I’m confused, isn’t that just the old Cybertron series leader Prime? A fantastic toy, but I thought siege was all new figures?

Multiple people noted that Siege Ultra Magnus has leg cannons like Cybertron Prime. Others noted a new IDW comic cover where the artist drew an Optimus whose chest was more like the Cybertron toy than the Siege figure already released. This image confirms those theories (and that the new figure won’t look like as much an upgrade as say Powermaster Prime).

Fair enough Paulbot but this toy still looks to me like a blurred version of the Cybertron toy, right down to the “extendable” ear flaps on the side of the helmet and the exact same shape for the two cannons.

Might just be me seeing what I think I want to see...

This is a new figure - if you check the shoulders, you'll see that this is a heavily retooled Siege Ultra Magnus.

It's pretty cool to see a new version of Cybertron Optimus, granted the size is a little disappointing. Anyone reckon there'll be some 3rd party Leobreaker/Wing Saber upgrade kits for him?

Armarda was my TV show/toyline growing up but I'd (temporarily, it seems) moved on from TFs by the time Cybertron came around, so orginally it didn't appeal to me... and then seeing those pictures I've fallen in love, what a cool OP combination mode!

That was my first thought as well, but I think this is the first time we ever had an Optimus who is a redeco/retool of Ultra Magnus including both the inner robot, and the armor pieces as well.

Anyways, I can't say I'm in the market for this one. I somehow skipped Cybertron as a whole. Aramada Prime, sure. Energon Prime, maybe at a stretch. But this guy just feels a bit OTT to me, just my own opinion :)

I'm skipping this toy because I don't think it really brings anything new to the table that the original Cybertron OP didn't give us. Cybertron Leader OP is, IMO, one of the best Optimus Prime toys ever made.
