BigW super sale for Transformers Titans Return (July 5-18)

This for me is bittersweet. I've wanted a Seaspray and Cosmos for the longest time and had given up on the prospect of seeing them on retail. I'd love to get my hands on them for $5. Problem is, if I go hunting for them tomorrow they might now be on shelves yet, if I wait, they might be sold out. I could order them online, but the figures are chosen at random, and there's a risk that they might just give me another Brawn or Roadburn that had been peg-warning since last year. First world problems eh? :p

Doncaster said they have another big delivery on the 4th. Eastland had dismantled two cardboard squares in the main aisle so they may be replacing one with a TF one overnight.

Would be cool. Seems anything is possible at this point. Mountains of Seaspray, Cosmos, Blitzwing and Octane, TR Ramhorn showing up. Would be cool, just have to wait and see. Though Ollies in the US have mountains of him for dirt cheap

Unfortunately, Overlord is not expected to make it to Australia, so is unlikely to be found at this sale.
Disclaimer - this was it's status at the beginning of the year... there is always a RARE possibility of Australia having old stock dumped here cheap if the US or Asia can't sell theirs. But don't hold out expecting it to come here if you can find a foreign source, or the Japanese version which is still in stock at HLJ.

As of this morning Doncaster had one of each legend and Slugslinger. Eastland had two of each legend and two of each leader.

Lilydale has a whole panel at the front door full of the leaders, and a whole panel of legends and deluxes. Probably as much as Robinah.

I was across at Doncaster half an hour ago. They have 10 boxes of Leader class 2 packs and 8 boxes of Legends on a pallet. One of the leader boxes was open and had Blitzwing and Octane.

There are stacks in Macquarie NSW. The usual toy section has the Voyagers (and a single, PotP Grimlock, sadly still at $45).

The Titans Returns toys are at the front of the store, with HEAPS of Legends (Cosmos and Seaspray) by the manned checkouts, and the rest (Voyager Blitzwing and Octone, Deluxe Twinferno, Triggerhappy, Krok) in front of self-service.

I wonder if this is just a batch thing, but yesterday I looked at 7 Octanes and 5 had their insignias about 10-15 degrees to the left. Bit of a shame but for $15 I wouldn't be complaining.

I did notice one Seaspray's foot was torn by the plastic wired used to fix it onto the bubble. Haven't opened mine yet but I guess the plastic is pretty soft/cheap(?).

Perhaps these items were not meant for TrU but i assume this is a flow on effect.

These prices on such a large amount of stock is very rare. BigW stores were not clearing their backroom stock and it wasnt a pricing error. I do think there was a disturbance in the force, and that it most likely runs back to TrU closing.

I imagine the Hasbro warehouse had become overstocked and needs to free up room until it has reduced its import numbers.

Mistakenly gave me 2 x POTP deluxes.. order came out like this (and if anybody wants a Krok or Quake let me know - they are free except for postage).

Alas Tarn is not my inspiration - ToyHax has done a sticker set for the Megatron version of that mold for Tarn, but I'd prefer a painted version.

I was at Auburn NSW on Saturday. Only half a dozen Blitzwing and Octone tucked away in a basket stand near the front of the store. Toy section had a few sad other variants, but nothing else in the whole store.

It’s a shame that I already had all these toys that I paid full price for. But my son picked up a Cosmos he adores and I grabbed a bunch of all the different figures for future birthday and Xmas presents :)
