We usually have a Generations mould as one of the SDCC exclusives, so maybe there is still one more to be revealed. Last year also had a Trading Card Game exclusive pack, so there could be another one this year, as it would coincide well with the release of the third series that's supposed to come out soon.

Yep, as I had expected, there is a Trading Card Game pack for SDCC, and as you mentioned, it will be released in other countries. The other SDCC item that they have hinted at is probably an actual SDCC exclusive, like the card pack they had last year.
The box set has 8 character cards and 80 battle cards (https://news.tfw2005.com/2019/06/27/transformers-trading-card-game-comic-con-2019-blaster-vs-soundwave-35th-anniversary-edition-390457)... which is why it has a hefty US$50 price tag (would be about AU$100 if released here).
In addition to the (retro styled) full-sized character cards of Blaster and Soundwave, it comes with half-sized character cards of Steeljaw, Ramhorn, Eject (the blue one), Ravage, Buzzsaw and Frenzy (the blue one)... all with their original toy box art.

An official image of the SDCC exclusive Botbots 10-pack has been released as well (https://news.tfw2005.com/2019/06/27/san-diego-comic-con-2019-exclusive-transformers-botbots-con-crew-10-pack-packaging-images-390483), showing the inside of the flip-open box. Some are moulds that are probably in the third series, so this would be their first official release with this set. One even appears to have a fabric hood over its head, as three of the figures are said to be cosplaying for the convention (one looks like Optimus Prime). These will be US$38.

http://www.toycollectors.com.au/news/2019/062802.jpg

Also from an official SDCC listing is an exclusive Transformers model kit from Flame Toys, of an IDW Optimus coloured as Nemesis Prime (https://news.tfw2005.com/2019/06/27/san-diego-comic-con-2019-exclusive-flame-toys-furai-model-nemesis-prime-idw-version-390501)... priced at US$40.

And of course IDW has an exclusive comic cover (https://news.tfw2005.com/2019/06/27/idws-ghosts-of-cybertron-comic-series-comic-con-2019-exclusive-1-schoening-variant-cover-390487) version for the first issue of the new Ghostbusters mini-series comic... for US$10 (twice the price of a regular issue).

I think the cards with the classic box art look really good.

They won't fit in with the rest of the decks aesthetically and it will be interesting to see what they do for the alt mode on the back... given there were no alt modes on the box art....

I'll still pick up a set :)

Looks like IDW has three SDCC exclusives (https://news.tfw2005.com/2019/07/01/idw-transformers-exclusives-for-san-diego-comic-con-2019-390611) this year - the Ghostbusters exclusive cover comic mentioned earlier, along with an exclusive cover version of the Star Trek Vs Transformers softcover TPB and a signed HC of that recent GIJoe Vs Transformers comic.

So that Blaster v Soundwave set will have modern art outside of SDCC :(

Yep... official images here (https://news.tfw2005.com/2019/07/02/transformers-trading-card-game-convention-and-retail-versions-of-blaster-vs-soundwave-35th-anniversary-edition-390657). The cards appear to have all of the same specs and abilities, but the art on the cards and box is completely different.
That sucks, and it was a lie when it was said that the SDCC set would be released elsewhere... as this isn't the same.

With Hasbro releasing the Spinister wave the other week, the exclusives and these panels, SDCC has become less of a "thing" for Transformer fans.

It will be interesting to see what (if any) new teases are shown.

There is going to be an Omnibots booster pack at SDCC, theoretically at Hasbro Pulse as well. I'm going to need to get them somehow.

Also, PCS has revealed a new print that will be on sale at SDCC and via their Facebook collectors group during SDCC.

This print is a tease as to what their Dev vs Dinos Diorama will look like.

Their upcoming Starscream is 670mm tall. Epic.

I really like the look of that. I'd be tempted to get that version over the toon coloured version. Whereas I had no interest in the clear Prime they offered last year.

Camshaft looks like a new mould, which is cool. Downshift is a Tracks redeco, which shows us the new Tracks mould. The last guy has the body of Jazz a little bit, but maybe it’s just the Prowl body with a new shell?

Nah, they're just new drawings of the original Omnibots. I don't think anything can be taken from these as far as possible toys. Just like the Firecon's, they were unfortunately done just to bump up numbers in character cards.

it would be interesting if they do make new toys of these characters, it is just about time. They haven't been touched since the 80''s as far as I'm aware.

Wizards of the Coast have stated that not all character cards are going to be toys, but they also didn't say they could specifically discount any characters either. . . Maybe not this year but some time in the next few years I'd be unsurprised to see new toys of these guys.

One of my favourites growing up.

Good clean transformation, nice articulation, wings in the arms and guns in the chest - what's not to love!

One of the SDCC exclusives (the Botbots 10-pack) has already been found in Asia, with someone finding one in a toy store in the Philippines (https://news.tfw2005.com/2019/07/18/transformers-botbots-con-crew-10-pack-out-at-retail-in-philippines-391904). (not unusual though, as most SDCC exclusives seem to find their way to Hasbro HK countries like Taiwan in the same month of SDCC.

Overdrive was done as a Binaltech (Honda S2000) and Downshift appeared in Transformers Energon and Cybertron. Although it was really Wheeljack bearing Downshift's name. There was also a Camshaft in Alternators (Honda Integra Type R). I've probably left some out... (checks tfwiki) -- oh, there was a Bayformer and Spychanger called Camshaft (repaints of Jolt and WARS respectively).

Wait... so if they're doing Powerdashers and Omnibots as Generations toys... and they've done Reflector... the only mail-away G1 toy left is... TIME WARRIOR.

Somebody hold me as I'm about to cry.

Not that anyone here has easy access to Hasbro Pulse, but the left-over Transformers SDCC items will be on there at the in the first week of next month (https://news.tfw2005.com/2019/08/13/sdcc-2019-transformers-exclusives-hasbro-pulse-premium-early-access-on-9-3-394560) (apparently they are adding the SDCC items over the next 3-4 weeks, which would be really annoying if you wanted several items and have to keep going back on several different days)... but expect them to sell out before they become visible to the public, as "Pulse Premium" members will get to buy them a day before everyone else, and apparently everyone who joined the site when it launched, has a complimentary membership for the first year, which will cover these items.

Pulse Premium membership is US$50 per year (https://hasbropulse.com/products/hasbro-pulse-premium) ... and what does it get? It gives them free shipping within Continental US (which most of the big online stores do now over there, often without a huge amount spent), exclusive access to promotions & contests, and early-bird access to items like the SDCC left-overs. It sounds like a licensed club membership, but without any specific exclusive elements other than free shipping on all orders (Amazon Prime is a lot cheaper for free shipping over a certain amount... and Australia Post offers a similar scheme with an annual fee to get free shipping from selected partner businesses).

Seems like Ghostbusters Optimus Prime completely sold out on Hasbro Pulse. Would it ever see retail release here?

I was really hoping to get the MP-10G from Pulse when it went live but it looks like they sold out in the day before when it was just available to premium members. I'm quietly hopeful they kept an allocation for general release but so far refreshing has proven fruitless.

In previous years I've been very lucky on the Hasbro toy shop when more stock has come available from orders being adjusted back to one from orders of multiples. I'm hopeful that this happens here.

Most SDCC product never sees the light of day outside the USA however there have been releases in Asia in the last few years. Hopefully this turns up somewhere else at a not insane price. I'm OK with $150 US but I don't want to spend much more than that. but man oh man is it pretty.

Since I'd need to use a mail forwarding service if I had bought it on Hasbro Pulse anyway, I bit the bullet and ordered it from Toys and Beyond, seems to be have good reputation, for $330. While way above the original $150USD price, I figure with shipping and GST, I'd get to $300AUD anyway. Plus I've never had MP-10.

As you can see, I'm trying very hard to justify my purchase. :p

I'd say that never having an MP-10, especially if you weren't planning on getting the default version is a good enough excuse justification

I hadn't really planned on getting any Masterpiece figures apart from the MPM, but thanks to EB/Zing I'll eventually have 2, Smokescreen and Lio Convoy. Guess I can blame them for Optimus too, since without Ectotron, I probably wouldn't have bought him haha.

If only they'd been able to get both Ectotron and Optimus. I'm sure they would've gotten way more pre-orders too.
