A friend just showed me this (http://www.google.com/search?q=USD+in+AUD). Neat!

You can specify the amount (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=299+USD+in+AUD&btnG=Search) as well.

I rely on this. I'm sure there's more accurate conversions but when I'm on ebay or BBTS I type that code into my google toolbar whenever I want to know what the AUS price will be. (Except I stopped when the dollar was almost equal)

I was just about to post that haha... I've always just used XE to look up the conversion rates and what-not

I don't remember how I found Xe.com, but I've always used it for converting currency rates.

It seems to be the first one that comes up (http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=currency+converter&meta=) :)

if you just type AUD in google, it will give you the rate in USD

Nice borge! More keystrokes saved!

Another gTip: If you start a search with "define:", you will get a bunch of varying definitions for the word that follows.

you can also use it as a calc, and if you type in "weather melbourne" you get the temp and a 4 day forecast

I knew the dictionary and weather one. It's the currency one i never knew. Nor the synonym, although I doubt I'll use that one. I use AND and OR, minus, quotes, etc. I like using "site:" as well.

another random thing i learnt yesterday (not google related tho), is that on IE, if you click on a link with the scroll wheel, it automatically opens it in a new tab, no need to hold ctrl...
