The next chapter of Generations - War For Cybertron Siege - were found yesterday at several Toyworlds in Victoria and South Australia.
We had a couple of sightings posted here in the Victorian sightings topic (at about 11.30am yesterday, Victorian time), and then about 90 minutes later on TFW from a South Australian Toyworld (http://news.tfw2005.com/2019/01/12/war-for-cybertron-siege-wave-1-battlemasters-deluxe-voyager-out-at-australian-retail-380761), with photo proof (mirrored below).
Siege line at Toyworld Watergardens.
Voyager - Optimus, Megatron $50ea
Deluxe - Hound, Sideswipe, Cog, Skytread $35ea
Battle Masters - Firedrive, Lionizer, Blowpipe $10ea
Three sizes have been found so far, with the following prices (Toyworld don't have uniform prices)...
Battle Masters - $10-12
Deluxe - $35-40
Voyagers - $50-55
If you find the Siege toys at other Retailers here, or you see the Micromasters or Leaders, post it here, or in the sightings section.

Was actually kind of hoping these things wouldn’t show up just yet, since I will be travelling overseas at the end of this month and need to save as much money as I can before I go.
That said. I will be going to America. And it may end up being cheaper for me to buy some siege figures while I am over there, than to buy them at Toyworld’s absurd prices.
Gonna be hard to resist buying them for the rest of the month though.

FYI... the Australian RRPs on the Siege toys have been added to the Hasbro product page (https://shop.hasbro.com/en-au/toys-games/?q=((navigation.brand.restName%3Atransformers))).
Battlemaster - $10
Micromaster - $20
Deluxe - $35
Voyager - $50
Leader - $90
The Studio Series toys (Deluxe, Voyager, Leader) have the same RRPs, so we could see similar prices at the other Major Retailers for Siege toys, as to what they price their Studio Series toys at.

Nice work... I've sometimes done the same (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=25167) when I've imported the first wave of a new toyline before we got it here. But I haven't got any of the Siege toys yet, so haven't done the rounds of the retailers to test out the barcodes on their scanners.

I asked at the Canberra Toyworld on Monday and they said they were expecting them this month but had no solid ETA. Mind you, this was an off-the-top-of-the-head answer from a chap who didn't seem terribly interested in the question, so who knows?

They've taken my name down and will call me when they get in, but I'll probably call every day just the same. I really want one of the Primes, a Cog, the Air Strike Patrol and maybe a Flywheels.

I have a prime membership so combined it with a few gifts for my nephew and got free shipping.

That's pretty good pricing though, considering that the Deluxes are boxed instead of on card... and that the US RRP is now up to US$20 (that's almost AU$30, but we are usually about double their price, which is why most places here are now mid-30s to 40 dollars, and it costs more than AU$29 to import them from most US sources).

I'm not surprised if it does cost more to import them, but I feel like they were likely underwhelmed by the sales last year. When they did reduce them to $29, they went at a much quicker pace. I can only guess that they have determined that by only charging 29 they can offset the costs thanks to other products they sell. Of course I admit I don't know a whole lot about retail, But it at least seems plausible to me.

I'm still waiting for the SIEGE major toys of the first wave to come out near where I live.
Big W got the Rescue Micromasters, Pteraxadon and Soundwave's cassettes, but that is it so far.
I searched all the major retailer websites (Big W, Kmart, Target), none of them had a listing for these products.
At the moment, I want Sixgun, Roadhandler and Swindler from wave 1.
I might also get Brunt and Cog.
The single most important item I am looking forward to is Jetfire.
I've always wanted a comic accurate Jetfire toy and he's the only good one I've ever seen.
I'm still undecided about Omega Supreme.
When he was announced, I was quite excited, but then I discovered he was scale incompatible with my collection.
I'm hoping they add a proper Sky Lynx to the SIEGE line at some point.
Ideally a large one who can split into Dinobird and Lynx modes.
The Combiner Wars version was a disappointment because he cannot do this.

Well, that’s the thing I cannot make sense of.
I only have two Combiners so far, Victorion and Volcanicus, but they adhere to a specific scale setting, e.g: the limbs are the same size, and so are the Cores.
All the other toys from the various lines also adhere to this standard, regardless of which line they are from (Robots in Disguise, Takara Tomy Arcee).
So I assumed someone at Hasbro and Takara Tomy was setting official size limits for scaling purposes.
Which makes Siege Omega Supreme and Combiner Wars Devastator the odd ones out, as they aren’t set to this standard.
To be honest, I just think they wanted to charge a Titan class price for Omega Supreme, so scaled him up for that reason only.

Going all Voyager for the Constructicons allowed the to have a Devastator that could double as a poor man's Masterpiece.

Just crazy that wave one is what nobody stocks. That has to be on Hasbro, right? Surely Big W and Target didn't both say "hey Hasbro, send us wave two but we don't care about the launch products".
I don't want to be all "the sky is falling", but it seems like an ominous sign for the future of Transformers at Australian retail.

Six-gun is wave 2. Also yeah I saw a facebook post from an online store about a month ago confirming hasbro weren't bringing wave 1 micromasters to Australia, I grabbed all 3 double packs from a Taiwanese ebay seller for $70 (minus 10% because part of a bigger transaction including novastar, another we missed out on, plus 10% GST).

Nooo, I'd say it's a bit from the Bumblebee movie toys aren't going anywhere column & a little from
the importing and distribution column.
It's no coincidence that none of the big box retailers carried wave 1, but are now slowly starting to receive Wave 2 product in.
Whether the independents like Toymate/World, Mr.Toys Toyworld, HobbyCo etc have a different ordering channel is also worth considering, as they had some success in ordering and selling wave 1 stock.
Just to add re your concerns regarding TF's in Aus retail, the overwhelming response I've seen online for sightings has been positive. People want to be able to walk into their local store and buy product. I'd say we'll be fine.

For so long the trend has been retailers have far too much of wave 1 of a new line and we wonder if wave 2 will appear.
It’s like they took the wrong message from our complaints over the years about shelfwarming wave one toys.

In my local store, I'm seeing a lot of the Bumblebee toys on one side of the display and on the other side, the Cyberverse toys with some of the minitoys of the Siege line (Soundwave's cassettes, Pteraxadon and Rescue Patrol Micromasters).
Could it be they're not going to change the stock until they've sold these items?
If so, it's going to be a long wait, those toys haven't sold in months......

I found some information out about Siege figures at Big W at work today, all this information is publicly accessible by asking your friendly Big W staff to look it up if you want more details.
Seige Battlemasters are $10. We have Wave 2 in-store now.
Siege Micromasters are $19. We have Wave 2 in-store now.
Siege Deluxes are $29. No ETA
Siege Voyagers are $45. No ETA
Big W has changed the item description of Transformers toys in the computer. Older lines started with "TFM GEN" or "TFM MV4" or a similar name. They are now however under "Transformers Generations" for the Siege figures.
Good luck finding these at your local Big W.

I checked the nearby Big W and Kmart, still no stock change.
Could it be possible that they've actually got the Siege toys in the store room, but aren't putting them on display because they can't sell the Bumblebee movie and Cyberverse toys?
Basically, they want to sell every Transformer toy currently on display before giving us the newer toys.

I wouldn't think so. They may not have received them in yet from their distribution center, or they may be a back log of pallets to process.
All they'd need to do is cut back on their existing Bumblebee stock on the salefloor, pack the excess away and utilise the newly made space for Siege.

I wouldn’t get too excited about those just yet.
The non-battle damaged ones are meant to be special edition anniversary things. So they might not even end up getting released here, or be exclusive to an online store or something.
Regardless it is possible that the regular wave 1 versions will get re-packed in later waves

Sort of unrelated I was late to jump on Wave 1 and ended up going through Mighty Ape. I just got an email saying they aren't getting through as many Voyagers as they expected and I am one of the ones who missed out.
I am not angry, but this whole series seems shockingly thin on the ground world wide. When was the last time a Wave 1 ran out?
reillyd
7th April 2019, 06:58 PM
Seems strange if its world wide, but maybe there will be a revision Wave? I certainly know that the Wave 1 Voyagers (Optimus, Megatron) are being released without those awful battle damaged paint apps, though I think I remember reading it was a 35th edition exclusive so we might not get it.
Given that there are larger leader class renditions (CYbertron Prime, and rumoured Master Megatron) maybe they shorted production on the smaller Wave 1's to get to a Starscream and Soundwave?
