I saw this advertised this morning via the Ooshies Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ooshiesheadquarters/):

They also advertise Barbie, Justice League, Marvel, Disney, Avengers, DC & Dreamworks Advent Calendars in this particular ad, but I've seen various others such as Care Bears available as well.

At Big W they retail for $35 from what I can figure out, but the calendars available there are on sale currently for $29.

It looks like each calendar comes with 24 Ooshies, 12 of which are exclusive to the calendar.

Not sure whether this means we can expect new Transformers Ooshies blind bags in the future?

That is so fascinating... it certainly beats the "chocolate" advent calendars we've been getting for the last 10 years from Park Avenue.
I don't think I've even seen any Gen1 Ooshies here. The only ones I've ever seen here are the ones that are currently out at places like BigW, which are TFPrime characters (shows how long they've been sitting on them).

If 12 are exclusive to the Advent calendar, where are the other 12 being released?
(all of the ones on the front of the Calendar are Gen1 characters, so I'm guessing all 24 are too)

My son loves the Mash'ems and gets them in his prize bag (for when he's been really good) but has them all now and gets down when he opens one he already has, so these would be great to open up and put in that bag :)

Yeah this was a ‘definite get’. Now a ‘definite pass’ for me now. I’ll just buy the regular assorted packs when (and if) they become available in stores close-ish to me

I wouldn't mind it if the rationale was there. For example, golden lagoon figures, or a clear Mirage (urgh no regular Mirage). Instead you get figures covered in poo.

The red figures in the calendar are solid red, while the figures on the checklist are translucent red so all twelve of those are the exclusives.

I found the 7-packs at my local Big W (Toowoomba QLD) today for $15 each, looks like there must be 12 per case, 3 each of the 4 different available packs as best I can tell (11 in store, one had been purchased):

I like them, I think they're really good quality for what they are, and I'm a sucker for translucent stuff and Contructicons so its win-win for me. Now to hunt down the blind bags, and Crystal Optimus!

I thought that they would be randomly packed 7-packs, but if they are set assortments, having duplicates is really stupid, and annoying for those wanting to complete a set of figures like the Constructicons.
I have the advent calendar, and would have been interested in getting a few of the other characters... but not if it means getting stuck with duplicates (or having to buy heaps of blind bags just for one "rare" figure).


And I didn't realise that there were two types of red figures... it still makes it too similar to be "exclusive" though.

There are four different sets of 7 packs - gives you a complete set of everything plus extra ultra magnus, holo bumblee and 3 of the constructicons plus 4 randoms

As I collect Optimus I'm relieved to have found him without too much expense.
Interesting to know he isn't the unique figure in all the packs. I kind of assumed you'd get the rare Optimus or Megatron...

I still haven't found the Advent calendar yet despite constant searching of the Big W's, K-Marts, Woolworths and Toymates "near" me. Hoping it will be in stock somewhere soon as these little figures are addictively cute!

I’ll be opening mine slowly (in the manner of an Advent calendar) with my boys, who have a Marvel Ooshies and Lego Star Wars ones.

I ended up buying a box of Series 1 Ooshies off ebay with some of the ebay discounts and it arrived today.

The breakdown of the 45 packs were:

2x each rare (16)
4x each common (28)
1x limited edition (1)

plus an extra optimus with the box.

This kind of worked for me as I have one set for me and one for my son.

Packaging seems to by hand as the commons appear to be packed first, with limited edition then rares. My first 15 packs i opened were all rares and the last one was in the middle of the commons. My first 2 packs were skywarp.

Hopefully this helps with the search!

I had bought a pack for Hound... bought another 3 today and scored 2 Crystal Optimus Primes! If I’m understanding the distribution correctly, he’s the most rare of all the multi-character packs. So I’d be looking to sell them or trade them to get pretty much all the ones I don’t have and still want (plain/common).

Saw one of those Primes get snapped up rather quickly for $50 on a BST page. Not worth that in my opinion...

I got the advent calendar for my nephew at Toyworld in chadstone. Target, Myer and Kmart didn't have them. Didn't check Woolworths.

If you have a Woolies with the advent calendars, they might be half price now ($19.50), as advent calendars need to be given before tomorrow, and the store near me had a Dreamworks one on the shelf at half price.

It's purpose once in secondary hands was not the point of me noting it's value (and purpose) to primary Retailers. In terms of retailers, advent calendars expire tomorrow... just like Christmas items are half price on boxing day, and how regular calendars are discounted in the final weeks of the year, and are often really cheap once you get into January. It's purpose is what determines their retail price, not what might be done by a small number of individuals after the items are purchased.
