A bit of insider info about the Big W toy sale this year that hasn't been officially announced yet, but probably will be in the next few days.

*Sale Date: June 20th 2019

*No Siege Omega Supreme or Jetfire, and it's quite possible that the store chain wont stock them in the future either. So sadly no Titan at the toy sale like we had with Devastator and Trypticon.

*Masterpiece Movie Bumblebee and Barricade will be stocked. Probable price $160.

Guess we will have to wait for the official announcement and catalogue before we find out what else will be on offer.

Gah, unless they're getting future siege waves/leaders its basically nothing

Barricade has already been found at a BigW in Sydney (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showpost.php?p=611528&postcount=7714)... so the toy sale stock must already be leaking out to stores two weeks before the sale.

Wow. That’s expensive. Paid $110 for mine about 18 months ago.

Just passing by and saw MPM Barricade and Bee (VW), scanned at $159 each. They are all double taped with some stickers especially the bottom barcode and details.

Maybe there is a "sale" price that's not enabled, akin to when they had the leaders last year

MP Barricade did make it to some TRU stores in the closing days, I got one then, so there wouldn’t be too much overstock would there? There’s a lot more Big W stores than there were TRU.

Well, the cats out of the bag I guess. Yes, expect to see MPM Barricade and MPM VW Bumblebee in stores soon for $159ea.

Also, don't be surprised if your local store doesn't put stock of them on show before the sale starts as they are meant to be held for the sale. I guess some stores have jumped the gun.

I've seen the notes put on the toy boxes and it says only to put in front of store. No dates mentioned. The store I went to this arvo has only one (may be two) staff member putting the stocks which are mainly legos so that is why they are putting it early.

With regards with the MPMs In stock, if they drop it to around $100, may just bite it. (Though i doubt it may be around 130ish)

The full price at ToysRUs last year for MP Barricade was $180 (most people got it for much less during the closing down discounts), so this is $21 cheaper... and it was expected, being BigW compared to TRU.
As such, I don't expect it to be discounted by much on the BigW sale.

So unless they are using old images, looks like no Wave 3 Siege and no Cyberverse Warrior class - typically the two things I am after  Might grab a remote control Bumblebee for my sons birthday though.

Never go by the pictures in the catalogue. It could be any wave. (that's not insider info, I just very often find the pictures unreliable.)

Surprised to see MPM Barricade and Bumblebee at my local store. $159. They’re tempting but I’m not into bayverse I’m strictly G1.

Sure am glad the Transformers shelves have been empty of anything bigger than a targetmaster in months.

If they'll restock for anything it's this sale, but still.

I'd buy a second Seige Sideswipe or finally be tempted by some of the Studio Series I've been eyeing in other stores but I'll be lucky to find the W1 Ratchet that I already picked up at the last Big W mid-year sale.

Some nice prices there. I really hope they get in the newest wave of Siege and Studio Series for this sale too... but I think this will be an opportunity for Hasbro to offload any old stock in the warehouse.
The MP prices are very good - I recommend both at that price (at the very least, Bumblebee).

Wow, if that Cyberverse Optimus with Ark Armour shows up at stores very soon for the sale, it would be a world first... not that it is a spectacular toy, but I guess it might have been the only thing that Hasbro Australia could get for BigW to boast about having as a world first (like they've had in the past for some of the GEN Titans).

(I'll host the images from the catalogue and update the first posting with the details... then spread the news).

112 pages and nothing else Transformers related (that I could see)... not even the Bumblebee Movie DVD or licensed non-toy items (being so soon after a Transformers movie that was aimed at a younger audience that should have seen more licensed items than ever before, a noticeable lack of license non-toy items is surprising, and disappointing, as it means something has gone wrong at the local branch of Hasbro).

My store has some of the Siege Deluxes on the shelf from the sale. Only Wave 2 spotted so far. Looks like Hasbro didn't send out Wave 3 for the sale.:(

So, I frequent a couple of Big W stores. neither has had many deluxes to speak of at all, since the start of the sale, and have now pretty much sold out. Is this some sort of stock shortage? It's a great price, is it just to get people in the door to then buy all the stuff that's not on sale or has someones distribution failed misearably? I bought a Shatter, for 20 bucks I'd rather have the mediocre toy than not. and used their sale to price match at Target.

If I was a conspiracy theorist, I'd be wondering if they had the low sales price to cut into targets profit margins.

Eastland and Doncaster have had jack of anything but half a dozen Studio Series.

Was able to grab a Siege Prowl and Ironhide first, came back for Sixgun, but all the Chromias have paint chipping that is so obvious I dropped it. Hopefully there's some good ones in the last store i haven't checked yet.

I'm almost convinced to grab an MPM Barricade, as im a bit worried about KOs from ebay, but the security cables was too tight on all of 'em it damaged the box :(

Often these sorts of sales have limited stock just to get people in the door, and then probably buy something that isn't as discounted while they are there... which is something that retailers can get into trouble for by the ACCC (it's almost false advertising, for deceiving people into thinking that there will be a decent amount of sale stock, but in reality there was only like one or two units). The other annoying element is that most retailers don't like to price match without calling the nearest store to see if they still have stock... and if you are shopping elsewhere because they had already run out, then the other retailer isn't going to price-match anyway. That's the thing I miss most about TRU - they would price-match to a catalogue without calling up the store. (most of the TRU stores did that)

If anyone is still looking for them, Big W has most of their toysale on their eBay store, and they have MP Barricade and Cyberverse Ark Armor Optimus listed. No other TF products that I could see.

Not so much Transformers but I noted when visiting a store that a ton of stuff that was discounted for the toy sale and then went back up in price (board games, MLPs etc) are now back on the shelves at the discounted price. Obviously stock they still wanna shift but didn’t manage to a few months ago.
