This is for NON EBAY GOODS

Notice how when using paypal, you are offered a selection of choices when sending payment

goods
ebay item
and some others (can't remember)

Now, if you selected goods, and sent payment. Are you still protected by paypal's buyer protection program?

I'd like to know my options in case I got frauded for a private transformer sale.

The payment was made from my paypal balance, i.e. not from a credit card or echeque

Any help would be appreciated.

I think so but send the question off to Paypal and you should get a more informed response within 24 hours.
