I wonder if you can preorder with either of these companies and then pick-up in store. There is an EB in Mudgee and a Zing in Bathurst so I could get either my wife or my mother-in-law to pick it up. Would be good to save on postage

Just click "collect" during checkout and select what store you want it picked up from and you'll get an email and/or SMS when it's available to pick up.

Well they are owned by the same company so it makes sense, but that's a surprise to see it on eb games which is meant to be just for games, zing is meant for this kinda thing

Yeah but go into any EB games and it seems like half the shelves are filled with pop-culture stuff. Maybe because so many people download games now rather than buy physical copies.

The robot mode is too ‘CHUG’ looking for me. It doesn’t match the 80’s packaging or alt mode style. I’ve bought one but it will stay sealed.

I saw that as well, but since it was giving the option of pre-ordering up to 5 units on the previous screen, I wasn't sure if that meant there was a limit of one per store, or if that was just a default setting.

There is a photo of it being held in car mode here (http://bwtf.com/news/toyfair2019-ectobot-images), and it looks like it is somewhere between Deluxe and Voyager sized (closer to Voyager size I think).
Being a limited edition, new mould (that I doubt would be used again), in special packaging... I think it is a fair amount. At least for us it is only about 60% more than a Retail Voyager here, but to the Americans, it is double the price of a Retail Voyager over there.

Also... considering that it is US$50 in America (about AU$72-75), having it here for AU$80 is pretty good (importing one would be at least AU$100).

If you mean from the click and collect page it shows 1/1 on each of the stores, it means that the 1 item in your cart can be fulfilled at each of the stores. If you have more than one item in your cart then the click and collect will show the number of available items in that store eg. 3/3, 2/3 etc :)

That being said this looks to be very popular so agree best to order soon!

It was listed as June 6th on the pre-order pages (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=26355), which is just three days time... and it has just been released in Canada (https://news.tfw2005.com/2019/06/02/transformers-collaborative-transformers-x-ghostbusters-crossover-ectotron-out-at-canadian-retail-389192).
Hopefully it hasn't been delayed, as I pre-ordered it too, and was looking forward to getting it this week.

There's always hope... and as someone mentioned on our facebook page, the delay is from Hasbro, and could be just a week or two, but they put down September to cover themselves with the worst case scenario.

Heads up, After disappearing from the EB website a few weeks ago and the zing website recently. Ectotron is now showing up on there again. And what?s more, he?s apparently in stock!

Doesn?t look like any stores have any available stock though, but you can order him online for delivery.

Popped into the store where I preordered to ask what was up. Apparently the system says release date was yesterday, but they couldn't see any evidence that it actually exists anywhere. They tried to call head office or the magical EB fairies or whoever to get some real answers, but were on hold for about twenty minutes and said they'd call me after they get through.

Edit: supposedly they are en route to stores as we speak. So hopefully they'll be appearing over the next couple of days.

Rang the Mudgee store and they had phoned their head office today about it. Apparently the bigger capital city stores are getting their stock first, then the smaller regional stores will get theirs. So fingers crossed by early next week I finally have him!

Just opened mine, which I picked up earlier today (came in yesterday). Transformation is a bit more involved than I thought, but still about what I expected. Bit expensive (emphasis on bit) for something closer to a non combining CW voyager but the concept is still really strong, the alt mode is spot-on and I definitely want a Ghost Starscream that scales with it. Don't know if that means voyager or MP/leader but it's definitely on the mind.

Thinking about licensing for a moment, I realise it alone doesn't have the obvious Ghostbuster Branding that Optimus and particularly Ectotron have but if it was packed with something heavier on the Ghostbuster side or just as an unofficial tie-in I'm down.

Go here for EB games stores (https://www.ebgames.com.au/stores/find-stock/251489) (the link is on the product page to search stores) - select WA in the "state" box, and it will give you the remaining WA stores that still have Ectotron at the top of the page (only five stores left in WA as of right now).
If you don't select a state, it will list all stores in Australia, with the ones that still have Ectotron at the top... which is only 16 stores left in the country as of this post.

There is no Zing search link (or product page), as they must have only had pre-orders sent to their stores, with the remaining stock sent to EB stores.

I would have it in a display with the Prime when I get hold of it, the box while it would be nice to display probably won't end up fitting, and a second MISB one, would probably spend it's life in a box for the same reason.

Only one Ectrotron left in Australia at EB games (https://www.ebgames.com.au/stores/find-stock/251489) (at Northlands VIC). Zing no longer has it listed, so I can't see if they still have any at their stores, as some were still seeing them at Zing stores.

That's a great result, and it's no wonder EB/Zing are keen to keep taking on Japanese Transformers exclusives.

(EB Games has it showing as completely sold out now... so if you find one in a store, it mustn't be showing in inventory)
