sigh.. the Seeker 2 pack (warp & cracker) that was just announced is getting released as a US Target exclusive. guess we won't be getting them here.

The seekers look superb, and I'm near the tipping point of replacing my United seekers. What to do with them though. They certainly have served me well.

A couple things odd about these packs...

- there is only one ER number to each pack instead of each toy (like the Siege Seekers and fan-vote 3-pack).

- unless they plan to also release the Autobot clones in a 2-pack, this seems like an unusual pair of toys to reissue without the Autobot pair. Particularly since the Walmart Clone 2-pack was one Autobot Clone and one Decepticon Clone... the other two Clones were in those big, expensive, rare 5-packs, which made it easier and cheaper to get only one out of each pair.

Official images of the Decepticon Clones and the packaging have surfaced by an online store (https://news.tfw2005.com/2020/04/28/transformers-earthrise-cybertronian-villians-decepticon-clones-2-pack-new-stock-images-410694), showing us that this "reissue" 2-pack is indeed just an exact re-release of the Japanese release of the Clones. Even though the Hasbro ones have the colours of the original toys (pink parts), the Japanese ones (purple parts) still look good if you can't afford the Hasbro ones on the secondary market (both were sold in different multi-packs).

The Seeker 2-pack has been listed at the US Target website, for US$60 (https://news.tfw2005.com/2020/06/03/transformers-earthrise-wfc-e29-skywarp-thundercracker-seeker-2-pack-new-listing-via-target-website-412288). It isn't showing as being in-stock at this time, as the listing only just went up. When it does, it will mean a lot more stock being in circulation, which should drive down it's price on the secondary market (if it doesn't come here).

I’ve been watching Freeman Toys on EBay slowly increasing the price of it every few days. It was originally $215 shipped. Now $250. People still keep buying it. I probably would of bought it myself but unsure if I’d even get it due to the COVID shutdowns. Slot more showing up on EBay now so maybe wait it out and see if the price starts going down.

The precedent of the Rainmaker pack made very concerned when they announced these as another Target exclusive. Those were very expensive to get here even while they sat on shelves in stores in the US.

Store exclusive products really make obtaining these figures a pain. I understand if Target US make it an exclusive within the US, but how does it help sales if Hasbro don't release it at all in other countries? Perhaps takara will release it. Did the Japanese sites get siege Skywarp?

I dont remember Takara releasing it, apparently Taiwan got it but that didn't help me at least. The wiki has its own section for japan releases which does not include Skywarp. Skywarps wiki page does not mention a release outside of those two countries and the WFC figures have their own IDs for Takara releases if you look at the page for any shared releases.

Its frustrating because I wanted Spinister's partners too but also missed out on completing the set twice. I'm just buying as many discounted ER Starscream's as I can afford and justify, Cyberverse has got me reinterested in ones outside of the trio if I somehow do get the two-pack but otherwise that's what the first two will be.

Just... releasing them outside of NA would be good as a general rule and also they just didnt produce that many of Skywarp

if you start stalking the FB groups, they pop up occasionally. Robotkingdom & 1Toy had them advertised, but unless you're lucky, chances are very slim.
