of stock, then it either means that Hasbro didn't supply what they had promised to Amazon, or Amazon didn't cut off pre-orders before that allocated amount was reached.



Mine still says that it is "shipping soon"... and I haven't been charged for it either, so who knows what's happening. If they fail to supply to non-Americans on this one, it's not going to be a good start for Amazon Australia, after the MP Ironhide and POTP Nemesis Prime failures.

A tip to everyone. If it hasn't arrived by the date they state (5th oct in my case) email Amazon Australia customer support and tell them it's late and your not happy about it. They should give you a refund on shipping if you paid shipping. Or if you got free shipping via Amazon Prime they should give you some amount of free months of Amazon Prime.

i-Parcel is a USPS service. I googled it and checked as my Amazon address is a PO Box.

Especially after the should repair mod, thought I could brute force him into place but nope transformed as it should once I flipped the shoulder pegs.

Best part of him is articulation since the legs move both ways but you get a sense of "isn't this gonna topple over" because of the...lack of actual feet, other than that he's great, just wish the HFG with him actually did something and not just act as a storage compartment for the prime master

Got mine last night which was a nice surprise. Supposed to have arrived on the 30th.

I like the box within a box to keep it all nice and minty.

Opened him up, fixed the shoulders and checked out the modes.

Like the bot mode, like the con mode a bit better and while I like the alt mode.... maaan, is the hood of the car (bonnet and robot shoulderpads) stupidly fiddly to get him into his alt mode. Is there a trick to it? The instructions make it look like it just snaps in. I would have spent a good 5-10 mins just playing around with that part alone.

Other than that, I'm really happy with him as a figure. He's a great update.
