View Full Version : Prime 1 Studio Optimus Primal

I have collected statues in the past, I have the complete set f Hard Hero busts, which I like. After seeing the Prime 1 Beast Wars Megatron I decided to pre-order it. Me being me, I can't have BW Megatron without Primal so I decided to put it on a payment plan and order it.

Primal Arrived last week and he was heavy, 27kg heavy. It did come in pieces which I had to assemble. The sockets are magnetised which means it slots in very well. The only issue I had was putting Waspinators tendrils into place

The detail in this statue is amazing from the different heads to the texture of Primals fur. He is huge, much bigger than what I was anticipating.

I am simply impressed by this statue, and I can't wait to have Megatron right by his side.

I was about to post Trukk not Munky but that's darn awesome and frankly I'm a bit scared of it to do so...

Its pretty amazing, the pictures don't do it enough justice

And the pics are already stunning! What an awesome detailed piece. Congrats!
If he looks this good in standard lighting have you considered setting up custom lights for him and Megs?

I am not really a Beast Wars fan although I did watch it as a kid but that looks fantastic.

That is very big, and very nicely detailed. It must have cost a lot to buy and ship.

I put it on a payment plan, so wasn't too bad.

What stung me was the import tax and GST... :rolleyes:

Looks fantastic and I really appreciate the detail.
If you don't mind me asking...
how much was the import tax?
I'm thinking of something similar down the track but if the added charges amount to too much, I might just have to reconsider...

Yeah its massive :D

The import tax was about $370... I am expecting $400 when I get Megatron

I just stumbled upon the site in my search for other things.
Yeah... less hassle and taxes to get your statues locally :)

It's stunning, humongous and massively detailed. I've never collected Beast wars, but if I did, and could afford it, this would make an excellent collection centrepiece.

So you have any specific plans for it, other than stopping your house blow away in a freak cyclone?

If you or anybody is in Nth Geelong you should definitely go into the Popcultcha Collector Gallery in Federal Mills market. It is amazing. I could have spent hours in there looking at all the finer details of the figures.
I was there last week for work and didn't know it was there till I saw the sign. Bonus for work travel.

Having seen many a Prime 1 figure up close I know for a fact they are always things of beauty to behold and even the monkey is testament to that! He looks stunning!

Mind you I'm boggling at the price of them here... almost double what I would have paid in HK and now regretting not pulling the trigger and getting a couple before I moved back... ah well. Live and learn I guess.

Wow. Somebody bought one!
I went to a toy fair where they had a whole bunch of these lined up. It was mostly full of movie characters, so the colours weren't all that impressive. But Primal and BW megs certainly were.

They were all huge and look great. But the price and the size just seemed too much.
But damn! They are super nice .

I think some have light up eyes and stuff as well.

Not really sure what I am going to do, It is way to big and heavy for the ikea cases.
