I've literally only ever seen one, ever, in the wild (which I immediately bought).

If anyone is after a cheap TLK Megs or Hound this may be of use to them. Wave 2 are only ones that I've seen at retail in the last year or that ever seem to get restocked. You can still find them in most stores.

To be fair, TLK Megs is more than worth the full price of admission at voyager RRP, so for $5 it's a no brainer. If I run into a $5 Hound I might not be able to pass it up.

Damn... I never saw Nitro in stores at all (and just one Scorn at a single Target).... so if any of my nearby stores have it looking like that, I'd be stunned.

It probably makes more sense for the prices to be swapped around... but we'll never know, unless BigW issues a correction/retraction for those two items.

If those are the intended prices, the catalogue starts tomorrow (December 13th), so either the prices will change tomorrow just for the sale dates, or, they will be expected to honour the catalogue price if you have it on hand with you. (they don't have to honour it because they can withdraw it from sale, but they wouldn't go to the trouble of withdrawing all of the items... and the price difference of $5 wouldn't be enough to worry about.

Exactly what Paulbot said... it's "new" (re)stock from Hasbro, like the discounted Generations toys a few months back - it would be excess global stock of a discontinued series that has been offloaded for next to nothing (which we would normally see at the Reject Shop or TKMaxx).

The deluxes at the store I just popped into were Drift, the scooter, Steelbane and Slug(?). I don't know, I didn't really follow this line at the time.

Had an interesting convo with a manager at another Big W this evening (not the one I was at earlier). It would seem their store got a huge amount of new toys to sell in a very short period of time, meaning they not only don’t have room for it on the shop floor, and they can’t even get to all the pallets of toys they have out the back, let alone unpacking them all. She was aware of where the TLK deluxes were but not the voyagers, and neither had made it to the shelves yet.

If this pattern is similar at other stores, that *might* mean that scalpers (or frugal shoppers like me!) didn’t necessarily get everything we were hunting for on day one. It may still pay to call (or call in to) your local stores over the next few days and ask about the catalogue items.

bIG w Macquarie has a tonne of deluxes (drift, steelbane, slug, and squeeks), there was one case of voyagers that are now either mine or in my hands for others. there are quite a lot of legends class (Grimlock, bumblebee, megatron and the 3 headed dragon) and a few one steps (cogman, scorn, drift and bumblebee) I grabbed a set of these for the kids to wear out.

Managed to Score a Voyager Optimus (which I had skipped when first released) and Dlx Beserker from Bigw Kuraby yesterday (thanks to wifey -around 9:30am). She said there was only a few more Berserkers in the dlx size and a few optimus. megs. Hound in the Voyager.

Stopped into Garden City on the way home (around 5:30pm) and found no Voyagers (mentioned above all went to mail orders) Saw Stealbane, Squeeks and Slug in Dlx as well as a bunch of 1 steps and legion size (didnt really bother checking what)
