SO.
I may not be that big a collector on these boards here, but at the very least, I would like to complete my Universe/Classics/Henkei lineup of :
Autobots on the Ark!

So... Who are they? Is there a list?

and I suppose a similar question would be which Decepticons should make the cut into a like-themed collection?

Would really like to know :D

Which continuity?

Quick answer is the original 1984 toys (plus Hauler in the cartoon or plus the Dinobots in the comic)

Have you got an Ark background (http://forums.tformers.com/talk/index.php?showtopic=91920) to go along with your 'bots? :)

& to give you a teaser of how cool they can look... ;)

Oh and in the comic Smokescreen, Tracks, Hoist, Skids, Grapple were aboard the ark in a fashion... but seemed to have been either cloned or just aboard in spark format and given new bodies on earth.

Possibly Red Alert too based on the UK comics.

And in the cartoon it's unknown if many of the 1985 Autobots came to Earth via the spacebridge or were aboard the Ark.

In Dreamwave continuity they include an extra Autobot aboard the Ark but never said who that was (and seemed to imply it was Superion, or maybe Red Alert again?).

It also possible that several of the Season 2 Autobots were in the Ark too but not 'onscreen' in the 1st season since they appeared out of no where. For the new Season 2 Cons they could have come through the space bridge.

That is such a cool display...although a little cramped there.

Great idea for a themed display too Albie. For me personally, G1 is pretty much cartoon all the way but I do wish I had have got into the comic way back when.
The way Gok mentions it makes it sound brilliant.

I'm not sure who was on the Ark, although fanfic will probably tell you that Shadowmus Prime was on there with his wife and kids. :P

What I'd like to know is where all the guys introduced in the movie popped up from.

O
Warrior

er er i dont know, personally i cant decide whether id count him as a seperate entity. Lazy animators, or whoever, why not just have the actor say "Reflector" or animate a generic:mad:

Jhiaxus and Monzo present evidence that Warrior is a separate character from Viewfinder, Spectro and Spyglass (Reflector) here (http://s90690880.onlinehome.us/jhiaxus/uscartoon/warrior.htm).

"D'oh!" http://s90690880.onlinehome.us/jhiaxus/images/uscartoon/warrior/MTMTEGenerics29.jpg

One odd occupant of the Nemesis from the G1 comics is G1 Nemesis Prime!

...this character was never named, but it is a black Optimus Prime who led the Decepticons' boarding attack on the Ark!

IMHO the G1 comics are a lot better than the cartoon. Far less campy and a lot more mature. They're doing a lot of reprints now. IDW are reprinting the Time Wars soon - that's a must-have for G1 fans IMO.

Whoa, that's awesome. You could make a case for it all tying together.

I like to think of the G1 toys as mix of cartoon/comics/toyline.

That's awesome gok- Just that this will be quite painful to fill up as classics, then :b

Thanks for all the contributions dudes :D

Personally I don't use Classics as G1. I usually see them as the "alternative G2" - i.e.: an evolution from G1 after the Battle of Klo (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Klo), as per their portrayal in the Classics comics. To me, my G1 toys are G1 and Classics belong in the Classics universe and never the twain shall meet.

And there's your other problem. Some of the original crews of the Ark and Nemesis may never be made as Classics/Universe/Henkei and another reason why I keep them separate.

I believe lcz is planning on making them all.
Is that right Albie? Coz if you're not I'm gunna commission them from you anyway. ;)

Correct. :D
Between digger, ice and STL I will likely make close to all of the ones that need bashing to make them, but that doesn't necessarily mean I will end up owning onces of my own :b customisers fatigue, man! XD

But yeah Gok! Going to kitbash, repaint, resculpt etc ones to make my own ^_^

if your talking about the black prime, then i think you should read/reread the first marvel g1 comic..

STL: it's from the Classics comic book "Crossing Over" by Fun Publications (OTFCC exclusive :().

Making a Classics hauler would be ridiculously simple if they ever release a Universe Grapple... otherwise you're gonna need to kitbash a Universe Inferno. ;) Which toys would you use to customise Classics Spyglass, Spectro & Viewfinder? I can't think of any recent toy trio that can merge into a camera. And would you still make the Reflector mode a micro-film camera or "update" it into a digital camera? :D

Watcha think (http://www.sector70.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=405)? :) & then there's this effort from a KO G1 Reflector... (http://www.sector70.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=937) ;)

Concur w/ Gok. The first is just three of the mold put together and while the 2nd is a great custom I'd like a stronger modernisation of Reflector

I really like the first one. It just needs a bit of re tooling in the head area and maybe a bit more detail in the torso to break up that green circle.
