Glad to hear that Mate! :) I know too many people who's past 5-10 years is a complete blur because of the booze...

It's more fun to only have a few quiet ones (or not drink if you are the driver) and then remind your mates as to what they did while drunk as skunks the previous evening. Plus its also a lot of fun slamming cupboards and whatnot at 6am the next morning when everyone else is still recovering!

My parents paid as part of a gift for completing VCE, and hell was going to freeze over before they bought me a toy

that was the start of the year for me, then i work up one day and decided i hated waking up feeling like crap and being about $100 poorer each night i went out (ima big lad with a good tollerance :P)

and i wanted more toys, so its a win win in my books

Agreed, although I still go out on the odd occasion. I'm not a big drinker anyway (as in I usually don't drink much, not I can't handle much), so I don't get that big of a hole in my pocket

Woo Hoo! Thats me right here :D and in all honesty if I had my time again I probably wouldn't change a thing (except for the odd "coyote ugly" experience :P)

man all this talk of schoolies is even more whats the word, hurtful? ah well, i do enjoy the occasional slate or rum once in a while, but other than that i dont drink

apart from the apparent drinking, schoolies was about hanging with friends, which you can do in your backyard :D have a party man :D

I think the idea was that you got away from your parents and everyone who is a "Grown Up" and we on your own for a week or so, and the sort of freedom that went with that

This is the only subject you expect to pass this semester!? Where's your confidence gone? :D

I was failing plenty of subjects 1st year but by the time 3rd year came around, I'd pretty much gotten the hang of uni... :)
